- True to it's title - which means three knots - the story revolves around three characters and the unexpected happenings in their lives. Balaji (Kamal Haasan) and Prasad (Rajnikanth) both fall in love with a young, college girl Selvi (Sridevi) who lives with her sister Subhadra. Balaji and his roommate Prasad are bachelors who live alone in the same neighborhood Selvi falls in love with Balaji and does not reciprocate Prasad's feelings. Prasad is unable to face the rejection by Selvi. So, he gets Balaji out of his way. Selvi is furious but helpless. Her misfortune continues as she loses her sister also. She is left with no option but give her consent to marry Prasad. Will she now accept Prasad's love or does she seek revenge for her lover's death? Selvi chooses a novel and interesting path which forms the rest of the story.

🙅Just now finished watching it(17-01-2019). Actually am a Telugu guy (who is trying to learn Tamil). I've seen these 3 legends in lot of Telugu movies but it's a fresh feeling to watch them in Tamil movies😇. Man!! they all together made a miracle yar.. It's so original not like a ripoff of any Hollywood films😉. Story is interesting, Characters are well established. DOP,Editing,Music are Marvelous&Acting?!?! They nailed it. Now i know, why People adored these 4 legends(KB,S,K,R) so much😍 &even there are many Hidden messages in this movie.i loved it & I learned a lot from it. It's truly a lesson for Upcoming Directors.Thanks to Everyone who made this Movie 🤗 *Romba Nandri* 🙏.

Ive seen so many movies in which kamal has played the lead and rajni in a supporting role,But this film is simply fantastic.Rajni proved to the world that he is not just the style king but also equally as good as KAmal when it comes to acting.He literally ruled the screen.Hats off to ur acting Rajni sir

Watched this film of srudevi first tamil film as a full fleged heroine on 26th feb 2018 the second day of sridevi death.good picture by balachandran.sridevi looks chsrming beautiful and it is said that she was only 13 years old while making this filn.good hit picture good songs good music and good story..rajnikant also has acted very well.it is so difficult to digest that sridevi in teen and played step mother to rajni.hats to balachandra to make such film.
When it comes to acting,without a doubt Kamal is superior to rajini,No one can match his extreme level of acting..but Rajinikanth has something that pulls the audience's attraction..His aura and charismatic screen presence combined with his unique style is what made him distinct from others..I am only 19 and I'm a huge fan of thalaivar..and that is what tempting me to watch all of his old classics..Even kamal needs a strong script to give an indulging movie..but only thalaivar alone is enough to hold the movie single handedly with his Magical style and energetic presence..now Thalapathy vijay also enjoys that trait aftr Mgr n Rajini..PS- I love most of kamal movies also like sathi leelavathi,16 vayathinilae,aboorva sagotharargal...to dhasavatharam,unnai pol oruvan etc etc..A small example is, we can relate rajini and kamal to Dhoni n virat kohli..we all know who is most talented and skillful..But the other one has won a lot of hearts( True fans)

Even though Rajini movies are remake, he will not copy the original and try to act realistically. Komali Kamal is a curse to Indian Cinema. His face expression and dialogue deliveries made him a Komali. Great Director K.S.Gopalakrishnan rejected him because of his poor expression and dialogue delivery in a movie Kurathimagan.

KB was a student of puttana kanagal Kannada director, he had made 100 times better movies in Kannada, however rajinini sridevi coulnt get chances in Kannada movies , it was such a good industry, however it was a very good time, Tamil n Kannada actors lived like brothers , KB has directed few movies in Kannada, he is a great director, we would watch it now also, n off course suhasini, maniratnam n iliayaraj contributed a lot to our movies , thanks
