Damn, I sound absolutely hilarious. Making those bullfrog noises from time to time. Had so much fun doing this, congratulations to all these folk who entered. There were some great works even outside the TOP 10, and as for the TOP 5, some entries could blow any of my work out of the water!
You did well! We will do some more videos similar to this.
I enjoyed this video and seeing all the great work that was entered. My brother and I ran a league at our local games store, it was really fun. Side note: beastmen and wood elves were broken warbands. The judging was entertaining also, sounded like you smoked a three paper before ya started.
Good job and thanks for sharing.
1 hour? You spoil us.
Ahaha. It almost killed me. Quite literally😅. Had to go have emergency surgery right in the middle of it.
Thank you, I think these kind of video, where everyone have the privilege to learn how a judge do his valuation, is pure gold, maybe better, is pure wyrdstone. I fall in love with grim dark paint few months ago and these piece is my second attempt, all I have learn is based on both your video tutorial, and I can’t believe you pick my entry for the final! Now I really have to learn how to make proper photos, and maybe to loose more paint control in favor of a most impressionist approach (who is the really part of grimdark paint I love) . Thank you again for these great opportunity. Yours Malvino
We loved your entry, Malvino! I would love to see it photographed in a way that really shows it off!
Your entry was simply astounding overall! 100% Mordheim. Unmatched in that
Amazing stuff! Well done on the judging, really enjoyed how you came with suggestions for improvement and commented on all the things done really well. Sometimes when judges only focus on the worst parts of a paintjob it kind of kills the joy and the will to compete for the rest of us mortals who cant really aspire to win yet. As an inspirational it will definetly draw out the best of each and every one. As nit picking goes I realize you do have to critique and do the "hair cleaving" as we say in Sweden. Otherwise it would be hard to find a winner :) Thank you for doing this, thank you for showcasing Mordheim and it's denizens. Cant wait for another chance to compete with this theme!
Really good insights. Thank you.
I always loved the setting of Mordheim. Makes me want to collect actual proper "Cities of Sigmar" miniatures.
I've enjoyed my little delve into the city of the damned! Very Inspiring and its cool to see everyone's take on Mordheim.
Oh please do it!
love these kinds of videos so much. they are incredibly inspiring and I always feel like I learn a lot as a hobbyist. can't possibly get enough.
Oh, that's cool! Thanks for letting us know!
Incredibly usefuland captivating, thanks for sharing!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for the feedback! I have to agree with all the comments you both made. Spot on 👌
Hey! Excellent work, buddy! You keep grabbing that second spot, haha.
I missed out..
I am soooo loving this critique. YOU MUST do more like this. This is really pulling me in.
That is awesome! We will do more!
All of these models were amazing. I was taking mental notes on everything. It was fun hearing you guys banter. Alessandro, your english is better than most Americans I know!
Oh it's very kind of you, thanks! I was worried I couldn't put two thoughts together in a live recording ahaha. We had so many laughs it was super fun to do. We'll do more for sure! Thanks again deeply
That's so awesome to hear!!
big fan of yours and Dark Ages Workshop style and content. This was fantastic - thank you for the feast of a video.
Glad you enjoyed it! We had a lot of fun making it!
Fantastic, thank you deeply!
Holy crap. Everyone one of those is amazing.
They are!! Thanks!
Grimdark Mordheim ... besser geht es kaum
It's true!
Loved it! Great job guys.
Ty ty! 😊
🙌 Thank you!
YES MORE GRIMDARK
That's right!
Thanks so much for the feedback! Looking forward to improving from this experience😃
You're so welcome! Was a pleasure having you!
These were great. Reminds of the first time I opened the Something’s Rotten in Kinslev module as a teenager.
I really like like the whole video, amazing work. but why nobody is asking for the music? I always love the music choices, can you give me some bands or songs to use in my painting/rol sessions?
Thanks for the channel
On the 2nd mini. Despite of the super nice painting the skull is just a tad too big and therefore of proportion.
Awesome video and minis. Keep up the great work
How did I not see this video 😩. I follow almost all these awesome mini painters. Excellent work
Did you guys do the scores individually? They are very similar. What can happen when you score them together, is that they overlap much more, than when you score them on your own and combine them later. Hope this makes sense.
Some mini's like the 4th one had visible mold lines. You guys didn't go into those. I would argue it could have negative impact on the modeling score.
Love this show guys! I'm new to Mordheim and that's why I've joined the compendium, this commentary complements that perfectly 💪🏻
Awesome!! Thanks so much!!
Fantastic, thank you deeply! The series is gonna be massive.
Some incredible miniatures here! You kept talking about a fur technic, what is that? I recently got the skaven half of skaventide and i think they're perfect canidates for a grim dark style
Yeah. We have that on our Guide to Mordheim series, episode 9, Skaven. Dark Ages Workshop teaches how to use real hair on miniatures.
it was great guys, carry on grimdarkness
We appreciate you.
Really enjoyed it and learned a lot!
Awesome!! That's great!
Absolutely loving this!
❤ awesome!! I'm glad to hear that.
Are we getting more of these types of videos?
Oh my. Stoked
😊 hope you enjoyed it.
How did you do this fur technique @ 21:40? I can’t find a video for that
That is detailed in episode 9 of the Grimdark Compendiums Huide to Mordheim. You can find it on our site or as UA-cam a member.
How often do you have painting challenges?
Almost every month. They start on the 1st of each month.
Can you share any tutorial on using real fur in miniature kitbash/painting? Very interesting!
It is talked about and shared in the Grimdark Compendium's Guide to Mordheim.
hey there, can you do a death korps of krieg grim dark? :)
Certainly. That is definitely on my list.
@@GrimdarkCompendium thanks :)
