- I think @HarmonyGuitars are producing some of the most compelling, best sounding/playing and visually pleasing guitars in their class. My Silhouette with Bigsby has been played to bits since coming in, and I'm thrilled to get to check out the newest offering - the Jupiter Thinline.
The Jupiter Thinline is a brilliant, resonant, light-weight guitar with sleek finishings and amazing feel. I'll keep it short and sweet here to give you a taste of what to expect with these guitars: powerful yet sparkly cleans, amazing acoustic resonance, and classy aesthetics.

Sounds killer man! Maybe my favorite Harmony yet!
Totally, love what they did with this line. The resonance is incredible and it's such a vibey guitar aesthetically.
I’ve always been a Fender man but when I found the Harmony Jupiter, I had to investigate, then I ended up up buying one and I’m glad I did. The neck is fatter than a Fender but not by much. The guitar is much lighter than a Les Paul too, but it’s the pickups that make this guitar a must have. Amazing clarity and lots of “Les Paul” bite from the bridge pickup.
Totally. I'm also a huge Fender fan, and historically not a big LP guy, but this guitar kind of scratches that itch with a bit more of an indie rock leaning. The pickups here and in my Silhouette are really unique and sparkly and just a huge fan of what Harmony is putting out these days.
Very nice indeed
Indeed!
These guitars are so cool. Fun video!
agreed 100% ! Stoked to have this one in. Kind of scratched my LP itch without the back ache, and I love the clarity of these pickups.
You music makes me want to take a drive in the country here in Texas 👍
Love it :) thanks for listening

Ok - thoughts on the nitro finish? I’m so intrigued by the Harmony line (this model in particular), but I just wouldn’t want to see any finish wear from normal use. IDK, am I being stupid?
I think that’s a personal preference thing, so you’re not crazy! I’ve had my silhouette for like 3 years? And have had stretches of playing it a lot and i haven’t noticed wear yet on it. (I only mention the silhouette because I’ve owned it longer and played it more. I think you still have to play it in pretty well for it to start to wear, and I like how the nitro on guitars wears and ages. But some prefer the poly finishes for the reason you mention. I would recommend either of the harmonys tho, love them and I think they’re great quality instruments for the money.
@@AmbientEndeavors thanks! Appreciate your insight.
I love my Sillhouette to death! I'd be curious if this falls in the compliment or replacement category in your opinion. I lead worship from electric a lot (but am historically an acoustic player) and really like the idea of the chambered body and more acoustic feel.
I think it does complement the Silhouette well, while also sharing some similarities - although mainly in tones. I assume the neck mini-hum is what's in the Silhouette, so that position sounds pretty close to the Silhouette - bright and articulate for a neck pickup. I really love the bridge humbucker. It's rich and full and crunchier than the minis in the Silhouette. I'd imagine the resonance and the feel of the neck and guitar body might feel more familiar to someone coming from acoustic than the Silhouette does.
I'll be doing a full review in the coming weeks, so drop any other or more specific Q's you have here and I'll try and hit on them in that vid!
Would be interesting to know if you recommend this over the silhouette for someone that can only get one and newer player. I like the idea of chambered body because I like to play unplugged just messing around occasionally.
I'd say if you like playing unplugged that alone would lead me to this one. They're both great ; I love the Silhouette vibe and use that pretty often live, but this one is a more comfortable and far more resonant guitar for just playing unplugged.
How would you compare the neck between the Silhouette and Jupiter?
Jupiter Thinline has a tad more chunky C neck (think LP, but not baseball bat). Silhouette is a softer C and feels thinner overall. I find both quite comfortable.
