- Join us as we visit Disneyland theme park in Anaheim, California for our first time together, and do a lot of firsts, finding new favorites and revisiting many classic favorites - in February 2023 during the Disney 100th anniversary! So much magic and nostalgia as we ride submarines and boats, cars, spaceships and bobsleds, visit Mickey's ToonTown, ride classic dark rides like Mr. Toad and Snow White, see the brand new Encanto projection show on It's a Small World and the brand new 100th anniversary nighttime show, Wondrous Journeys on Sleeping Beauty Castle, try delicious snacks and treats and SO MUCH MORE! We ride so many rides, see so much fun entertainment like the Disneyland band and even get to march with them, ride a horseless carriage down Main Street USA, ride the monorail, see the Hat Box Ghost and all the fun differences between Disneyland and Walt Disney World rides and theming, just so, so much magic happens during Disney's 100th anniversary at Disneyland Resort, and I am so happy to be able to share it with you! From two Florida Walt Disney World locals visiting Disneyland who have rarely spent time in this park, everything is new and special for us! Please enjoy spending the day with us at Disneyland!

Dang Jackie. This video must have been exhausting to edit, and even more exhausting to film. A whole day at Disneyland is no joke, and you two killed it taking us through nearly EVERYTHING!
Haha I took my time tho, the only vid I edited on the trip was the Super Nintendo World one, the rest I’m editing from back home and taking my time putting them together. The trickiest part is having footage from two cameras, two phones, and a GoPro to put all together 😂 I don’t normally do that so it was A LOT!! I tried my best to give it nice pacing and flow tho, and give everything the ✨feel✨ of the moment, ya know ❤️ tried my best and hope I just captured the feeeels bc we seriously enjoyed every minute of it! ❤️❤️❤️

Disneyland is my home park! I have a greater appreciation of how small and intimate it is

Literally that moment was such a core memory for us, a warm fresh cinnamon-y churro in line for Mr. Toad? You can just feel when a moment is blissful memories in the making! 😍
@@SuperEnthused That is one of the things that make you a joy to watch. You pay attention to and appreciate the right things and you never treat experiences (even ones you’ve done countless times much less new ones) like old hat. I’m not one to gush unnecessarily but those are the things that set you apart. When it’s a persona for the camera just to get clicks that shows through, and so does authenticity. Plus you and Sam are ridiculously adorable together… that helps. 😉

An hour long Super Enthused video?! That hour flew by! It's hard to pick a favorite part of the video but if I had to choose one it would be seeing how happy you two were visiting Walt's original Magic Kingdom! Disneyland will always hold a special place in my heart because it was the first Disney Park I ever went to! Amazing job Jackie!
My first trip to DL was in 1975 and I visited over 50 more times in the 70s and 80s. I now live down the street from wdw with AP the past 12 yrs but my heart will forever belong to Disneyland ❤ I'm so happy you guys got to enjoy it together 🥰 I'm not sure if you know the reason why the HM takes you down an elevator but once the door reopens you are actually walking thru a tunnel to be able to go under the railroad tracks which takes you into the show building where you get on the doom buggy. How cool is that?
I am SO looking forward to this!!! I haven’t been to Disneyland since I was a baby and while I am so grateful to live here in Orlando so I can roam WDW whenever I want, I really want to visit Disneyland as an adult. You are one of the only vloggers I can watch all the way through so this will be a fun watch. 🎉🎉🎉
I appreciate that soo much!! And yes totally grateful we have WDW, which is huge with so much to do, but it’s definitely special to visit Disneyland and have that experience too! It’s so neat to see the differences too, so many specula things!

Jackie we could NOT believe an hour passed so quickly!!! This video rocked!! In mine and Kay's humble opinion this was the very best Disneyland video we've ever seen. You truly brought out the magic, colors, and excitement of this beautiful park better then anyone ever has. I've never wanted to visit it more then now. Amazing video Jackie. I’ve seen the Disneyland band outside the castle, but the characters haven’t been there. So fun!
Also glad you got to ride “the Backbreaker” (Matterhorn). Fortunate you got the Fantasyland side. The Tomorrowland side is a lot rougher and earns the nickname.
Ahhhh we were talking about the two sides and wondering which we would get but I didn’t even know 😂 it was bumpy but not rough at all, really pleasant! Now I know which is the better side!!

It’s so much better than Magic Kingdom’s version and (in my opinion) one of the best snacks at Disneyland.

@@whotakesallmynames It’s been a really long time since I’ve had the WDW grey stuff (because Be Our Guest is no longer quick service). But the WDW one was smaller and in like a paper cup.
It lacks the shortbread cookie bottom we have at Disneyland, doesn’t have the raspberry on top, nor did it have nearly as much icing.
Theirs is almost more like a mini-cupcake with a chocolate cake base and icing on top only, where ours has icing cover every inch of it.
Overall, it’s larger and a more unique treat in Disneyland compared to its Magic Kingdom counterpart.
Edit: I just realized you might be referring to the Matterhorn and not the Grey Stuff, and the answer there is I don’t know. 😂 I just know the other side jerks you around a lot more. It’s similar to Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom also having a gentler side.
It’s probably just that the tracks don’t run parallel to the whole time, so there are different turns and things.

Aww yay! You say “they” a lot when referring to Disneyland. Disneyland is YOURS too. It’s every Disney fan’s hometown. It’s how Walt intended it: “Disneyland is your land.” ❤
You're so right - in my head it's like Florida is "mine" because it's my home, and California is "theirs" because I don't live there or go often, but both are all of ours!!!! Thank you for this, it's so true!
It is definitely OUR hometown. If this were a Hallmark movie, we’d have already hooked up with the hot lumberjack who we haven’t seen since high school. 😂
Also, next time, I highly suggest watching the fireworks halfway up Main Street. It’s a much more immersive experience and with more lighting effects that the people up by the castle don’t get to see.

When we saw the time stamp of 1:04:18 it was like "No way are we watching an hour long vlog"... Well, every minute was wonderful! Your enthusiasm and videography were great! It has been many years since we were at Disneyland but this inspired us to return sooner rather than later. Next time, just get that Blue Bayou reservation...

Being from NC obviously I've been to Disneyworld, but nothing compares to Disneyland. The Cars ride was absolutely the best amusement park ride that I have been on, except the Star Wars rides of course! Y'all are making me want to go back!!!!

Love Disneyland too. I miss the 20,000 leagues under the seas too. The Nemo take they have at DL is definitely not better. Thank you for sharing and bringing back some good memories from DL. Looking forward to your video from California Adventures. You’ll love that park too, ooh the Incredicoaster! I hope you ride the Mickey Wheel (or whatever they call it now). That is sooo much fun too.
Welcome back to the real Disneyland!! Pure joy. My daughter gets to go in about two weeks, I haven't been since February 2020. Hoping for a return journey sometime!! The Encanto projection was amazing! I first saw it on the third weekend of last April!! The Wondrous Journey show was fantastic! I saw it in front of the castle last Saturday night!!

Disneyland was the first park I went to in my life, I was 10 years old. I think I was lucky enough to go some four times. My daughter took us to Walt Disney World and i can say it was one of the best trips we ever had. Thank you for taking me back to my magical place. I love it!

Never been to WDW, & made a nostalgia list of things I rly miss in CA for our first visit: People Mover, Tough to Be a Bug, Carousel of Progress, Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse, Country Bear Jamboree!

If you have never seen the It's a Small World facade decorated for Christmas...you MUST!! It's breathtaking enough in its normal state, but add Christmas lights at night and, wow!
I'm always disappointed when I go to the WDW version, but I understand why they had to have it smaller scale indoors.

We had a vip tour guide our last visit. She arranged it so that we could ride through twice without getting off. It was an amazing experience 🎉
Disneyland is so magical, but my goodness - it looks like it was a busy day! Disneyland Space Mountain is so fun. Mr. Toad's Wild Ride is still Mike's favorite, and I can't blame him. It's such a unique experience. I don't remember ever riding the Magic Kingdom version, so it's a must when we visit Disneyland! GROGU! I would have fangirled so hard over Mando. Come on, WDW. Let us have the Child! No one on the Starcruiser will be upset by seeing Mando, I promise!

The major problem with 20000 leagues was the cleaning and the constant replacement of track. It was such a hassle that disney had enough and took it out. The only way that the nemo one survived was newer substances that retard the algae growth and stripping down to just rock and water with splashes of color with no animatronics. The japanese version is literally on dry land with a water filled window with a bubbler in that window to simulate underwater movement. every scene in the japanese ride is dry and with animatronics and is completely controlled. while the sister ride was journey to the center of the earth with the exact same layout as everest but enclosed with a different theme.
46:24 - the Pirates here at Disneyland is a lot better than the one at DisneyWorld!!

I like to say that Disneyland is concentrated magic. Love seeing people familiar with WDW see it for the first time, was a total trip the first time for me when I moved here.

0:15 There are parks and attractions at WDW that we definitely couldn't do without, but there is literally _nothing_ in the world like that feeling of standing at the gates of the happiest place on earth! 😍Seeing you both so excited gets us excited, even though our next trip is still a few years out. The opening performance with the icons was incredible, and so uniquely Disney. Loving the new fountains around the castle for the 100th, too! Matterhorn could definitely use some TLC and/or retracking, at least as of our last visit in December 😂But it's definitely a must-do with all the amazing theming and the splashdown! Roaming characters also MAKE the park imo, a huge part of why we prefer West Coast to East Coast. Another part? Space Mountain is 100000x better in Disneyland and might legit be my favorite ride in the park! We were also a bit nervous when they announced the 'toon-up' for Toon Town, but it seems like they've really done a good job at keeping the heart and soul of the land in tact. We're already missing Disneyland SO much and can't wait to go back! Glad you went with the 1-hour cut 😊✨It turned out so well!!
Someone told us that the Fantasyland track which we rode was the smoother one, so I guess that’s why it wasn’t as rough as I thought it would be! It was bumpy but felt pretty smooth and nice, so now we know that’s the “good” track, although now I wish we could have ridden the Tomorrowland track too so I could feel the difference! It’s so cool to see the differences in the rides and how each park has better versions of different things. Overall tho WDW is much bigger and my home park I grew up going to so it will always be home to me, but I’m happy to have a little second home at Disneyland haha! Thank you again for the support and advice on the hour cut!!

Awesome 1 hour long vlog Jackie!! Absolutely loved it!! It’s such a fun atmosphere and there are some different rides that Disney World doesn’t have!! Loved the snow white ride it looked so cool! I also really loved the nighttime show that was so cool and so colorful!! I loved the slide show of all the Disney movies while playing the music!! so glad you guys are having a great time!! You guys crushed it! Disneyland has sooo many of my favorite rides, I can almost never stuff in that many rides in one day. Psst…Don’t tell Kitra & Peter, I actually love Disneyland resort a little better: 1. Matterhorn 2. Pirates of the Caribbean has 2 drops, longer ride, & New Orleans square 3. Indiana Jones ride 4. Galaxy’s Edge is somehow in the same park. It’s impressive how many rides are stuffed in one park/resort.

What a treat to have an hour long Disneyland vlog! I love the projection show at the end; no need for fireworks imo …. My son is autistic and afraid of the fireworks so we always miss out on the end of the Eve show but he would LOVE those projections 😅

One of my favorite things about Disneyland/Cali Adventure is the ease of access to characters. We have never wanted to spend the time at WDW parks to take photos because of how scheduled they are. Our last trip to Disneyland we took so many it was "Goofy", lol.
Hi Jackie. Thank you for sharing the Magic. Mickey will always be the Leader of the Band. It is hard to imagine a world without Disney. At the restaurant when your dogs were barking, I thought you would have gotten a Hot Dog. When you were on Autopia, that car in front of you could have been the Little Old Lady from Anaheim. Keep on Dancing and on to the next Fun Adventure.

This makes me so dang happy! I have never been to Disneyland. Seeing just a glimpse of it from another awesome vlog just confirms I really really need to go. Walking in the original park that Walt imagined and built would be absolutely amazing. I love all the classic attractions, and I miss 20,000 leagues. I'm so glad they have Nemo. Constant smiles, wet bum, and dogs barking just means you guys had a Blast! Lol. Great video Jackie, so fun!

Thanks, Chris! I don't think they have better of EVERYTHING tho, they don't have EPCOT, they don't have the Guardians of the Galaxy ride or the PeopleMover (anymore) and lots of other things. There are better versions or different things at each park that make them different enough to keep it interesting. Both magical in their own ways.
