I'm done buying products that charge me monthly after I've already paid for them. Eight Sleep won't let you use the app functions unless you pay them monthly. If I'm wrong, let me know.

Yeah I have noticed this has become a thing more and more, it’s absolutely infuriating as a money grab. A lot of these are not cheap. I bought an Apollo neuro the other day, I have mixed feelings about its efficacy, they cost a few hundred pounds. At least if there was an app with loads of content it would go some way to adding value. But NO! 80% of it is locked behind a £99 a year paywall.
Same with a hatch sunrise alarm I bought, pulsetto, muse, airofit,
Only my HeartMath and Flow TDCS devices do not have this.
Like I could kind of understand if they had paid add ons for a one off fee because they released new content beyond what was originally promised (though this used to happen for free) but monthly subscriptions of £15 a month are ridiculous.
If I paid a monthly subscription for each wearable that I had it would cost me a third the cost of my monthly rent each month.

For less than the monthly charge for the app, I can just pay for running the AC a little more to get a lower room temperature.
