Overcoming Weed Addiction: A Personal Journey

  • In my experience quitting weed is easier than not going back to using it again. I had no skills to live life without it. To finally quit for good I had to learn new skills and adopt different attitudes. Getting clean was the best thing that ever happened to me. The reason I make these videos is to inspire others who are and have suffered from this addiction. I hope you find some value here. n
    Much love

33 years ago I was a weed addict and I quit to drive semi truck "you get random tests •so I have not gotten high in 33 years I am retired 18 months ago and thought let's try some of that new weed. I instantly went back into smoking full-blown weed addiction after 33 years .I used alcohol for my escape in and out of sobriety going to 12 step meetings.. you're just a big help and an inspiration keep doing what you do,43 days no weed, no alcohol 14 months..

Nice video as usual. I’m on 6 months after 20 years of use. It was just time.. off and on battle for last few years. But I started noticing weed affecting my heart and that was the last straw for me. No thanks! I want to live! But besides the heart issues, the fear weed created in my head was so real and irrational. It controlled me for so long. I still am trying to get rid of those fears and phobias after 6 months of no use. It might take a while.. but I will keep trucking.

ive made a lot of strides this summer by refusing to buy anything like flower or carts, but ive still been buying thc lotion and 5mg pills and occassionally some tincture, but its helped me so much. i dont get high anymore, i just genuinely use it to cope, it doesnt give me buzz just calms me, and i feel so much healthier and feel like im not giving myself cancer, and feel like im not throwing away 50$ every week to buy flower. these vids are so deep, appreciate it. ive also been letting myself smoke when i visit a friend who has a cart or flower, and its really helping me ease in and not relapse into buying smoke and being addicted to buying smoke

You have helped me meditate and change my relation with the plant. I was a chronic longer than you.
Ive been clean for a few months.
I think its best for me finding balance.
Dry or Addicted, dont work for me.
My mantra for life is "one hit on sunday while riding in the woods" from my own grow. Responsible/Spiritual use. Has been working for me beautiful. Dry or in abuse I cannot function. One hit on sunday is a blessing.
    Thats me.
You are a great deal of inspiration, although I know you are all for complete abstinence. ❤❤❤ Muchas love from 🇲🇽

      i absolutely resonate with you
this is exactly my situation, being dry makes me concrete and cold, being addicted makes me depressed
      moderations is always the key
being addicted to weed is a big weakness, avoiding weed altogether just because you cant manage it is also weakness
      moderation is power

100 days free after 4 years of regular smoking
im feeling very bad now, even worst than before starting to smoke weed
i dont know whats wrong with me because at the same time i just dont like to get back to my addiction at all, i want to stay sober
but yet i dont feel good about anything, i may even lose my job and im broken financially
i thought quitting weed will give me more energy and motivation but it did not happened, im still broken from inside
    but i will continue

Find the purpose in yourself. Don’t think that drug will help when in fact it makes things worse. A temporary feeling can’t solve it. Being high can’t fix it. Keep going. Don’t give up. You didn’t come this far to give up on your journey. You made this decision for a reason. Be happy. Be proud of yourself. Stay strong brother. We’re all in this thing together. Dont throw your success down the drain for something that won’t help you but break you internally.

I relate. Until I had a life I was absolutely on fire for I always went back to it.
The good news is that when you go all in on life you have no time or thought of using. Once you clarify your higher calling the thought of weed disgusts you. I'm pulling for you. Much love

Im using medical cannabis to help with my ptsd. I quit for awhile however recently picked it back up. Went from smoking a quarter a day to maybe a bowl. Im trying to slow down with hopes to fully quit one day.

Had a really rough end to my fourth year of college. Broke up with a girl that was trouble but it left me feeling empty. Before I got home I was high nearly every day and felt so horrible. Now I’m home I haven’t touched weed so far, and hoping to keep it that way. Wish me luck, thanks for the videos

Those epiphanies still come for you without smoking?
I don’t get them when I don’t smoke? So I stop smoking and I’m less creative and don’t have deep thoughts , I’m just a worker doing fuck all for fuck all money
