Hello PedalGuy I'm having a problem with my gigboard. I'm trying to use a VPJr ErnieBall as an Expression pedal in my Gigboard but isn't working. The volume or the pitch (wham) only goes until 36%. Could help please? TKS!!!
Hi Pedro, Thanks for your question. Can you let me know if you're setting it up as shown in this article? bit.ly/2WJLVMj If so, I can ping the HR team to see if I can get you an in depth answer.
ThePedalGuy Thank you so much for your answer In fact, I’m using a standard 1/4 TS cable. I didn’t know that a different type of cable would be necessary. And I didn’t set the appropriate range for the pedal. How can I do this? Again, Thank you so much
Same problem with my Moog pedal. I was testing the whammy effect, my Moog goes from 24 to 80%, I tried the switch at the back between Standard and other, doesn't make a difference. This is incredibly frustrating
Hello! I would like to ask you a question regarding a problem I have with this pedal and my gigboard. The problem is that when connecting it, with the corresponding trs cables, being assigned to the volume block in option A and to a wah block in option B, the failure occurs that when activated it modifies the equalization of the tone of my rig, in the volume function, even leaving it back in the 100% position. When I switch to another rig and come back to the same one, it corrects itself, but I go back to using it and the same thing happens again, so I can't have a constant tone unless I don't use the pedal. I ask you for help because I consulted it on the headrush website, in the error reporting section, but no one has reported the same problem. It would be of great help if you could replicate this and tell me if you notice the same or not, I clarify that I tried another expression pedal from another brand and the same thing happens, you move it and the equalization of the rig changes slightly filtering some frequencies. If the pedal remains static, this problem does not occur. From already thank you very much.
Is it possible to set the expression pedal as a bypass pedal when its "up" but when you press down on it, it turns on and activates wah? I dont want to have to assign a stomp to turn my wah on and off.
Ive got an ernie ball expresion pedal and ive got a problem, the gig recognise it, but it doesnt go to 100% it only goes to 30% as a top, do u know how can i resolve this problem?
hi..i just wanna ask if the Electro Harmonix Expression Pedal will work just like this?or any expression pedal?coz before i thought that only the mission engineering will work for whammy as well,,thnk you
ThePedalGuy thank you so much..i just want to make sure also because cant afford the mission engineering..but if the electro harmonix will work no need fo me to buy a hotone as well..electro harmonix is a lot cheaper..hope you reply soon coz im planning to include that nextweek on my purchase😊😊
Hi, i probed some pedals (volume and wah) cry baby, BOSS, fractal, line 6, zoom ... None served... Just a both works to 30% , for example the vol reads from 0% to 38% I can't turn up to 100% volumen ... I don't know if I need a trs STEREO cable 1/4 or I need exclusive a expresión pedal , in the video post a hotone wah? Thanks for any answer
Thanks for your efforts. It helps a lot. I wonder can I link 2 expression pedals into HR Gigboard, to make 1st exp. pedal for WAH, and 2nd exp. pedal for VOLUME. Is this possible? then, what cable do I need? Thanks in advance !
Would the Mission SP-1 work with the gigboard version? I think it had a toe switch too so if I use a TRS cable would be able to knock the Wah on and off just like a crybaby etc? Thanks 👍
The Gigboard has a toe switch input and controls for a toe switch, so even if it's not made for Headrush, you can still use the toe switch on the pedal
I have the headrush gigboard, what mission pedal should I use with it? What is the model number/name please? Also, are there any alternative pedals I can use?
Hi Evan, Thanks for your question. Basically any Expression pedal will do the trick. The Hotone is a good affordable solution. There's also the DOD Mini expression. And Moog makes a decent exp pedal as well. EHX makes a great looking expression pedal but truth be told we haven't tried that one.
Question: I noticed that the Hotone pedal has a toe switch. Assuming power is supplied, it is possible to set up in the GigBoard the "A" pedal as, say as volume pedal, and then the "B" pedal (after the toe switch is depressed presumably) as, say, a "wah"? I know the pedal itself has a wah, but I'd like to be able to set up two (2) separate blocks in the GigBoard, namely, a "volume" pedal in one (A), and a "wah" pedal in another (B)? That should work, right? Thanks, David
Reading the threads below it looks like you've already answered this yes: ThePedalGuy2 weeks agoHi Bill. Thanks for the question. This is directly from the Headrush Gigboard manual "You can connect an optional expression pedal (sold separately) to control two parameters (in Classic Mode) or two sets of parameters (in Advanced Mode). If your expression pedal has a toe switch, you can use the toe switch to switch between them-Expression Pedal A or B. " So, you will need an expression pedal that has the standard TRS output and a Toe Switch output as well. Hope that helps.
Hi David, Thanks for your question. Well....if you wanted to toggle between the two expression pedals in the HR, you would need to get an expression pedal that has an output for the toe switch. The Hotone pedal doesn't have this as it's a multi use pedal (wah/expression/volume). Here's a link to Mission Engineering that has a pedal with two outputs for just this purpose. bit.ly/2CF6EGT
I’d like to run two separate expression pedals. One dedicated to volume (always engaged) and the other for wah (only engaged when I heal back from full on). I see one insert that says toe. Does that mean I have to have a pedal with a toe switch? I have two without the switch. Thanks in advance for any advice you can give!

Thanks for the reply. I don't think this will work as the Ernie Ball site makes no mention of that possible feature. You should double check and contact Ernie Ball to be sure.
Hey! Great video as always, I'd like to ask your opinion on something. Why do you think they stripped the ability to have alternate outputs from the gigboard? I mean it's crazy that I can't use the gigboard with a real amp and still choose to monitor what I'm playing by switching an amp and cab on the headphones out .-. Thanks!
Hi. Thanks for your question and kind words. Honestly couldn't tell you what drove that decision on the part of the Headrush team. Best guess would be cutting down production costs in order to hit that $649 price point.

Probably not. In order to really use this feature fully, it needs to be an expression pedal.
