    This was very helpful! Quick question- when you do other activities on the Stryde bike, can you upload the rides onto your Strava profile? Is there a way to link the two?

    • @jamiedugan
      @jamiedugan  3 роки тому +1

      Thank you Nicole! I use my Apple Watch to record my workouts and then import them to Strava. You should be able to do this with most smart watches. Hopefully some day the Stryde app will be compatible with Strava but as far as I know you cannot upload from the Stryde app to Strava.

    This was very helpful, Jamie. Do you need an ANT+ dongle as well on your Stryde bike or do the speed and cadence sensors work without it?

    Thanks for the video. Great option with screen mirroring with Stryde bike.
    I would think you need resistance to calculate watts in Zwift. How does that work? Or do you need a power meter as well?

    • @jamiedugan
      @jamiedugan  3 роки тому

      Thank you! A power meter would be the best and most accurate. Somehow it calculates roughly from the speed, cadence and heart rate with this set up.

      Well even though this looks really cool and I was interested in having online spinning classes also and still Zwift I don’t think it is officially allowed in the Zwift Racing League where you need exact wattage. 🤔

    hi guys i wanted to know what resistance you ride on. i find 50 is not to hard but 55 and 60 is what im on. whats to see what others are riding on

    Thanks for the video. Is zwift able to use the resistance to change it during a hill climb?

    • @jamiedugan
      @jamiedugan  3 роки тому

      Thank you! With my set up I have to manually change the resistance. You would need a power meter like wahoo kicker or something for ZWIFT to change the resistance I believe.

    • @MOVIEKICKS
      @MOVIEKICKS 2 роки тому

      @@jamiedugan how do you know which resistance # to use? Does Zwift tell you the # that's applicable for the Stryde?

    I'll try this again and maybe I can get my spin bike sensors to work with ZWIFT. But honestly, ZWIFT is simply not designed for this type of setup in regards to spin bikes. I used MOOFIT & all 3 sensors broke-down. I'll check out Wahoo & Garmin and hopefully those will work better.
    *Here's the real issue, some bright, hardworking programer will have to design a ZWIFT like game specifically for spin bike users who have HR, cadence, & speed sensor attached to their bikes.*

    I’m a cyclist and was looking for an indoor option. How does the Stryde stationary fit set up compare with a road bike? I am bummed that none of the stationary bikes allow you to move the handle bar forward or backward. I was going to buy the wahoo bike but that’s about $4k. Can I get away with the Stryde set up as an option to cycling outdoors? Thanks

    • @jamiedugan
      @jamiedugan  2 роки тому

      I love it for an indoor option. The seat moves up, down and front to back. Handle bars move up and down. I have had no issues with fitting it to me.

      Yes you got it. A heart rate sensor is great to have as well but not needed to move in ZWIFT. I use my Apple Watch.

    I tried this years ago but I couldn’t figure out what to put in for the wheel size. What did u use?Also I thought the stride bike would work with zwift without the need for extra sensors.

    • @jamiedugan
      @jamiedugan  2 роки тому +1

      It may work now without the extra sensors but when I set this up last year I needed the wahoo sensors for it to work. Wheel size I used the wahoo factory default. I tried others but there really is no difference , the accuracy is not going to be that great either way but its fun to zwift.

    How are you setting the resistance? Are you just adjusting the knob on your bike and the sensors are automatically calculating resistance?

    • @jamiedugan
      @jamiedugan  3 роки тому

      I’m using the resistance knob manually and trying to match it to the percentage of incline on the ZWIFT hill. The sensors are calculating the speed and cadence.

    • @jamiedugan
      @jamiedugan  3 роки тому +1

      Oh and yes it calculates the power based off the speed and cadence. To make it more acurate you could get power meter pedals.

    • @jamiedugan

      It’s a cheap work around to get ZWIFTING. A power meter would be more accurate. I can’t remember if it gives you a power reading. I know it gives speed and cadence.

    Thanks for the video. Not sure if Stryde changed their front wheel setup, but there is nowhere you can mount that speed sensor aside from the top of the silver fly wheel without it rubbing. There is no clearance. Learned this the hard way.
