I’ve noticed on past videos for sometime, what’s with the chains dangling under the rigs. A a retired firefighter I don’t recall chains on our rigs.

The chains are there for the rear wheels for traction in the snow

Also found sources that say fire and ambulance rigs have those chains for static discharge. They are meant to drag on the ground a bit to discharge electrical build up in things like oxygen bottles, fuel, and radios to keep the from combusting due to static electric charge. They ground the vehicle.

On spots. Flick a switch and it’s a temporary solution for snow etc. should there be way more snow in the 2+” category then full chains will be put on
