You have such a lovely melodic speaking voice Jane. I bet you love singing too. Very easy to listen to. Had to laugh when Phil got caught on the brambles 😂 sorry.

Thanks so much. You're very kind, but you really don't want to hear me sing!

Thanks a lot. It's an interesting feature here, even in modest towns, where there is a lot of civic pride and the place is beautifully kept. We really are very lucky in our choice.

Phil, why do you not run a hose from your buried hose at the corner where it runs past your kitchen, ie with a three way valve. You could build a view box leaving the valve exposed. That way you could currently turn the water off to the coil and divert it to the kitchen. When you need to feed the coil, you could have the tap open 3 ways, feeding the kitchen and the coil. Used 3 way taps often in my nursing career and they were very successful.

That's a great idea Jean, we thought about something similar and very nearly went down that route. In the end, the advice we had was that if we had it, to keep as long a run of pipe as possible until the final architects designs are set, and put temporary stuff on the end of that. The outdoor kitchen and utility facilities may change over time once the big plans get going. In another episode (soon) you'll see I am putting in branches using spare pipe, and isolation valves to serve the current needs whilst remaining as flexible as possible to serve the long-term layout.❤️🇵🇹🚰

It's certainly very well-kept, even though it might lack a little in historic charm, and has all the services we need

The sail awning keeps it remarkably dry, but it's just one of those things we're having to live with at the moment. We're making sure that everything we leave out there is well-sealed against the weather, and are planning to put a more robust cover over there before it gets wetter in the autumn. Obviously, once we get the main house rebuilt, we'll have a proper indoor kitchen, but we have rather enjoyed adapting to a more outdoor lifestyle, and looking at the view while we cook
