I have no idea what the writer means by this1 Beauvais Cathedral has, in fact, the TALLEST vault of any Gothic structure (not the second tallest). But we are talking about INTERNAL space here. Externally, there are many churches with taller towers and spires, so it isn't the "second tallest",either internally or externally.
Apparently the CC on youtube videos on Gothic cathedrals is particularly bad. I was watching such a video in an art history class. The teacher quit using the CC when the word "striptease" appeared in the captions.
