1:55 I always find it unusual to see commuter trains travelling through such green landscapes with no tall buildings in sight! Metyro North has quite a diverse system! The red multiple units that are powered by catenary almosty look like they belong to another system!
MrBnsftrain it used to be, the lines are so diverse because they were all basically created and owned by different companies and came together into metro north
Nice shot of the New Haven P32AC, reminds me when FL9s still ran out Grand Central in the early 2000s. And I know you went to CT to catch those M8 EMU shots.
I did the trip a few days ago. It was crazy with a 45 minute late ne regional making me go up to Boston in MBTA instead of Wickford Junction. I also got an arrow III Njt in the morning
Some of these Metro North trains are in New Jersey. There are Metro North lines New Jersey transit owns that run from Hoboken, New Jersey to Spring Valley and Port Jervis, New York......
Hello coasterfan2105 there is some bad news with my channel I will no longer be posting on this account because I'm quitting UA-cam but don't worry I have another account called Railstream trains/ virtual railfan and you may of heard of him And it's been a great run so see you down the line coasterfan2105!
@@CoasterFan2105 - And there is only one of those in the Metro-North paint scheme! #4906 is one of my favorites, it's the only GP40PH-2M that Metro-North has!
Also have you ever been to the royal gorge in colorado. They have a train that runs excursions through the gorge and I would love to see a video about that!!
...And By The Way, Congratulations and Enjoy Your Summer Vacation Celebration, +CoasterFan2105, My Awesome-Splendid Railway Best UA-cam-Friend Forever! :-D
This video was originally supposed to come out last year which is why it says 2017. I had to delay it quite a bit because I had a bunch of other videos that I wanted to put out first.
Hi Mike / I am watching with my 2 grandchildren / ages 4 & 3 They love your videos / Gary from Michigan 🚂

MrBnsftrain they also run by third rail or electric but no cantnary
Yeeeeeeeeeees brought back that beast Metra outro.

The horn in the beginning was killer! Nice video. What is your favorite Metro north locomotive? Mine is the P32AC-DM's.
I really like the ACDMs and the GP40s. Thanks!
I like the meet at the beginning when the metro north trains meet
Frank Oranusi I did too I thought that was cute

Wow! They sure go flying there!
Interessante Nahverkehrsgesellschaften und Züge
Very nice!
Thumbs up from Tokyo Japan :-)
Nice video I recently went down there!
Not bad catches.
Great views and angles.
Great video like always
There’s a train that goes from Vancouver BC to all over Canada. You should try getting some footage of those.
VIA Rail's Canadian! I've wanted to see that one for a long time!
You r the best
GreT
Ok that gret
Great video! There was some odd sounding horns in the video!
Some of the horns are very restricted. Thanks!

Hi Mike, Tomorrow is my birthday!! I am gonna be railfanning in Oceanside that day.
Happy belated birthday! Hope you had a good time!
Nice video!
Nice Video Mike
Love your video!😊
I like trains
This was a great compilation. Lots of action and very entertaining. Thumbs up to you!
Nice video! 👍
Nice video
Awsome vid
Why does NJT use the old Metro North locomotives for there service and not Metro North themselves
It's the other way around. Metro North West of Hudson services run with NJT equipment.
Oh ok thanks
I live in the NJ!😀
nice!
Wait, GP40FHs are still in service?!?
Not sure, this was filmed about a year ago.
TransportNY - As of January 2020, yes they are. Not sure about the F40PH-3C.
dat double cam action tho...
Why didn't you film the Harlem line?
that is a huge horn shows
0:45 beau klaxon et beau croisement
cool ...
Coaster fan you know an Amtrak train you never mentioned in a video is Amtrak city of New Orleans
That will hopefully change soon. I caught it a few times on my last trip!
I Super Agree with the 999,999 UA-cam-Likers, Those American Commuter Trains are sooooooooo Super Cool To The Max!!!!!!!! :-D
I actually live across the University Heights station of the Metro North
COOOOOOOOL!!!
luv
Awesome video!
What engine is used in the first clip?
That is a GP40PH-2.
@@CoasterFan2105 - And there is only one of those in the Metro-North paint scheme! #4906 is one of my favorites, it's the only GP40PH-2M that Metro-North has!
Nice trains, are these recent dates?
I don’t think so there was a video a while ago with some of these in it
^
I was wondering, it seemed like I saw some of these before, still is nice stuff though
Mr. Coasterfan2105 is very busy getting new videos for all of us and probably has lots of new footage ready for us soon in the coming months :)
Awesome
Nice catches
0:40 - Where is this? Is it Allendale?
Can't be Allendale because Allendale has no crossings. My guess is that it's Ramsey because of how fast express trains usually pass through there.
Quite beautiful
Good video. I cant wait for the CSX trains!!!! Could you do a video of trains in the new river gorge? Its really pretty down there
I'm hoping to go back out there next year!
Also have you ever been to the royal gorge in colorado. They have a train that runs excursions through the gorge and I would love to see a video about that!!
Should be titled Metro North AND New Jersey Transit ....most of these trains are NJT
Conor McEvoy they share it's west of hudson
I wouldn't say most. Some of the trains have NJT equipment because the Port Jervis line is operated as a joint effort by NJT and NY MTA.
I’m used to using the east side
4906 has a killer K5LA!
Definitely!
Hey!!! 1:18 is loco 4912! That one is in one of my vids! What are the odds!?
@4:15 is that near the Tappan Zee bridge
boundbrookrailfanner hi

One question, why was there MTA and NJTransit at the beginning?
The Guy You Know they share the track way in West New York Jersey
The line to Port Jervis is jointly operated by Metro North and NJT, so you seen trains and consists mixed frequently between the two on that line.
Here’s the video: ua-cam.com/video/VlKJHH0snjs/v-deo.html
The copyright thing at the end of the video says 2017. I think you should fix that for your next video
This video was originally supposed to come out last year which is why it says 2017. I had to delay it quite a bit because I had a bunch of other videos that I wanted to put out first.
I didn’t know that metro north had comet coaches I thought they were only shoreliners
There both the same thing
@@SouthJerseyRailProductions haha yes I know that now. I was an ametur back then and thought they were different things
