If you argue this then I feel bad for where you live that you don’t think you deserve it. Thank you my beautiful sisters. As a white male marine vet who did 2 tours in the Middle East it does my heart well to see people of all nationalities appreciate this video. You are right nothing is free, the price was paid and keeps being paid. It was and still is a price I’m willing to pay for my country. It really pisses of people like me when people kneel during the anthem or worse burn the flag….That price was paid and is still being paid…. I was fortunate many of my brothers didn’t make it home, if they did, they didn’t last long….they either overdosed or committed suicide…for years it took me a long time to live with these things…why me? Why not them? Then one morning I woke up and realized those questions don’t solve any problems or help me as a person it only makes it worse. I realized how can I help myself, my family and my countrymen. I found a new purpose.

I'm moved to tears as I witness your reactions. I am a 52 year old former United States Marine. I wont speak to what the flag means to anyone but myself and many of my family who served in the US military. The Flag, Our Flag, My Flag, never touches the ground. I stand for the Anthem. Both the Flag and the Anthem are treated with the utmost respect in my home. Not because I served in the military and not because I was taught to do so. I do it because so many men and women have died for what I believe that flag represents. Those people throughout history, gave their very lives and still are, so that I and my family can have a better life. I was, and still am willing to give my life alongside theirs so that my children and grandchildren, as well as the grandchildren of all Americans can have a chance at that better life. That Flag, to me, is a symbol of that spirit. I thank you for your heartfelt reaction to our National Anthem and reminding me what it means to me.

Several times I watched the Story of the American Anthem. It blew me away. I will never again just utter the words. I will respect what our Patriot father have done for us to live in Freedom. They held the Flag up till they died. Others took their place knowing they will die too. Such Heroes gave their lives for us. They rather died on their feet then knelled down to live under the British ruler ship. I respect every soldier who will die for our freedom. I respect and honor the American Flag. I also will die fighting for these country. America the land of the heroes. Never forget what these Patriot done for us. Anyone that kneels down and don't respect our Anthem and Flag, leave these country. You don't belong here. I forever will respect our heroes, past and present. Sean Dobson,
I am just a young American, but I agree with you 1000 percent. This is one of the greatest nations, but there are a lot of people, especially those of my generation and younger that don't respect what we have and have forgotten what it has taken to have this great nation of ours. When I was 17 I looked into what it would take to join the military because my grandfathers and great-grandfathers did, so I wanted to, but because of health issues that I am still dealing with then it didn't work out, if I didn't have these health problems then I would most likely have joined as soon as I could have.
So this is just me, but I am very politically motivated and will get into the whole thing about politics and the like if able. There are a lot of things that I believe are not right, but that's not the whole of our country just the few little things.
But this my country and if I had to I would gladly give my life for what I believe in.

That, right there is wrong. Where I'm from and what I was taught growing up was that no matter the color of skin people have we are all the children of the man upstairs. I have friends and know people who are colored, I also have family that is fully Native American, and also I am not fully white either, as I have Navajo in me. My 4 greats grandma was full-blooded Navajo, also 1 of my great-uncles married a full blood Native. So don't go telling me that I don't consider African Americans as people. I may not go out and just only associate with black people. But they are human just as we are.

I enjoyed your reactions to this story of our National anthem, I was touched by your tears! I cry every time I watch this and I've watched it many times to see other people react to it! My aunt wanted my mother to name me Starr Lynn, but she refused and named me Debra Kay instead, when my Aunt died real young, I was seven years old when she died, my mother felt bad that she didn't name me as her sister had wanted her to! You are right when you say freedom is not free!

THIS is why so many of my fellow Americans get so angry when they feel someone has disrespected our flag. It's not "just a piece of cloth". It's a symbol of our foundational and fundamental principles of freedom, equality, and the beliefs of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness as inalienable rights, and a symbol of all of the brave men and women who have fought for this country.

Sure it may not been perfect which no country is, inerways we may have alot of stupidness going on in America today, but I believe america will find its right path what it once knew or even greater than before, just ganna take time and patience. Cuz apparently including some of my research "countries become losing their path in every so many years, than people have to learn to reunite each other and be with each other once again". But there again that's lots of it why they are trying to erase our history. Inerways again thanks for sharing❤.
