I already decided to close mine in September and I'm going to move my Rainy Day Saver savings into my new Trading 212 cash ISA. I'll probably also do a bank switch on my Barclays current account now too.
I could understand Apple TV for some but personally it would of been more tempting if it was like NowTV/Netflix/Prime as an example since Lloyds has Disney but WHO do you know is gonna at look at this and say “Oh yeah, Barclays is doing MLS, I'm signing up!” like who out there is watching MLS 😂😂💀
Thanks for this - I had no idea Apple TV was included! I was randomly upgraded to Premier about 10 years ago (I've never come close to the salary requirements) so I'll enable this now. Cheers!
It's one of the few banks still offering to stamp bank statements and they've got machines to do that in branch too! Sadly the benefits (or rather costs) are too poor now.
Had my Barclays current account since I was 18 now nearly 50. And a blue rewards for a couple of years but time to change. Going for the Lloyds club account for the £175 reward.
@@lambypie100no this is true, don't close your Barclays account whatever you do because it shows stability that you've been at a bank for 30+ years, create a dummy account or an additional Barclays account to switch with when you go to Lloyds, keep your credit score with a very very small ding that only lasts for a few months than losing your credit history
Thanks for the video. What percentage do you think will be the best fixed term interest rates offered for 12-18 months around October-November this year?
Yeh, I'm gonna close down my Blue Rewards account. I only opened it for the Rainy Day Saver...
Same here, just need to find somewhere to switch to now
Closed mine already, after weighing it up I’d rather have £5 per month than MLS season pass & Apple TV. Although I was nearly persuaded otherwise. 😂

Cancelling my blue rewards in August and sticking savings into chase 5.1% moving forwards. Shame as I’ve been with Barclays for years
It's a tiny bit less but Plum are paying 4.97% and the interest is paid to you daily.
@@alexanderjamesninnim reviews of plum aren’t great from what I’ve seen though
really stupid from Barclays will be cancelling as well! MLS it seems

But do you need stamped bank statements these days?
"They've got machines to do that in branch"
Good luck finding a branch...
From Sep, the £5 fee a month is for non Premiere customers. Premier customers will get it for free.
Are there any costs associated if one can upgrade to premier?
@@sumanchatterjee2109 No costs as such. You need to be earning £75k or have £100k invested or saved with them
@@sumanchatterjee2109 Not directly, but you need to make £75k a year or have £100k in savings with them
Just closing mine barclays blue and put my money across to chase
I don’t like this move to only in the app you can do certain things
Yes ill be shutting down my blue rewards and moving my savings shame on you Barclays
So in short, barclays loyalty beneifts are non existant. See ya barclays blue reward and premier customer rewards!
Barclays Blue Rewards is a total joke now.

Dont close the barclays down since you have had your account for over 25 yrs your credit score will go down massively
@@sahinkeles8223 I'm not sure this is true.

Barclays Big Brother policy caused me to take my money elsewhere. They have not improved since.

Switched to santander on the last day of the offer!
Was waiting for this video, thank you!
