Finally a simple to follow and use process.
Please make it possible to adjust the layer transparency so we can have a light outline of the image/PDF while we trace it.
I would be happy to send this over as a feature request! 🤩
That would be awesome! @@ChiefArchitect
Easy to do with a simple import and export in Photoshop if you have the Adobe suite
@@rabbittdesign8482 Good advice, but not everyone likes to pay the price for Adobe's products. For those who want to use a free alternative I could recommend Krita or Inkscape. Personally I use any of Affinity's programs (Photo, Designer or Publisher)
I would prefer to do it within Chief, since there are layers already, adding transparency would be a game-changer!

Can you explain how to adjust (rotate) the plan if it doesn't import exactly straight so that the dimension tool works properly?
Could either do this in an outside program, or use convertido.co to convert it to a dxf cad based file, or you could use trigonometry to configure your resize based on the offset angle, orrrr, if you have a high enough resolution monitor, rotate your plan, screenshot, paste, then resize
Make sure the angles are correct by checking it in graphics software before importing.
