But they didn’t do the searching of Seth/PDQ for some 6 weeks! There would be no evidence left for the search warrant to find at that point. Plus, they were only looking for live rounds. If he had that type of live round in his shop, he would’ve already taken them home, or put them in his car or someplace for a search warrant wouldn’t go! I wish you would’ve said that!

Exactly. He also admitted that he had reloaded Starlight brass rounds as well as Starlight brass dummies in his shop. Where were they? They never asked the tech if they searched the boxes of dummies to verify that there were no live rounds in them.
They also didn't search his other shop. Does he have other properties in the area that evidence might have been moved to? What about his residence?

    • @Seldarius

And what would that have proved? That he sent live rounds to the set? Doesn’t change that Hannah didn’t check the rounds before loading them into a gun. Don’t get me wrong, he is shady af, but it doesn’t exonerate her, at all. Unless he threw on an invisibility cloak and stalked past Halls in the church to sneakily exchange a dummy against a live round before the gun was handed to Baldwin, Kenney is irrelevant to this case.

    Regarding Seth Kenney:
He stated that he brought ammo to the 1883 training. Thell Reed ALSO brought ammo, some of which were reloaded rounds.
Seth then stated he brought all of the ammo back to his shop. He admits he has reloaded starlight brass rounds as well as starlight brass dummies in his shop.
The gun powder being different in the 45 rounds they tested from his shop vs the live rounds on Rust makes perfect sense if they came from the 1883 training session. The rounds were from two different sources: Seth vs Thell's reloads, so of course they would be different. It doesn't mean the live rounds didn't come from his shop, tho.

Private Investigator and OSHA Investigators did nothing for Hannah’s case.
It comes down to the armorer being the person who is supposed to catch something like this from happening. That’s why you rattle the rounds and look for the holes. She loaded the weapon with a live round. On top of that she potentially was the person who brought live rounds to set! Either way she was negligent in doing the job she was supposed to. She recognized she needed more armorer days and that there could be deadly consequences if something goes wrong. At that point she should have walked away or demanded more time.
The cart rack and her Fanny pack were a mess. Her being guilty doesn’t mean others aren’t culpable as well.

@@dwguitar4793 Your ignorance is no excuse for the law? Or your ignorance of the law is no excuse? I’m not sure what you mean. Either way it’s my opinion that she is guilty of involuntary manslaughter. These are from New Mexico legal websites and the actual statute. I think she was criminally negligent based on the evidence presented.
“Involuntary manslaughter is the unintentional killing of a person while committing a misdemeanor criminal offense. Involuntary manslaughter can also occur if a person is engaging in a lawful act but unintentionally kills someone by being negligent or not exercising due care.”
Involuntary manslaughter consists of manslaughter committed in the commission of an unlawful act not amounting to felony, or in the commission of a lawful act [which] that might produce death in an unlawful manner or without due caution and circumspection.”
“Criminal negligence is conduct that is reckless, wanton, or willful-another phrase that requires explanation. You are criminally negligent if you ignore or disregard obvious risks of harm to the life or safety of others. If your criminal negligence kills someone, you can be charged with involuntary manslaughter.
You need not have anticipated killing someone. It is enough that your behavior showed sufficient disregard for the safety of others.”

  • @JillA5291

Why would the defense decide it’s a good idea to bring weapons into the courtroom in this trial specifically? With the circumstances. That was an incorrect choice. If their defense has anything to do with the gun accidentally misfiring, why would they risk a “sister” gun coming into the courtroom that could potentially misfire? The jury is probably freaking out.

I heard, and I think I’ve said this before, that the reason why he does better on some crisis than others is because the attorney that quit last minute had been the one that was going to cross, examine that witness, and didn’t turn over any of his notes. So they had days to prepare for that while being in court all day. That makes sense to me.

I have to say, just because there were no boxes the same at PDQ, doesn’t mean the box didn’t come from there. There were so many different boxes in the mess and he got them from that same supplier. It’s absolutely possible he had one of those boxes and that one box was sent to the set. I disagree that the Seth Kenny moment on cross was a mic drop. He had already said the delayed search warrant was a big issue, he answered as well that just because evidence wasn’t found didn’t mean someone (SK) was no longer a suspect. So with that one question, saying there was no where else to go with SK, imo, has the connotation that they waited too late to search PDQ and therefore further investigation was moot but that also didn’t mean he was truly cleared of having been the source of the live ammo.
