  • Here's exactly what I do to squat low when you're tall (I'm 6 foot 8 for reference). I hope this can help you out if you're taller, have long legs, and/or struggle to get low in your squats.

    atg 'seated good morning' is the main exercise for this. Heel-on-floor squat requires good flexibility in the ability to hold a straight torso and have it get really close to the thighs. Most people don't have this flexibility, and raising the heels is need to 'increase' the angle between thighs and torso.

    I've tried for years to get some ankle flexibility and i still can't get my toes past my knee on my left leg. Bad times.

    Should the bar be travelling in a vertical position over mid foot? Doesn't seem like it does. Not sure. Thanks
