Great video, cleared loads of points. As with all things the benefits are worth getting the technique correct.
Something that helped me was to refresh with this video at the lake as I had forgotten some things from the time of watching to actual using it.
Retrieve can be mastered by a little concentration on the airbomb as I reel in, keeping it skipping across swing it in, fill, close, clip up & smooth cast.
Until catapults can spread bait at 60-120yds I'll always take airbomb with me!
    :)

How strong should the main line be to use the air bomb?

Do the casts have to be that many wraps? I’ve got a spot I want to get some particles on, but just out of catapult range, like maybe 5 wraps, (ground bait is also not allowed on water so no hoofing out big balls)
Also thinking I could maybe use a bait caster and heavily break with my thumb over desired area (that work?)

Hi Geoff, this can realistically be used at any range you can cast it.

It sinks, it sinks so much. So hard on your gear when you retrive it.

Mine dragged deeper and deeper into the water on the retrieve most casts, it isn’t buoyant enough to reel back in across the water at all?! Rubbish.

The Airbomb is buoyant and shouldn't sink in the event of a crack off leading to fish becoming tethered in the line. However, as with other baiting devices, the fins can occassionally cause the Airbomb to drag under. If you start winding it back across the surface straight away this won't happen and it will skip in with ease as stated on the video (4:20). There is no need to wait for the device to empty as it does so above the water.

Sorry but I disagree, I have no such issue with any other baiting device, you are correct if your able to close the bail arm almost before it hits the surface and drag it back like a lunatic smashing the water up you do sometimes get it back without the underwater dragging but most of the time it’s not possible and under it goes, this was always a good idea and had it floated avoiding the mentioned issue would have benefits over others but it doesn’t and is therefore fundamentally flawed. Sorry.

Great video..but it's the worst and most In accurate baiting tool ever..its only any good for feeding tight to far margin( under 80yds) snags etc... time consuming loading..and pointless at proper range

thanks for the feedback on the video. Regarding the AirBomb, its never going to be as accurate as a spomb - its designed to spread bait around in scenarios where you couldnt do this with a catapult or throwing stick, or like you mentioned baiting tight to overhangs and snags. It is a little more time consuming to load, but once you get the technique down, it becomes A LOT easier! I personally found it perfectly fine for use at ranges over 100yds - have you used the Midi version? This is a lot easier to use for long range spread baiting
