Recorded in NY on March 13 1931
For 1920's - 1930's music ALL THE TIME - check your internet for Loud City - Radio Dismuke
- they play 24 hrs. a day & even do the commercials. FANTASTIC STUFF !!!!
such a gorgeous melody.
I like this tune - the perfect foxtrot for a society party on a summer evening.
1920-1950 was a great era in music.
Yes: it truly was the Golden Era of Pop Music bar none
Great old tune. Nice slide show. I put this one in my 'favorites'.
BEAUTIFUL orchestration and arrangement - pleasure to listen to - those were the days !
Nice version of "Out Of Nowhere",Doc.
Wow, so relaxing and well made piece! I love this sort of music.
thanks again
The title says it all - and still true today, really............
A great standard still occasionally revived by jazz performers.
the pictures and music go to together nicely, i really like it
dreamy and relaxing...!
thanks wonderfull
Thanks again.
great song, great version!
Greetings!
here here!
written by Johnny Green
Thanks: MY Brain enjoyed this.
I LOVE IT
jeszcze jedna perla!
You came to me out of Bydgoszcz! Wonderful collage of cities--or are they all of Old Warsaw? Yet 1:10 looks like the Brooklyn Bridge.. Best of all, 1:30 or so; truly Hopper-esque.
@fromthesidelines That 1934 Fleischer Popeye cartoon was my first introduction
to this classic piece of music.
I'm pretty sure it's Django Reinhardt's version of Out of Nowere - Paris, 28.04.1937 in Manhattan Murder Mystery soundtrack, not this one.
I love this song. Why does the singer have a funny accent--"you took my haart and found it free" what is that?
perfect music for a bit of Fallout :)
The singer sounds rather like Jack Buchanan - a little clipped and British. The song 'Out of nowhere' was written by Johnny Green, who wrote a number of song for a show Buchanan was appearing in, so there's a strong likelihoood that the vocalist is Mr Buchanan.
Out of Nowhere solo piano available by clicking above Video Response link.
Unquestioned
:)
@cha5 Mine too. A very funny cartoon.
Again: Thanks.
The first one had a better soundtrack. But our war is less threatening to MY life.... yay 2009~
Certainly not Jack Buchanan, not sure who it is though
I know the singer isn't Bing, but the guy tries to imitate his Irish cry when he has a long note
ayo any gen z out here
why do these songs always remind me of Popeye cartoons?
The music but you evidently have no ear for classics..
bra
:)
