I’d love to see a Chemist Confessions euro trip, hitting up all the pharmacies

31:30 what would be super helpful for me in the future is a segment dedicated to water resistant sunscreens that use all new-gen filters! Those are my most-used sunscreens and they’re kind of like unicorns. My current favorite is the P20 Urban Environment SPF50+ because it has such high uva protection and water resistance for swimming

So happy I tried the La Roche-Posay Anthelios Melt-In Milk Sunscreen SPF 100. Nothing I’ve tried has been superior to it in regular use, moisture, protection, and quick application. Protects in the rain and intense heat. You will have a shiny face, but that’s the glass skin look. I’ve bought it at least six times in the last two years. If all sunscreens performed like that product, then most people wouldn’t automatically loathe using sunscreen!

Would be interested in Neutrogena sunscreen test! It’s the only brand that seems to have something consistently to offer to compete with Asian sunscreens.
I actually also like coppertone and think some of their formulas are comparable to neutrogena ultra sheer dry touch.
By the way I believe coppertone is owned by same company as Nivea and I wonder what comparisons there could be to Japanese Nivea sunscreens.
Actually the whole category of Europe vs their Asian counterparts is a good one I don’t see much on. I particularly liked when you tried to segment the episode to talk about the two Biore sunscreen. Here is where I’d definitely appreciate having the application video shorts in one video, in head to head comparisons. I also do recommend putting chapters into the episode for segments such as this which is very sought after by the Asian skincare community.
On that note since the application shorts are separate this time, I think it would be helpful to have a playlist of only sunscreen application videos so I can see them all at once, and possibly linking to that playlist from the description of this video. I believe that could help direct traffic and views especially later down the line.
Another category I’d be interested in is specifically Australian origin (not Australian gold which is US origin) sunscreens as they typically are said to take their sunscreen seriously and mentioned in the same breath as Asian sunscreens in terms of better sunscreen filters.

Great roundup!! I’ll also recommend the Dr. Ceuracle Cica Regen Waterproof Sun and the Abib Sedum and heartleaf sunscreens as my holy grails at the moment!

How is it possible the Be Plain Sunmuse SPF50 gets an UVAPF 65.9 and SPF105, which is crazy high, while it has the exact same base as BOJS and Skin1004? I think its very unlikely they use very different filter percentages looking at the ingredients, and considering all korean sunscreens with that filter combo use the same filter concentration, only 8.6%, which is already surprisingly low for the SPF52-55 the others claim. To me it feels there's a mistake somewhere. Skintique failed in a recent test btw, it only offered an SPF10 in stead of SPF50+.

Hey I'm also curious, what do you do with all the sunscreen you test? Because if you keep them or share them with friends seeing how you can tell it's expired through different formulas would be great 👍🏻 like if you don't finish it after the suggested time

Okay, but when you go to Europe and buy sunscreen just be careful the airline doesn't lose your luggage containing all your sunscreen (as happened to another channel creator).

It'll be interesting to hear from a cosmetic chemist. Some derms say yes, because it's more important you use a sunscreen you like and some derms say mineral.
