  • A quick review of the Okuma Serrano, a fantastic little reel that I put through it's paces in a quick session on the float tube!

      Hi james, the gopro mount attachment is from Railblaza.
      The hard body pulse tails are available from September 1st I believe 👍

    Looks a nice wee reel mate, what's the price of that rod to go along with it and what length is it

    These are £40 now online, I am fishing exclusively here for pike here around london, considering moving onto a baitcaster after all the american videos I watch....

      @@castnorthangling5964 having fly fished and used a standard spool reel, is it that complicated if you do your homework? Also birdsnesting, it is a legitimate issue?

    • @castnorthangling5964
      @castnorthangling5964  2 роки тому

      Short answer.... Yes, I would suggest to use mono as it doesn't bird nest as much.
      Its important to watch the videos on UA-cam, keeping the brakes tight etc

      @@castnorthangling5964 Would you say fishing for pike and perch using hard lures, this reel offers an advantage of traditional spool?

      No none, in fact I prefer a spinning set up...

    • @castnorthangling5964
      @castnorthangling5964  2 роки тому

      It's the 5-20g medium game

      What do you think is the best 100$ reel for lighter, 5g (3/16 oz) lures?

    your reel is too tight. you need to tighten spool until it is just clicking a bit side to side. then adjust brake as you change lures. you should never have to touch the spool tension after that. use your thumb to slow spool as needed.
