Love my Ohlins HD779 as well, I see u changed out the License Plate Frame, bike looks good, thks for sharing and I'm chgn my front forks out with Ohlins this winter after riding season!
Cool Video! I'm considering the same upgrade, but I'll probably wait til spring. I haven't been able to put the miles on I'd like due to so much work on the house . Painting the farmers porch and back deck. I was actually going to wait and buy the bike next year, but after I rode one during bike week, that idea ended pretty quickly! We'll see, maybe I'll be able to get the rears on before the snow flies! Enjoy Buddy!
I just ordered those from getlowered for 10 percent off on Black Friday ! Thank you for the video I will be watching again in May when it’s time to ride again in Wisconsin
I enjoyed the Vid. Thanks!!! I spent $900 on recognizable name brand rear shocks last month. They did nothing, so I returned them. Clearly "night & day difference" means very little. I'm still down the shocks rabbit hole, however, I'm not buying anything without test rides 1st. Hopefully I can test several at Sturgis 2025. Almost no manufacturers offer a satisfaction guarantee. So I'm stuck until I can get 1st hand experience. Most likely options now are Ohlins and Wilbers.
The rear shocks on these new bikes are greatly improved over previous generations, so the ride quality difference is less massive than it used to be when upgrading the rear shocks, but it was still very noticeable for me. Where you’ll really feel you’re riding a completely different motorcycle is when you pair it with front suspension.
Great video , I have a 2024 CVO ST and i dialed my suspension perfectly it's amazing how it handles. When the suspension and the power works together it's a game changer.
Hey Jesse... I just found your vlogs and I have to tell you... I'm really impressed with your knowledge and videos!!! Because of you... I'm thinking about trading my Breakout for a 2024 Road Glide! I'm enjoying watching you make improvements to your Road Glide! You're very intelligent and talented when it comes to many things! Thumbs up and subscribed! John...
Great videos. I am about to purchase a 2024 road glide. I am actually leaning towards the CVO ST. Because I love the mods you have done and the CVO comes with most of them stock. I live to modify my stuff but as I get older I have less time. Keep up the great kids.
Great vid, on the same route to upgrade the rear and looking at full inverted front since HD will not sell a CVO set up unless you buy a CVO. As a road racing fan, I’m fully aware putting Ohlins on my overweight bagger is not going to make it or me faster.
I have 5500 miles done on my RG24 on a complete kit from Ohlins. I put in a HD044 kit and front cartridge as it is the same as the previous RG. I lifted the rear as much as I could on the adjustment so it was even more agile and it's unearthly! A couple of days ago I had a fully factory RG24 at my disposal and was doing a comparison - it's like riding two different motorbikes 😉 . I've had Legends and RWD on previous bikes, but in my opinion only Ohlins give the perfect balance between precision and comfort.
@@WhiteRG24 that’s awesome, I’m super excited to do the cartridges in the front. I considered doing the 2” taller ones, but realistically I will probably do a 21” front wheel, so that will give me extra height!
@@OffWeekGarage In my case, the front tyre is fully closed and I still don't draw anything on the twistis. I was thinking of going up too, but only after I'd started rubbing the underside. In the meantime I think it's quicker to run out of rubber/road contact surface 😉 .
I've rode every single shock company out there I like legends and use to only use them the most when working on bikes but since ohlins came in the scene big I put them on my own bike and hands down it is the best shock I've ever ridden when you go to do the fronts I encourage you to call up big bear performance and check out their cartridges I've also did those in the front I did the 29mm and it's awesome all the adjustability you could want

Good question!! The black Ohlins are in partnership with Harley Davidson and come built for around a 170 lbs rider, they are not sprung for a specific weight.
Good vid. I run the Ohlins on the rear on my RG too and they are truly amazing. Not a huge fan of the lane splitting - especially in Washington where it is illegal, but more importantly, dangerous. You will settle down with age hopefully. You do a nice job on all your content though. For those interested in a set, get with Suspensions by Smarty out of the Dallas area. He is a certified Ohlins partner and will have your settings just about perfect when they arrive. I've had 3 sets from him and all three times when I checked the sag - it was dead on right out of the box.
I'm looking to buy a set just don't know what ones 170 pounds 140 pound passenger/ they are telling me 00280-21 spring but I don't know if it be too stiff solo. any info thanks.
It's insane that a company with $6 billion in sales cannot build a bike in which any backyard aftermarket entrepreneur can improve upon out of his shed. My Goldwing needs nothing except a drink holder, gas, and a rider, yet I'm still trying to make my Road King enjoyable to ride.
@@focus_driv3n440 not yet but I’m sure I will. This was the issue that caused my harness to be replaced under warranty on my electrical issues video. The bike DID die for me and it was not awesome
All that money then if you want it to be any good you have to replace parts with something thats made well. Should have bought an Indian. Their rear shock is fantastic and the bike is cheaper too.
You don't have to. It's a preference. Mine rides great after I set it up, and I don't currently see a need for it. Just like anything, you can eek out better performance, but that cost to performance improvement ratio isn't always worth it to everyone.
Weren't you just complaining, HUGELY about this bike and Harley-Davidsons etc. Crazy how people are on and off the bandwagon so fast. Love the content, just confused because a few vids ago you were dogging on the RG big time, thought you were gonna buy an Indian or something lol. Good stuff
During both of those videos I stated how much I love the bike. I have never dogged on my road glide or switched my stance up. No, it was almost 1800 dollars. I will always state at the beginning of a video and throughout the video if a company has worked with me in any way.
