Difatti è meglio chiamarlo saluto fascista perché questo è quel che è. My grandpa was 3 years old when US army landed in Sicily. He told me that one day he was wandering in tall grass (he didnt look for pokemon, he grow up in a very small town in Sicily) and suddenly he saw a tank which stopped in front of him. The soldiers in the tank pick him for a ride and he had so much fun and everytime he told this story his eyes was shining.The scene with the tank always reminds me this story, this is why I cry everytime I watch La vita è Bella, this and because is a fucking great and emotional movie. Un capolavoro, come hai detto tu. Certo, ci sono delle inesattezze storiche, ma chi cazzo se ne frega, aggiungo. Grazie per questo video

C’era anche un carro armato e un giorno i soldati tedeschi lo portarono a fare un giro.
All’altro mio nonno invece sempre i tedeschi regalavano sempre cioccolato e sigarette perché essendo biondo e con gli occhi azzurri ai loro occhi sembrava un bellissimo bambino tedesco.
Ovviamente sono storie divertenti da sapere non voglio far sembrare che i tedeschi fossero i buoni della situazione o che.

@@marcorobertorossetti2284 Anche la famiglia di mia nonna riceveva spesso regali da alcuni soldati tedeschi perché suo padre era barbiere e una parte del conto la pagavano in miele e cioccolato per i figli. Bisogna anche tenere conto che in quegli anni non è che si avesse tanta scelta, se abitavi in Germania/Italia e avevi una famiglia da mantenere e proteggere, non era così scontato potersi prendere il rischio ed il lusso di battersi per le proprie idee. E' facile dirlo oggi, ma se all'epoca ci fossimo stati noi, quanti avrebbero avuto davvero la forza di fare la Resistenza in modo esplicito? Richiede qualità che non tutti hanno, ma non per questo chi scelse la via del 'tacito assenso' era necessariamente una cattiva persona. In guerra nessuno è mai buono, pensa che sempre mio nonno raccontava che gli inglesi/americani di contro con i loro aerei buttavano giù dei giocattoli per attirare i bambini..quando i bambini li raccoglievano questi giocattoli poi si rivelavano delle bombe ed esplodevano, di fatto una violenza inutile con l’unico scopo di far esasperare la popolazione uccidendo i bambini.
Comunque si, non tutti i tedeschi necessariamente erano nazisti, molti di loro erano normali soldati che con onore combattevano per il loro paese e nonostante tutto credo di rispettarli(come non tutti i sovietici erano comunisti ecc).
Detto questo sempre dai miei nonni vengono anche altri racconti meno lusinghieri nei confronti di alcuni comportamenti dei tedeschi, ma come ho detto in guerra non esiste nessun buono.

Roberto Benigni won the Oscar for this film. It's considered, among all movies he has done, his masterpiece of all times. He made us live the Holocaust like we are his own kid.
Most of this movie was actually recorded in my hometown, and every single kid growing up there has watched it SO MANY TIMES. My city is quite small so whenever you’re walking around you can basically see places where some scenes were set, and they have small posters showing Benigni’s work.
All things considered, I should be able to watch a video of Bailey reacting to this movie without crying. Turns out I’m not, my eyes are already teary🥲

Hi Bailey, you have watched simply the best italian movie ever produced. in "La vita è bella" there's every human feeling you can ever feel in you entire life. Never in my life I was able to cry and laugh so much at the same time. Finally the title of the movie is so powerful in its simplicity. I'm happy you had the chance to watch it. It's one of those movies that make you a different and better person, once you finished to watch. And I'm very glad you also liked it! ;)

It's really surprising. I watched this movie a long long time ago. I knew what about the story is, and I watched the ending. However, I watched this ending scene and I couldn't help crying again. It's absolutely touching this scene. I wanna be honest, at the first time I thought it was a silly film, because Roberto was a little overacted for my taste, but I was wrong. He's a master and he gave us a masterpiece with "La Vita è Bella".
Many people also seem to miss that the ending is not just cute, it's also grim and satirical. The boombastic loud music as the weakened nearly-dead jews are being 'rescued' by folk that stay seated in their carts and drive around with flags waving is supposed to make fun of a stereotypical 'happy ending.'

@@kat-gd6ry No ha ragione, alla gente Benigni non piace granché per vari motivi legati alla sua idea politica e alcune sue scelte di carriera, poi la recitazione scarsa- con tutto il garbo possibile- della moglie e alcune inesattezze storiche che fanno pensare ad alcuni che Benigni faccia nepotismo e veneri gli Americani quando non sono stati gli unici a liberare l'Italia e di certo non per pura bontà.
Sono polemiche un po' sterili, soprattutto quest'ultima visto che Benigni ha fatto anche La tigre e la neve, che non molti ricordano, ma è molto simile a La vita è bella solo che essendo ambientata a Baghdad stavolta gli americani sono cattivi.
E' la seconda volta nell'arco di mesi che mi rivedo questo video e mi emoziono, negli stessi momenti assieme alla ragazza. Mi rende orgoglioso sapere e vedere che questo film è cosi apprezzato.

Mai pianto così tanto guardando un film. Ogni volta che lo rivedo mi emoziona e anche sta volta lo ha fatto. È un film unico, di una bellezza infinita che tratta una tematica pesantissima in maniera perfetta che non rende pesante il film. Per non parlare di Benigni che è un attore a dir poco fantastico. Il mio film italiano preferito senza alcun dubbio.

yes the film is set in Tuscany. Tuscany is generally considered as the original region of the Italian Language.
And they do speak 99,9% "standard Italian" but with a peculiar accent.
the C is sometimes aspirated "la hasa" instead of Casa.
they use the TH like in English. "parlatho"

all other regions in Italy use dialects, including Rome. Only though in Rome, the phonetics are 100% standard Italian.

It's a masterpiece but it's always heavy on the soul to watch.
My grandpa's uncle lived in the muntains, as all of my family. He once got told that he had to go to Brescia, where there was the train station. Little did he know that if he would have gone on that train, he would have died. luckily he got warned by a friend of his to escape and literally run to his small town, walking for months and probawbly more than 60 km because although it "only" is 40 km away he had to walk for other roads. He then had to hide on the top of the mountains in abbandoned huts. Only after like 2/3 months he could finally hug his family.

I think a good percentage of this movie was made by the beautiful soundtrack of Nicola Piovani, in particular the "abbiamo vinto" with the solitary beginning instrument really really touch you heart, IMHO.

Scusa, ma per quanto la resistenza abbia avuto un ruolo importante, essa si è organizzata solo dopo l'armistizio con gli americani. Non ci fosse stata la guerra e gli alleati l'Italia avrebbe fatto la fine della Spagna che ha avuto la dittatura fino agli anni settanta.
@@chiararuocco2811 non è esatto perchè in Italia l'antifascismo era presente e molto attivo già a partire dall'anni 20 ( biennio rosso) non pochi furono i scontri anche armati tra "i rossi" e le squadre fasciste, la lotta si smorzò con l'assassinio di Matteotti (1924) e con la seguente totalitarizzazione dello stato da parte di Mussolini da qui l'antifascismo divenuto illegale e punibile con il confino e/o con la morte diventa clandestino e manda avanti le sue operazioni in segretezza , non solo in italia ma in tutte le zone occupate dai nazifascisti ( vedi i volontari e il supporto ad esempio in Spagna ed in Francia o anche in Cecoslovacchia ) le varie organizzazioni avevano prima ancora dei sbarchi americani organizzato e messa appunto dei piani per liberare le città principali e l'italia dall'oppressione per mezzo delle cosi dette "giornate" (vedi ad esempio Napoli prima città d'europa libera dal nazifascismo prima ancora di ogni sbarco alleato grazie alle sue quattro giornate ) e con la guerriglia , con o senza l'arrivo degli alleati l'Italia sarebbe stata liberata certo gli alleati hanno aiutato e accellerato tantissimo il processo di risogimento e resistenza senza per cui la lotta sarebbe durata almeno un altro decennio (sempre se non fossero arrivati prima i Russi) il fascismo in Italia aveva le ore contate il cui filo era legato al suo dittatore.

Del resto c'erano anche in Spagna, non hai letto "per chi suona la campana"? La differenza tra Franco e Mussolini è stata che Franco si è fatto I cavoli suoi e nessuno lo ha toccato ed è morto di vecchiaia, come tanti altri dittatori che rompono le palle solo ai propri cittadini... Poi mi sembra che la prima cosa che ho scritto è che la resistenza ha avuto un ruolo, quindi la lezioncina di storia non è necessaria. @@chiararuocco2811 mi dispiace che l'ha recepita come "lezioncina" di storia sarà dovuto ad una forma mentis che porto dietro dalla mia professione ( che di storia si occupa) e risulto essere il professore di storia che annoia i suoi alunni. comunque mi perdoni se oso e se posiziono qualche puntino sulla i di nuovo, l'opposizione politica non è scontata come crede e non sempre vi è, inoltre con l'antifascimo sono cose molto ben distinte lo specificare da parte mia che già negli anni 20 ci fosse una volontà di opposizione si ma armata (antifascimo) e che è sopravvissuta in clandestinità ma comunque presente e ben sentita oltre che attiva( basti vedere gli svariati attentati a Mussolini e gerarchi oltre ai moltissimi sabotaggi) anche in pieno fascimo era per far capire che non era corretto il suo dire che si è organizzata "solo" nel 43 con l'armistizio avvenuto e con la presenza degli alleati perchè in italia una volontà ed una lotta attiva per liberarsi dal giuoco fascista c'era già fin dal principio e con ciò non ho cercato di aggiungere o togliere nulla al contributo alleato nella liberazione dal nazifascismo, per quanto riguarda la differenza tra Franco e Mussolini non si ferma solo alla politica di neutralità attuata dal primo ma tutto a una serie di fatti, equilibri di potere e situazioni ( che non sto ad elencare dato il discorso ampio e sconfinato le consiglio pero oltre per chi suona la campana di Hemingway che viene redatto nel 1940 ed ha una bellissima finestra sui quei fatti ma molto ristretta i grandi cimiteri sotto la luna di Bernanos,il Franchismo di De Febo e una memoria squilibrata di badaloni quest'ultimo basato sui bambini rubati e i dispersi causati da Franco) che hanno permesso il perdurare della dittatura Franchista anche se come gia detto per il caso italiano anche quest'ultimo era legato a doppio filo con il suo dittatore e quindi con le ore contate cosa molto comune in questi totalitarismi. Se mi permette poi una piccolissima critica costruttiva verso ciò che ha scritto Lei ( ma anche rivolta a me stesso visto che ho peccato anch'io sotto questo aspetto) attraverso un modo di dire accademico che usava molto il mio professore in Università ovvero che la storia non si fa con i "se" e con i "ma", ma con i fatti percui dire "Non ci fosse stata la guerra e gli alleati l'Italia avrebbe fatto la fine della Spagna che ha avuto la dittatura fino agli anni settanta" cosi come ho detto io che sarebbero potuti arrivare prima i russi o che la guerra sarebbe potuta durare 10 anni di più senza americani è sbagliato dato che sono illazioni supposizioni non documentate e quindi non storiche in questo caso è errato in abito accademico scientifico ma non si può neachè dar ne ragione ne torto dato che sarebbe potuto accadere di tutto anche se cosi si passa dalla storia alla ucronia, e con questo chiudo sperando di non averla annoiata con un eventuale ed ennesima "lezioncina".
