I was watching Melevisione and I remember that I was sooo angry, because they interrupted my favourite tv show 😠 (by the way, I'm from the south of Italy 😅)

The statue-guy on Art Attack may look scary at first, but he was so funny of a character that he made his way into everybody heart. There's also a pun going on this in his name: he would call himself "il capo", which means "the boss" but also "the head". He is indeed my favourite.

I also live in Turin and I went to see the studios of La Melevisione with school! It looks like there are many locations but they actually shoot everything in a very small room by just turning around. My Italian faves were definitely La Melevisione, Art Attack (I would take notes on paper) and also L’Albero Azzurro will be forever in my heart!

Another "fun fact" (not so fun) about Melevisione (maybe you know, maybe not): when we were young, there was this awkward rumour that the actor who played the main character was drug addicted and that he later died after he left the show. Obviously, that was only a rumour: he's fine and he wasn't addicted at all. He recently added some videos on UA-cam talking about his life, and in one of them he said that he doesn't know who spread the word, but it was probably someone from the Melevisione's crew. He also said that he's relieved that this thing happened when social media were not a thing yet, rumors like this would have been devastating for his career. He's now working as a writer of some children shows :) Ps: I was one of the kids who were watching Melevisione on 9/11 😔

There was an English version of Art Attack with Neil Buchanan as the host, and that was the original version. But I always preferred the Italian version with Giovanni Muciaccia as the host!

Art attack was great!! I used to watch it all the time as a kid (in the UK), didn’t even realise they did it in other countries til I saw this but my Italian boyfriend explained that apparently they had it in like 17 countries lol.

cmq, ricordo vagamente il documentario dei dinosauri ma non quello sugli animali però conosco la versione magic englisch della disney per imparare l'inglese con i filmati disney ovvio. poi la melevisione e art attack li conosciamo anche al sud, fortunatamente anche nelle isole della sicilia ;)
poi altri suggerimenti li avete già avuti, io ricordo DuckTales, esplorando il corpo umano, l'orso nella casa blu (di cui ormai ricorod solo la fine XD), l'albero azzurro e i teletubbies (inquietanti a ripensarci ^_^") XD
Ricordo che alle elementari ogni martedì stavo a scuola fino alle 16 e quando arrivavo a casa accendevo subito la TV per guardare la Melevisione e poi finito quello o guardavo "Alle falde del Kilimangiaro" o andavo a fare i compiti
Comunque il programma non era famoso solo al Nord, io sono del Centro/Sud eppure non me ne perdevo una puntata
Poi la domenica c'era Art Attack, È domenica papà
Altri programmi che ricordo erano Bear nella grande casa blu, le lezioni di inglese con Topolino, i Baby Looney Tunes, la casa di Topolino, Bob l'aggiustatutto, Pat il postino...
