very good. background and city look awesome and the missile is awesome too but I would have gone into more detail for the missile. still awesome though. :)
Good video, ho did you get the destructible city? Dosn't look like city generator but looks very good! Also the nuke, is that just particle systems or something way over my head?
A few parts like the flying above earth felt a bit weak but overall well executed. I'm curious as to what you did for the debris effect on the buildings?
@Maaarteh OK, but shock-wave is a lot of high pressure, thus it can not be illuminated. What can be at least partially illuminated is a lot of dust, and there is a lot of dust behind the shock-wave too. Also, artificial light sources are bound to go blank shortly after the explosion, due to generated EMP. What I am trying to say is that this is very, very good, but use lots of low illuminated particles instead and you get it closer to perfection...
Wow this was done in blender? Im on Ubuntu and saw it in Repositories and thought it would be rubbish, I might try and learn how to use it. Do you have any tutorials because you seem to have a good knowledge of it.
when I try to make any kind of animation, click the animation button brings the render window up, and it goes through each frame, but it takes about 30 seconds per frame and I cannot stop it. Is there a easier way to make a movie/animation that I can actually play, and how do I upload it to a movie player?
With some touch ups, and a longer(maybe camera film stop, with some static, or please stand by) video. But, making the nuke would need some Then like, it come back to see the city flat. :D but still, 5/5
ICBM's are released from their launch stages at their apogee, or the top of their arc. they don't stay mated to them. Get the nuke right. other than that, awesome
btw FaWeil no offence but bombs don't have engines. Thats a Intercontinental Ballistic Missile AKA ICBM. The stages separate in orbit if you can make a more accurate version. Your Resident Weapons Expert, Saul
Thats so damn Ubercool :) 100 Good points..but still 1 Bad point to add. As in many of your videos, there's no anti aliasing.. but.. i guess it's cause of redering speed issues^^
Very impressive Blender 3D animation!
Jesus how long did this take you. It freaking looks like it can but put in a movie. Gotta give you props man. :)
Mint - i love that I can look something up on UA-cam on a whim and someone has made it - great video :o)
Real genius work! Awesome! Congratulations FaWeil.
Awesomatic stuff man!
Really impressive!
dude that's pretty sick. I like that!
And this is EXACTLY what came to my mind when I discovered city generator.
The shockwave was super epic!!
Dude. That was EPIC
this is beautiful
Why does Blender predominantly and permanently used for destroying? I cannot believe it.
HOLY SHIT!! I use Cinema 4d, which is a professional software, and I would have had a hard time pulling that off! You did it in Blender! Well Done!
hey, this one's actually pretty good! I like it alot! 5*
great stuff.
That would make an awesome cut-scene for Warzone 2100!
Holy shit, man, that is awesome.
Very nice! :)
@lemi667 its true that the dust particles are illuminated. So its not moving to slow but it could have been rendered more like clouds
very good. background and city look awesome and the missile is awesome too but I would have gone into more detail for the missile. still awesome though. :)
Didn't know this was possible in blender!
You dont put trash online. I like your style. Seriously. 5/5 from me.
i had bring me to life by evascence playing in the background while was watching it and made it even more epic

Excellent! Maybe you could make a post-bomb one-scene render to put at the end (maybe with a few different angles)
Fantastic!!!
@Maaarteh Yes, I guess so. It just seamed like light after the explosion, you know - the big bright flash followed by devastation of the shock-wave.
Awesome, although I think you forgot the stage separation on the missile :)
you sir are a pro :D
OMG that was gooood how much time did it take to render?

This would be perfect for a film scene.
May i ask how you did the shockwave shatter effect on the buildings?
Nice!
need to learn this
Dear city, you just got knocked the fuck out
impressive

Thats so damn Ubercool :)

@tbow001 Same here... except i'm not the blender type of guy xD
i wish i could do this stuff but i have no clue lol
Not a MIRV warhead? I am disappointed :(.
WHAT THE FU-BOOM!!!
Light is too slow... It should move at a light speed...
