Nice video, awesome country out there. I googled Oulla Creek whilst reminiscing about how good the riding there was from a trip about 14yrs ago and came across this. Never ending fun in the hills
Great trip, impressive filming in tricky spots, extra cars and blokes helps with lots of camera angles :) thanks for sharing the trip, keen to try it out.
Quite surreal to see the Colarado at school drop off this morning and thinking 'hey - I know that car!'. Keep up the great work - I enjoy the videos and it definitely inspires me to get out more often.
Classic. I am sure the real thought was "Hey - I know that dirty, beat up looking car"! You have to get out and about the Canberra surrounds! Some awesome areas within 3 hours of home.
Hey guys - I have just come across your vids and am impressed. I am also from Canberra and covered a few of the local trails including some in your vids. I also have a LR and have been impressed how the D4 has coped in your adventures. I also like the how the Colorado and other vehicles have gone and how their various strengths and weaknesses show up in different situations. I also like your approach to 4wding and the bush - happy to give things a go but being realistic and knowing when to say -nah. Love the drone footage. Keep up the great work and I look forward to following your other trips.
Awesome feedback Joe, thanks for that. That LR is an incredible vehicle. Constantly amazes. The open front and LSD rear of the Colorado definitely forces me to drive it hard in some situations, and only once has it broken - see the Lithgow trip. It is a lot if fun exploring the Canberra surrounds.
@@OutdoorsCBR No, just went down for a look around and try out the fire trails. The camp ground was open and you can still walk down to the river - signage suggested fire recovery...bit disappointing after 125km drive from Gundaroo! Araluen Rd is also closed further east at Knowles Creek as a result of a landslip, but you may already have known about that.
Hey fellas, am doing Misty Mountain to Dry creek to Bendethera Campground this weekend via Merricumbene Firetrail, what do you rate it in difficulty outta 10? If ya looking for an extra let me know when ur doin any trips in the area, would luv ta tag along am based in Batemans Bay and am also workin my way through most of the tracks between here and the border! Am drivin a 2006 locked 100 series.
That is an awesome drive! Misty Mountain - 5, Dry Creek up on to Merricumbene 7-9 (depending on the condition of that bit in this vid), the rest of Merricumbene 6-7 (but awesome). Misty Mtn to Dry Creek is probs 2-4hrs depending on which roads you take. Dry Creek to Bendethera is probs 3-4hrs. Sounds good, would love to hear of any other cool tracks in the area. We did Downfall and Mogo, that was a heap of fun. Thinking of heading down to Wadbilliga at some stage to do Razorback and explore a bit.
Outdoors CBR Wadbilliga NP, also try Brassnocker Track.....pretty challenging!....did it in April! Also, think I spotted you three at Bendethera Campground couple of weekends back!😜
Awesome thanks for the tip, will definitely check that out if we get down there. Haven't been to Bendethera for a long time. We were at Dry Creek though.
Yeah I think part of Merricumbene FT is closed now. Haven't checked in a while. Oulla Creek could still be open. No I dont think anyone uses hill descent. In the Colorado I have turned the rear locker on going downhill to keep the car pointing straight. What about you?

@@OutdoorsCBR same deal on a patrol. Been looking at new 4WDs and always wondered why they push that kind of tech
@@PotatoesRnice maybe I should give it a crack one time see how it handles a steep wombat holey descent.
