Thank you so much for watching! Let me know if you have a specific approach to drawing hands, and if you do share any tips with us in the comments below! ❤
Im from the states and I wanted to say your videos are very helpful for what im working on right now. I am trying to make my own graphic novel and its helping me work on poses and action positions thank you again you are a true artist.
@@randrand681 Hey, wow that's so interesting to know, thanks for this comment. Really glad you find these videos helpful. I studied animation myself so I really can relate to how Gesture drawing can help you to create strong poses. So important for your work. I ended up being interested in figure drawing for more of a fine art approach, but it's definitely the foundation for any drawing involving figures or characters. I highly recommend checking out @DavidFinchartist work for some inspiration. www.youtube.com/@DavidFinchartist/videos
I’m from the States, and I know how to draw hand gestures in funniest cartoons and caricatures. By just exaggerating them with straights and curves.😊😊😊
Thank you, Siobhan, just what I needed. Hands are so difficult to draw. I will definitely try to begin with an overall gesture of the hand and then look for the negative space. So helpful.
I'm so glad to hear this!! I recommend also to draw your own hand as a simple exercise. I like to use blind contour drawing to do this, but you can apply gesture drawing as well. So yes, begin with an overall gesture (very light!) then identify the tips of each finger, find the negative shapes, and then start to work in the shadows. Let me know how you get on!
