We'll start this with: I'm not that bad at drawing hands. I thought this wouldn't be as good as it was hyped up on tumblr. It is. I didn't even do the grids. The IDEA of the grids and the explanations fucking boosted my hand drawing into orbit. I can do foreshortening now. If you want to learn how to draw hands. Try this. TRY IT. YOU WILL GET BETTER ALMOST IMMEDIATELY. BELIEVE ME WHEN I SAY THIS IS A GAMECHANGER.
I've divided each chapter into a different day and the progress I made is unbelievable. I'm truly shocked by the results. This video has single-handedly helped me clear my confusion about drawing hands. Thank you very much, Marco, for this incredible tutorial! 🙏💕
Killer combo of massive knowledge and great teaching with zero ego and meaningless showing off. There are very few artists on youtube like this. Salute.
@@AntMG6819I think they're just saying marc is also good. Although I think point for point, Marco might actually be the best. I really appreciate what you're doing here. The breakdown of what exercises to start with really helps visualize each future step. Thank you for all the work you put into these great videos and lessons!
you're a life saver, i struggled with drawing hands for ages but this feels like such a breakthrough, i watched and looked up so many tips for drawing hands but this one is by far the easiest to follow and really helped me a lot, thank you!
This video is absolutely amazing, it's almost like most other hand tutorials on youtube assume you're starting from an advanced position, I love how this one builds up from the simplest way to look at it, thank you.
I've been watching guys like yourself and Mark Behm and tons of others, for a while. Actually I remember getting a DS not for the games, well maybe some, but your blog on painting on one got me to get one, then the touch came out and now I'm using sketchbook which is a dream come true for portable painting. Just wanted to say hey and tell you that you are a true inspiration, you always seem really genuinely excited and eager to share and teach and cultivate knowledge. I read something the other day that went something like knowing that you don't know opens up a world of the ability to learn knew things. While I love that idea, it doesn't work without mentors, (whether directly or indirectly), like yourself and your fellow colleagues. We're standing on the shoulders of giants. Great stuff; can't wait to watch the video! All the best! Marc.
Thank you very much for part 2! I've been struggling with the hands presently and get to the channel to re-watch part 1 and there is the gift of fate (or better to say the gift of Marco?). Very useful tutorial, I've learned a lot and now have to practice :)
Wow! Amazing video. This might be the best instruction on hands that I have ever seen. Although, I admit that I haven't seen your other hands video. I will check that out as well. Thanks so much!
I’m having trouble drawing hands with foreshortening so this is great! Especially getting the gesture right and fluent. I feel like they look kinda woobly and weird. Your videos are helping a lot and I really enjoy watching them

My name is Yoshikage Kira. I’m 33 years old. My house is in the northeast section of Morioh, where all the villas are, and I am not married. I work as an employee for the Kame Yu department stores, and I get home every day by 8 PM at the latest. I don’t smoke, but I occasionally drink. I’m in bed by 11 PM, and make sure I get eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After having a glass of warm milk and doing about twenty minutes of stretches before going to bed, I usually have no problems sleeping until morning. Just like a baby, I wake up without any fatigue or stress in the morning. I was told there were no issues at my last check-up. I’m trying to explain that I’m a person who wishes to live a very quiet life. I take care not to trouble myself with any enemies, like winning and losing, that would cause me to lose sleep at night. That is how I deal with society, and I know that is what brings me happiness. Although, if I were to fight I wouldn’t lose to anyone.

My favourite takeaway was the three bends on the inside and the half-finger on the back. That just clicked a lot of things into place for me, thanks!
