John Beaudin has been in major market radio (Edmonton, Vancouver & Calgary) for 38 years and a music journalist since 1989. He graduated from Broadcasting school as a newsman so he would have the skills to write about the artists that inspired him since he bought his first Elton John album as a teen. In the '80s Beaudin was the host of the syndicated radio show ‚”The Cross Canada Report‚” which had two versions (Rock and A/C). Beaudin was also asked to be a judge at the Juno Awards (Canada's answer to the Grammys) Twice. He has anchored every position in radio including morning and afternoon drive and was a Program and Music Director for The Breeze and California 103 in Calgary. He currently hosts the evening show at Move 103.5 (formerly QM-FM) in Vancouver and on iHeartRadio.

I dated a girl named Pamela at the time this song came out. It was hard to hear the song after we broke up a year later. But still a great song. Still one of my favorite Toto tunes

As a drummer my first thought when it comes to this song is the groove that Jeff Porcaro laid down. Simple but phenomenal. Joseph vocals are magnificent I've always liked his voice.

The Seventh One is also one of my favorite Toto albums. There are some awesome tracks on it:. Anna, Mushanga, Only the Children, Home of the Brave. It certainly deserves more recognition.

As an actual Pamela, the only song I could recall with my name was the Beatles' "Polythene Pam", so I was thrilled when I discovered Toto's tune with my name in it! lol I loved it the minute I heard it! We Pamelas couldn't have asked for a better, funkier song...thank you!!! 🎶💖

Pamela Adlon was in Grease 2, and did the voice of Bobby from King of The Hill. She also has her own show on Hulu called "Better Things." Thank you JW and JB for sharing that bit information with us.
