They can gaslight as if she didn't exist and wasn't part of SNSD but they can't change the fact that Jessica was once a main vocalist (Along side Taeyon, and she will always be in our hearts ofc) some member can cover her parts, they can and yes it's good. everyone of them was good. It's just that no one can do it like Jess, her voice, her tone, technique and accent is irreplaceable. Nevertheless i love the girls. both OT9 and OT8.

@@whatno.6007 I was proven wrong indeed! I loved the 8 members singing the original version of ITNW. I just had that initial thought because since Jess left, they were not performing the original version, not until LLL.

Its fans like you making a sensation out of jessica's role in the group when 8 is greater than 1. The only way a SNSD sound will be different is if they take Taeyeon's voice out. This 15th anniv was possible because the 8 others protected the group that resulted in 930. Whatever made them decide that resulted in 930 they obviously stood by that.

It is a fact that in the original studio version, Taeyeon AND Jessica carried the ITNW chorus alongside the harmonies and background vocals. I am not minimizing anyone’s role in the group. Of course as someone who listened to the original version more, I got used to the presence of Jess’ vocals. Saying that “it will sound different” doesn’t make it negative. It is just true that it will do so because Jess’s voice was prominent throughout the song. I also said that I liked the OT8 original version because indeed the 8 girls performed exceptionally. I didn’t say anything about who’s more important or who was on the wrong or whatsoever.

OT8 few performances they not only turned into a ballad, but they pitched it down two tones. They used Tiffany and Seohyun to harmonize with Taeyeon on the chorus instead.
i feel like, from this song alone, you can really tell how it's gonna "shape" their whole discography in terms of vocal layering and production into something rich. all the backings, harmonies, and ad-libs were really one of their kind. i'm so glad this is finally getting the vocal analysis that it deserves because we can only appreciate this song (vocally) to an extent. thank you so much for doing this! 🎀
