You'll find buses everywhere in Guanacaste. Double decker buses are frequent on the highways and the backroads usually see buses that are clearly not a fit for said roads.
A mix of Brazilian and Chinese buses.
Looks like it's mostly Latin American buses with a few Chinese buses here and there.

L'ambassade de France est belle. Mais est-elle utile? Un restaurateur français tombé amoureux du Costa Rica, pays magnifique, voulait ouvrir un restaurant à San José. Son projet fut refusé par les autorités costariciennes. Il demanda de l'aide à son ambassade. On lui aurait dit que le Costa Rica est fermé à l'immigration et qu'il n'avait qu'à repartir vite en France.

There is, but it depends on where they will operate. There are places that they are not suitable, because the infrastructure is poor, or even non-existent, they would live longer in the workshop than in operation. It is very common to see buses manufactured in Brazil, China, South Korea or locally, with a high floor, front engine (some of Chinese and South Korean origin comes mostly from the rear engine), manual transmission.
Marcopolo, Caio, Mascarello, Busscar, Ciferal, Maxibus they are Braziian buses. Yutong, Bonluck, Higer, and others, they are Chinese. Daewoo and Hyundai, South Korea.
Mauco it's a Costa Rica bus brand. Have some American buses, as come BlueBird
