ZOHD have listened to feedback about the original Dart XL and improved it. Improvements include,
- New designed motor mount, much more strong and durable.
- Add GPS bay and cover.
- Built-in Carbon Fiber rod inside fuselage.
- Optimized airfoil.
- Extend dock for Flight Controller.
- Extend the plywood for battery.
- Extra ball linkage inside package.

As soon as it was launched I found the Dart XL to be super stable in the air despite not having any form of onboard flight stabilisation. This would make a great long range FPV platform as it can carry large batteries for extended flight times.

Its so strangely stable and easy to fly. Almost too easy. Takes seconds to assemble...no excuses...just do it
Essential RC I think 2021 going to be my flying year 🤓
2020 has been my flying year strangely...if only because there have been no shows or events to go and film at. Really enjoying doing all the flying at our local field. Has reminded me how much I enjoy flying RC.

Is that plane really as noisy as I perceived it on the video? Interesting it's so stable, it looks like a difficult plane to control. Thanks for the review but Banggood is off my list until they get caught up on backorders and faster shipping. Two to three months is too long for me to wait. I'm American after all...I want it yesterday. Haha.
We had a loose decal flapping around so that would have created a little bit of extra noise. Sorry to hear you've had problems with shipping. I guess with COVID that's a problem not just limited to Banggood. I tend to get my orders from them in 2 weeks if by air. I'm no different. If I order I want it next day or sooner. Hi , great plane but how is it possible to land and avoid the propeller touch the ground and detroy the plane? Thanks
It has runners underneath that prevents the propellor hitting the ground
What transmitter are you using with that ZOHD Dart?
My trusty Spektrum DX18 Gen1 but I use that for everything. You could use any transmitter with V-tail options to fly this.
would you still recommend this fixed wing in 2023?
Yes...its still a good wing for FPV. Very stable and easy to fly. Good quality kit but all ZOHD stuff is good. Lots of space inside so easy install and can take large lipo.

Not included...but you could put any FPV or action camera in it if you have one. It is designed to have a lot of weight up front to achieve the recommended CG balance.
How’s does a PNP work im new
A 'kit' is just the foam aeroplane and hardware/linkages. 'PNP' comes with everything in the kit plus servos, motor and ESC. You will still need receiver, transmitter and flight battery.

Amazing how a loose decal can do that! We'll have it out again soon in stealth mode.
Actually, pusher props are noisy by nature, since they’re working in the interrupted airflow coming over the wing. I have some pushers, and they’re noticeably louder than my regular planes. But yeah, loose decals don’t help. ;-)

Too bulky for me I say but still a good flyer
Wings slot on and off with no screws so easy to transport...and it's so stable because of its size. 😉

... sounds awful, I'm afraid you still have to work on the coordination between motor and propeller, ... and, did you?
"coordination between motor and propeller" what does that mean? 😆 I think the prop needed a bit of balancing but otherwise pushers tend to be noisy.
"... coordination between motor and propeller", means, @@EssentialRC, ... there is a connection between the speed (RPM) of the engine and the propeller (... size and pitch ...) that must be observed, otherwise there will be loud "super sonic sound effects", similar to a cavitation problem with fast motor boats props, the aircraft's propeller then only generates a lot of noise and less thrust ...
Unbalance can of course also produce noises, I thought you had already balanced the propeller on the shaft by turning it piece by piece...
... but I'm not really an expert in this field, I only know this from the time of flight - combustion engines, if you are interested you should read more about this topic ...
... gibt es einen Zusammenhang zwischen der Drehzahl (U/min) des Motors und dem Propeller (... Größe und Steigung ...), der unbedingt beachtet werden muss, sonst kommt es zu lauten "Überschalleffekten", ähnlich einem Kavitationsproblem bei schnellen Motorbooten, der Propeller erzeugt beim Flugzeug dann nur noch viel Lärm und weniger Schub ...
Unwucht kann natürlich auch Geräusche erzeugen, ich dachte du hättest den Propeller auf der Welle durch stückweises verdrehen schon ausgewuchtet ...
... aber ich bin nicht wirklich ein Experte auf diesem Gebiet, kenne dieses nur aus der Zeit der Flug - Verbrennermotoren, bei Interesse sollten Sie sich in dieses Thema tiefer einlesen ...
