3:55 you keep talking about transportation costs but thats assuming people live right next to the beach. If people plan to cook at home regularly, they should really consider living close to Mega Market or an equivalent big supermarket, rather than the beach. Chances are you will cook more often than you need to go to the beach! So live close to where the food is.
It makes no sense to live in that side of da Nang. Especially for travelers. Everything is near the best at just a slight cost. Travelers don't really want to live in a local Vietnamese (much less English speaking) area. And it doesn't make sense to cook in Vietnam especially da Nang where eating out is practically cheaper or same price as cooking.
If they have a big refrigerator and freezer, they can buy enough food supplies for 3-4 weeks at a time to save money. But most people just take these small grocery hauls that are $20-30 every week and often forget items so they head back. They should be planning weeks ahead and spending $100-125. But you’ll be cooking frozen ingredients more if you do this cause the fresh ingredients will go bad in 1-2 weeks.
@@Willtravelz that's why i stated "If people plan to cook at home regularly..." Also some actually people do want to live local area away from foreigners. I'm one of them.
@user-km2bz8iy5o it's always weird to me that travelers don't want to be around other travelers. It's a weird mind set to me. But that's my opinion. Myself I moved out of USA to have the SAME quality of life as back in USA but st 50 percent of the USA budget. I didn't come to Asia to "find myself" or be zen, or live amongst the locals. None of that. I want to have a USA quality lifestyle at half the price.
@Trump02 it's too far out. For example it costs 50,000 vnd to get from beach apartment to mega market. So for me it's not worth it to pay that much to go there when it's not so cheap. I go to moonmilk that has better deals and I can walk rather than paying grab fee
i thought the beef in this video was old at first because it wasn’t red. But then I realized that in America, they color the beef so it looks more red 😂
We been to big c a few times. We find it much cheaper to shop at moonmilk especially factoring in we have to spend 70,000 to 100,000 for transportation to get across the river to the big c or any big grocery store.
@@Peters8749 they do have a good variety but I just can't justify the price due to me having to take to grab rides to and from which negate all the savings from my local moon milk. But they definitely have more products and more variety for sure.
thanks for going here and showing us a few things but I wish you would have done a better walk around of the store to showcase what the store really has the offer. also, nobody has done a good video yet showcasing the cost of beef products in Vietnam.. it's always just a quick glance of one item and you can never see prices.. just an idea... also, instead of always combining your live videos with you trying to make one for actual posting, you should separate the two and focus on building out proper clips for a main video.
Their meat prices aren't really good value. Ground beef is more fat than lean. And no sourdough. Their soda water is the cheapest in bulk, i've seen. When they have specials on, they can be good. They don't sell cigarette lighters, why? They had 2L of Coconut oil, only place I've seen it that big. And they actually have Costco items on sale, :)
@@timnic3850 yes I don't really recommend going to mega market unless you are there for another reason. But to make the separate trip and pay transportation not worth it for me.
Thanks for sharing your amazing video
Thanks for watching. 👍👍
What a wonderful place! I'm very satisfied to be able to explore it through this video.😀👍

@@Willtravelz well thats you, not everyone is an economic migrant who wants to seclude themselves among other foreigners.
The flat croissant is a new trend at bakeries
Weird never seen it before. Wonder if it tastes the same.

I don’t know this market , usually I go Aeon or Lotte mall at Vietnam
@@CuHo01 this is mega market it's a big store and has the largest variety. But I still don't think it's worth it to make a seperate trip for.
@ it seem like not much people are there , maybe they like Asian style market like Aeon or Lottee

Red wine a bit cheaper out there
in London a bottle red wine is 5 or 6 quid

80% if foreign food is over-priced in Vietnam. Much cheaper in Thailand. Big C is much cheaper in Vietnam
