I think a lot of this player's inability to ask for healing comes from the toxicity of doing that in lower ranks. I've had to become solo healer numerous times in gold because the other support got pissed off due to someone pressing X once during a fight
Or it is bc there are many players who keep pressing it and spamming that supports are annoyed by it and players who are more considered might think like, if they got the time they’ll heal me. The amount of people who keep spamming (at least in my eu games) is insane and after a few times of the same line, I’ll start tuning it out to focus more on the rest of the team and match.

I feel like this widow should start doing warmups if they don't do warmups already. Their aim didn't really kick in until the last few fights of the match. A little bit of warmup, and they will start off the match hitting those shots and absolutely dominating. To be fair, it is also hard to dominate as Widow when there's a Winston and Genji slamming themselves down your throat.
This is so nice to see genuinely. I’m currently trying to get better widow myself but sticking to quickplay, regardless I’ve had some pretty unpleasant games in terms of toxicity while I’m trying to learn. Getting some tips from flats and seeing the hype when this guy hits their shots, plus the fact they’re still going after 5 YEARS?? Just really great to see such motivation and support in the community
Canonically the most powerful overwatch player. They improve by a rank every 5 years, so eventually, they’ll hit top 500, and even rank 1. They’ll soon be completely unstoppable
To be honest, there’s no way this persons teammates were pulling their weight, man. Not trying to be one of those, but for how much resources they put into stopping Widow….come one. Somebody step up. 🤣
Happens at most ranks, I can play Widow/Sombra in Diamond and have 3 people on the enemy team make it their mission in life to not allow me to play the video game, but somehow the rest of my team can't win a 4v2 or they just stand in the choke point and watch, lol.
@@TeKnoVKNG23 I'm not sure myself why that happens but it is so real, holding off 2 or 4 enemies only for your whole team to not take down a Moira or something like that.
@Scrapps97 Yeah it can be pretty bad. If I'm lucky I might have 2-3 hours a night 3 days a week. If I catch a run of bad games, say goodbye to almost grinding to masters. It got worse with Mauga's release as well, this might be one of the worst seasons so far.
@Scrapps97 I was stuck in bronze from season 5 till role q and am now dimond. elo hell isn't real and it's not that if you have a certain level of skill elo hell isn't real either. if you are not toxic to your team and try to enable them to play their best you will climb.
I was yelling most of the time at this video saying, "use your damn ult!". This widow held onto it way too long. With their shots being oretty damn good they could have easily gotten ult at least twice as much as they did
I love watching people who are good at overwatch, it gives me motivation to keep getting better at mercy!! I almost hopped on overwatch and started playing widowmaker after watching this (I can't aim)
unless they only played once a year, how did they literally not improve in 5 years lmao Anybody should be at least silver or even gold just for having some game knowledges
I was stuck in bronze from the beginning of overwatch comp to about 2 or 3 years later, playing consistently. I started trying to make a conscious effort to actually think about my decisions in game, and climbed up to plat. I've now been hard stuck there for the past 2 seasons in OW2.
I truly applaud the determination from this guy for sticking to Widow in comp for 5 years. I always called myself a Widow main before overwatch 2 but I never had the confidence to just say "screw it" and play her in comp. Since I don't play her much anymore it really feels like my aim has simultaneously improved over time and suffered. Back when I was really playing her a ton in quick play I was still very new and had a ton to learn about the game in general so now I have the fundamentals down but I can't snipe since I've neglected her for so long. I love seeing this guy have the confidence to just brush off the losses and stick it out. Hail to the king of bronze!
Im impressed by the aim Also i do think alot of broze players specifically dps don’t ask for healing because in those low ranks they are probably just going to get ignored, and keep in mind this guy has been playing comp for 5 years he has more then likely been ignored enough times that he finds it more efficient to go find a healthpack i sure do when im playing dps
As supp I rely on sound more than most people think, and not on 'I need healing' callouts, but on sounds of character getting damage. But if you are Widow standing 3 miles away from me, guess what, I can't hear them.
@@rezq9109 that’s fair im a high gold moira player but i don’t normally listen for damage im constantly checking the visual colors of my teammates for their status, though im console so visuals work better than audio for me. I normally save my healing orb for the flanking or distant squishes.

He has the calm aim. He just needs to reposition more often than staying in the same spot once the enemy focus on him. Once he can do that, every gold player will be like noobs to him. Those shots are crazy for a bronze
When i was on console in ow1 i was los bronze and i once played against a widow name mercyhunter who was INSANE but would only fully try if the enemy team had a mercy and only played like a couple hours every week at max so he just sat in bronze, about a year after that, (i added him) i checked his account and he had climbed to masters playing widow. He will forever live in my heart as the greatest bronze widow ever
One of the best feelings back when I played Widow a ton, a.) being called a bot/hacker and b.) enemy team literally wasting their ult to get a guaranteed kill on JUST little old me. Had this been just the year before with that aim (and without the falloff) I think he'd of been around gold - plat with needing to improve on game sense. Some of the scariest Widow's I've ever fought sometimes can stand on point and murder a team-- and he has the patience to do just that!
12:10 is probably the craziest widow clip ive seen in a minute, dude literally had 1 hp before the med pack and then hits both headshots. actually nuts
I commend them for being so determined and actually achieving their goal. Regardless, if their aim keeps improving, they still need the game sense to swap to characters when they are being countered. They could have diamond Widow aim in silver but if they just have a Genji and Winston diving them or even like that Sombra they need to swap. Even if it is someone still aim based that they are comfortable with but also gives them the movement to escape those situations more(Plus if you get them to swap due to your swap you can swap back based on how they change their team comp). For example in a higher rank, the focus on them will start to be executed better and more often and it will be critical that they adjust quickly. Overall it is awesome they stayed determined and were able to get out of Bronze. I wish them the best in Silver :D

Congrats on Hitting Silver! I'm so happy for them! Hopefully I'll be able to climb out of Bronze Support been at it for 3 years but now they have given me confindence to keep trying!
What I learned from this is no matter how skilled you are with a hero you can't climb up ranks without flexing, this guy could be in Masters now if he flex with counters.
I’m in absolute shock. I’m in gold 1 as support and gold 4 as dps, I absolutely have never in my few months of playing seen a widow play as well as this. It is mind boggling. Like yeah Ik his game sense wasn’t perfect but it was better than that of any widow I’ve seen in gold so I’m going to say it’s a hell of a lot better than most. How is that mf doing now bc I must know 😭
Widow was definitely not the pick to learn the game. They can aim, but they don’t know how to play the game. They don’t have experience in team fights and the actual flow of gameplay. I feel bad because it seems like they’ve kind of wasted so much time only focusing on aim and not getting better at the rest of the game.

This sums up OW2 ranked nicely. You have some people quite skilled in one thing, but the lacking in other areas don't let you carry, but once the team of such indivdual at least carries their weight you'll see a total, one sided roll.
Man, it's a shame that the Kiri couldn't turn to help sometimes on their own. This is what I mean about climbing in bronze. Sure widow has some mistakes, but their teammates should have been easily able to capitalize on this. You HAVE to play stupid and do everything because no one else can do their job.
if this guy had the same dedication to play every other hero as opposed to just widow, he’d be FAR higher. the more you rank up, the easier the enemy team will counter you, and if you don’t swap when you’re being jumped by a sombra like this guy was, you’re in for a tough ass time
I feel like true counters don't really exist in the game, by that I mean someone if you don't swap you are guranteed a loss. Nothing is guaranteed. Why is zbra top 500 if all you have to do to win is swap to sombra, why is yzna literally all of the top 10 dps spots when he is a pharah/echo one trick. Just play hitscan right? The better you become the more you face your tough matchups and the more you learn the matchups better. Like I fought against a gm4 widow in qp and I am silver, obviously when I switched to sombra I won right? She was farming the entire lobby and this was her nerfed
@@khaledm.1476 your examples are bad, you're applying top 500 guys to the average joe... even in overwatch league they pick counters. Counters exist when you have 2 guys with the same level of skill fighting each other. Of course if your skill is higher it doesn't matter that much, but the higher you climb the more it matters. Also pharah\echo example they get hard pocketed, thats why hitscan can't deal with them. Anyways, if your logic resolves around the very top 0.01% of players, you already know its flawed and won't help at all in climbing ranks, simple as that. Like I said, when you're facing enemies with similar skill to yours, and you don't care about counters, you'll just lose.
@@vinhix then simply become better, the more you improve in a character to the point it doesn't matter. Let me ask you this is your goal to win, or is your goal to improve? If everytime someone switches to counter you, you swap off, you will never improve. This widow was not the same skill level, they were better because they play widow even when the enemy tries to counter them.
There's a big difference between being countered but being allowed to play and being countered and not being helped by 1) the team (as you can see in the video); 2) when the game becomes a living hell for you, and then regardless of the level of play, you lose. Because when you are pressured by 2-3 players, and the other 2-3 constantly keep you in priority, no matter how well you play, this situation will lower your favor and no, it will not be a useful lesson and development of you, it will be a complete tilt and lost game. Changing heroes is an important part of the game, because the game is a team game. And about ynza, he has two good picks that cover each other pretty well, his hitscan against Farrah is much stronger than against Echo (of course hitscan is still a control against her), because Echo can play more from the ground and she is more comfortable with it than Farrah. (I mean, even he changes heroes if the situation calls for it).
@@khaledm.1476 I agree that in the long run, the goal is to improve. But game to game, part of improving is adapting to your enemies. When you face players on your skill level/higher that are counterpicking you and winning, you should be realisic and switch. Improving in Overwatch isn't just about dominating the 1v1s. It's about adapting to the game you're in and making better hero choices. You don't have the luxury of getting better than the enemy DPS in a single game. But you do have the luxury of a big hero pool to use when you're getting countered.

@@Betterthanever-m2i it’s not that I don’t heal them. But I stop looking when I’m busy. As an example, I’m busy healing the tank in the middle of a team fight, and one of the dps says they need healing but don’t need it. If I keep looking when they spam it, the one that does need it could die. Same goes for if they only miss like 10hp.
I asked a Moira the other day in ranked if they could heal more because they were going DPS Moira with almost double damage than heals. (which wasn’t too high to begin with) Needless to say they immediately left the game with no hesitation or saying a single word. 😂
Flats:🤓 you ain’t gonna 180 and kill the Sombra
The bronze widow: wanna bet
"You're not going to 180° and kill her, that's just not going to happen."
Widow: *Proceeds to do just that and demolish Sombra twice in a row*
Also, this Widow has shocked me every time! I wish I had an ounce of his skill.
Play widow hs and death match. Best way to practice those shots that aren't holding lanes.
also good thing to note here is that those other people are bronze and move in straight lines, you dont even need to flick just position your cursor and get ultra consistent headshots as their walk into your crosshair
I need advice tbh 😭 I'm unranked in DPS and I feel like I'm doing well, I also have good accuracy (50% scoped, 30% crit), yet when I watch the replay I feel like I'm watching a new bronze 5 💀 like bro how do you play good
14:29 I lost it when Widow headshot that pesky Sombra at spawn. You're a better Widow than me that's for sure lol. Respect! And keep improving! :)

Widow hs + death match spam so good.
the best compliment you can get as a widow is have the enemies switch to sombra lucio 😂
yeah best part of this widow player is how calm and patient they are
This is so nice to see genuinely.
Haha flats!!! from @14:26 is a perfect utube short, showing crazy gameplay and a sincere mad reaction, loved it
It’s so nice seeing a widow dominate sombra respects to this person
Canonically the most powerful overwatch player. They improve by a rank every 5 years, so eventually, they’ll hit top 500, and even rank 1. They’ll soon be completely unstoppable
I think dude is actually in elo hell. If he was in a group where he could easily ask for reliable support from his team he would flourish
I mean he's definitely a silver widow. Just need better movement/consistency. Gold isn't that far away but they do need to upgrade part of their game.
To be honest, there’s no way this persons teammates were pulling their weight, man. Not trying to be one of those, but for how much resources they put into stopping Widow….come one. Somebody step up. 🤣
I mean it’s bronze so
Happens at most ranks, I can play Widow/Sombra in Diamond and have 3 people on the enemy team make it their mission in life to not allow me to play the video game, but somehow the rest of my team can't win a 4v2 or they just stand in the choke point and watch, lol.
With their shots being oretty damn good they could have easily gotten ult at least twice as much as they did
One of the most wholesome Flats videos I've seen in awhile. Gotta give props to Flats for saying that some of the shots were better than his own.
I love watching people who are good at overwatch, it gives me motivation to keep getting better at mercy!! I almost hopped on overwatch and started playing widowmaker after watching this (I can't aim)
No way that someone actually spent 5 whole fuckin years in bronze
it happens to the best of us
@@mikecoleman07 I don’t think you know what best means
unless they only played once a year, how did they literally not improve in 5 years lmao
Anybody should be at least silver or even gold just for having some game knowledges
he literally said it was his first fps you definitely werent as good as you think when you first started playing fps
Im impressed by the aim
Also i do think alot of broze players specifically dps don’t ask for healing because in those low ranks they are probably just going to get ignored, and keep in mind this guy has been playing comp for 5 years he has more then likely been ignored enough times that he finds it more efficient to go find a healthpack i sure do when im playing dps
I don't ask for heals cause I'm pretty trash, especially since I'm trying to lesrn sombra
I'd rather them heal the people who are actually putting in work😂
4:11 Reloads when you still have shots left and then walks straight at the Ashe while still reloading. That's some _hard_ panicking right there. Boi was hitting all the buttons
Dunno if you will ever see this comment, but here 5:46 was the moment you actually went into a zone. The hero has finally clicked with you and you popped off. You even ignored their tank and went after low hp squishie. What a moment! Wish you good luck on your journey.
5 years of slouching through bronze as window. i cant imagine alll the toxic shit that people said to widow
"Such good aim for a bronze player" he says. Man, I've been tingling between Gold and Plat since like, OW1 Season 2 or something and I would not have hit any of these to save my fucking life.
12:20 living on ACTUAL 1 and then 180 headshotting not 1 but TWO is wild. Give the bronze the browny points because that was sweet bro
Gotta hand it to him, he never gives up. Although with this slow of progress it kind of terrifies me to imagine how frustrating his life must be. Basically trying anything new requires a lifelong commitment before you get basic competency.
I actually watched this clip on my own time
This was crazy
The names of the Korean players…I can’t…
Here are the translations:
The Kiri: “playstyle”
The Ash: “Manly man”
The Mei: “Daddy”
The Winston: “Tofu”
The Moira: “Shrimp-chips”
…you cannot tell me those aren’t NPCs.
omg watching some of these moments where the aim is aimin is incredible. As a person who very much struggles with aim no matter how much I play, that 5 seconds where ashe died, then ana...so sweet. I was hyped.
OKAY MAN I literally just got out of bronze 1 and I only been working on it for like 2 months. Stoped playing cause I gtg to work. But bro. I grinded that character and I'm damn good on lucio kiri. But I'm pretty sure it's at bronze one again cause elo hell is crazy. Bad teams. Or it's just one really bad player to turn the whole game. I play with a diamond support player. Her dps is plat so we can que up. Greatest duo I've had. The best. I remember having such a bad tank we needed to clutch up so bad but I never thought I'd hit like 14k dmg and around 15k healing same game. Crazy dumb boop off the map satisfying team kill u kno. Not bad for controller I think? Idk but love your content flats Big Slam!!!!
this dude improves game-sense a little, calls for backup, and improves other utilities, he could be GOOD! some of those shots were CRAZY
"The second the hack goes off, you gotta run. You're not gonna 180 and kill her. That's just not gonna happen"
Bronze Widow: hold my beer lol
He has the calm aim. He just needs to reposition more often than staying in the same spot once the enemy focus on him. Once he can do that, every gold player will be like noobs to him. Those shots are crazy for a bronze
it feels good to see a sombra get shit on like imagine using ult and still getting domed
I respect this guy for his five year grind
I could never get those shots off on a Sombra tasked at specifically harassing me, let alone a REAPER. I wish them the best of luck.
He was shifting between Widow which trickshot killed Mondatta and Widow which got owned by the kid with the doom gauntlet and Tracer in the cinematic
I am so proud of this guy! Im cheering so hard for him!!
I think the most common reason good players are low down is because they are giving into the stress and that's the mental battle lost already
this man has diamond aim with bronze positioning, game sense and cooldown usage
So he should be gold on average
Great vid, I've never seen flats so impressed lmao
this is the nicest ive seen flats during a bronze review
"You're not gonna 180 her and kill her. Not gonna happen."

"youre not gonna 180 and get her" immediately does through emp
flats being impressed, thats crazy, hes like gordon ramsey with his critique
Dawg i dont even feel bad for bro he trying it took me 5k hours to reach masters props to bro being consistent

14:27 It's like a fine wine when your dominating, they switch to counter and still get dominated.
Flats busting out the sports knowledge/analogy was the most impressive part of this video lol
every good shot the widow hits, flats' voice goes up a semitone
Bruh some of those shots on the reaper/sombra were actually insane
I’m in absolute shock. I’m in gold 1 as support and gold 4 as dps, I absolutely have never in my few months of playing seen a widow play as well as this. It is mind boggling. Like yeah Ik his game sense wasn’t perfect but it was better than that of any widow I’ve seen in gold so I’m going to say it’s a hell of a lot better than most. How is that mf doing now bc I must know 😭
5 years in Bronze. Honestly, I’m pressed by the dedication to trying to improve your shots with one of the harder aim characters.
@@eagleblaze02that is the problem, he's so stuck on good kills and looking cool but he completely forgets how to progress, and move objectives, overall me personally good shots don't mean nothing if u nor helping tye team, I wouldn't want this guy on my team.

His shots were incredible. I can't wait to see where he's at 5 years later
4:25 to be fair, he said bronze widow king
This sums up OW2 ranked nicely. You have some people quite skilled in one thing, but the lacking in other areas don't let you carry, but once the team of such indivdual at least carries their weight you'll see a total, one sided roll.
Man, it's a shame that the Kiri couldn't turn to help sometimes on their own. This is what I mean about climbing in bronze. Sure widow has some mistakes, but their teammates should have been easily able to capitalize on this. You HAVE to play stupid and do everything because no one else can do their job.
8:45 great analogy
if this guy had the same dedication to play every other hero as opposed to just widow, he’d be FAR higher. the more you rank up, the easier the enemy team will counter you, and if you don’t swap when you’re being jumped by a sombra like this guy was, you’re in for a tough ass time
I feel like true counters don't really exist in the game, by that I mean someone if you don't swap you are guranteed a loss.
@@khaledm.1476
I agree that in the long run, the goal is to improve. But you do have the luxury of a big hero pool to use when you're getting countered.
talking about how bad he is while hes hitting all his shots is so sad
felt like you were just reading chat and not watching him get a 3k
