Dad Osprey Defends and Steals Intruder’s Fish

An intruder osprey swooped at the nest today, only to lose its fish to Dad. Go Dad! You can very briefly see the fish in the intruder’s talons before Dad jumps up and comes down with it. He didn’t have a graceful landing, missing the nest, but flew off and returned to the nest immediately. Because the intruder returned again, Dad left the fish in the nest and Mom picked it up later for her lunch. Both regular speed and slow-mo versions included.
