Such an amazing event! I’m a 76 year old Florida man, living in the Pacific Northwest of the USA. I’ve followed the Revival for years, and finally fulfilled the dream of attending in 2023. It was more than I could have imagined! Love the coverage you’ve provided!
Thanks for the memories. Best birthday present I ever gave myself5 years ago. Being a Lotus guy from the early 60's, I wish I could have made it back again this year.
Nice to see your back. Great coverage from Goodwood, summat for everyone. Always fancied going. My eyes would be on stalks all day. Thanks for taking us round now get back grinding and welding.
hi mate, great event again! I must come over next year for some of them. So many nice cars and bikes. I was quiet busy last weeks, next week it all calmed down finely. We must find a date to have some good days to spend. Keep in tough👍
ripper bloke, at Goodwood , thanks for taking us viewers there.....Oh dig the Austin A55 sedan...she was a serious racer.....Oh and in the hairdressing parlour with all em shielas there....hahahaha
That quadracycle near the start, immediately all I could think of was a high Nellie bike and some classic bits and bobs and a big fugg off leather chair out the front
Bryan always finds the really authentic stuff, such as the standard lamp made from suspension parts or the moustachioed merchant of saucy satin and tat.
Nothing beats The Revival Meeting. Watched all the racing on the Goodwood Channel on YT. Excellent coverage and superb commentary on the best cars and racing around. With regards to the guys talking about removing fibreglass from the bonnet: You can heat up the work with a normal domestic iron on hot and it will come apart easily, as the epoxy melts. It is quite safe to do this, I have done it during a couple of boat restorations and to correct a mistake on a mast I made for a scratch build I am doing. Hope this helps.
I was watching it on friday Dale....tbh if you want to see the racing, sat on the sofa is a better option ...great day out thou...ill pass the info over to Josh !!! thanks mate
@@oakswamp I marshalled at Goodwood a couple of times for the Tunbridge Wells MC, it is just like going back in time. You only see a very small part of the circuit. Going around the paddock and seeing all your heroes is the way to do it.
As usual mate you never fail to deliver the goods 👍. You know Brian if i ever make it to the UK i get the feeling id be swamped at the Air port by all these chicky babes calling my name out Oh the imagination is running wild 😜
I love Goodwood , watch it every year on UA-cam. Someday I'm going to come check it out in person. That and the Isle of Man, definitely bucket list events.
A few years back i did some work on a J 2 Allard . From what I've learned the body and chassis were made on your side of pond and shipped here to be fitted with a Cadillac engine or Chrysler Hemi . The one I was involved with had the 354 Hemi and 4 speed gear box . I was hoping to see some in this video . Love the road trips and as always the music Thanks for the ride along 😎✌️
5:37 Max and Ina Balchowky's homebuilt "junk yard dog" was a cult favorite in Cailfornia. it raced against and some times beat the best of the pedigreed European sportscars. happy to see it at Goodwood. Max DID source parts from junkyards.
Did I really see Max Balchowsky's "Old Yeller" in there, or are my eyes playing tricks on me? Great video; sensory overload; too much to take in! Thanks for sharing.
@@oakswamp lol. That was the original advertising slogan in Australia. There was the Austin Lancer and the Morris Major. They were slightly bigger than the equivalent Wolseley 1500 and Riley 1.5 and had a 1620cc engine developed in Australia. They have lots of potential for development…
ah yes sorry, I get what you mean....that Austin was reaally cool , i chatted to the owner for a while ...had an 1800 cc motor in it , 160 hp as i remember...
What day did you go Bryan I'm assuming fri/sat? We we're there yesterday much cooler made the day much more bearable. Great video mate captured the spirit of the meet👍

@@oakswamp I agree it is Bryan some beautiful cars & bikes and some interesting stands but no more than you me and the other guys do in our workshops that follow you.
Used to go all the time, went last yr for first time in yrs and it was all the same😢.. I usually go Thursday as cheaper and less crowds but obvs less track action if that's what you want.
Not sure why you didn’t embrace the spirit of the revival by dressing in the baseball cap t-shirt combo, you may as well be at an American car show, come on man , make an effort!
Actually, my 15th revival this year, and I would says its gone down hill, bugger all aircraft, no acrobatics, not much of a varation in races categories, and a lot of noisy music going on, strikes me a lot of people are here for a party, rather than the petrol.

hahahah watch twice ! pretty sure that was the original car mate .....cheers
yes you did. a "junkyard dog" driven by legends and built by legends at Goodwood! Max and Ina would be surprised.
Austin Lancer is the answer. Some great old cars there.

Was that car at 455 a two stroke mitter ?
I dunno , I liked the idea thou ...4 wheel drive two stroke ...must weigh nothing ....would be a big load of fun to drive!

Hi all whats the name of the first song played please
'Promised Land', a Chuck Berry classic from the sixties, Johnny Allen did a Cajun-ish version at the time, that's worth checking out as well.
old tune called the' promised land'. not sure who did it originally
Thank you it was Chuck Berry
Looks like a great day - shame there is no 'smellvision' on the vid 😅
