Not letting your hand on the mouse pad is really good advice. Watchibg back tracking scenarios you can see my aim stutter from dragging my hand on the pad. Taking my hand off the pad improved the smoothness and control but it does cost you in comfort.
I can't not put my palm on the pad, my hands are too big, lol. Tip of my fingers to end of my palm is almost 8". I've found wearing a sleeve and a glass pad helps me with smoothness.

He does that because that mouse kinda makes you. I have that mouse, the Atlantis regular/medium size, and I always end up gripping it like that, which is why I dont use it. And the mini ended up being too small for me.

Dpi on the bottom is actually WAYYYY better than dpi button on top. U can control the dpi with an app but having dpi button on top makes you accidentally change ur dpi while ingame which is annoying

This way there Is less friction with your body parts resulting in an smoother aim
with the grip is use I kinda brake with my pinky on the mousepad, it’s like a 2nd sensor to the mouse sometimes it’s weird 😂
I do this myself, for me putting wrist on the pad is uncomfortable. but i use pincer claw vs standard MCP claw
