Actually, not to be difficult or disagreeable, but I think Jay's hair looks thicker.
I need me some Keeps!
What’s an estimated cost for this build. Trying to do something similar this summer and just like knowing numbers. Appreciate it
You guys are going to miss Arlo once he really does retire. He has the solutions for those intricate little jobs that nobody wants to do. A true craftsman.
Absolutely! I'm in the Arlo Appreciation Club!
thank God they still have Jamie!
They know it.
Arlo is a boss. You just got to hope you can soak in all you can from him before he does retire.
Honestly, I hope Arlo sticks around (even if he’s only around once a week or so), physical health permitting… staying physically and mentally active is the key to staving off problems like dementia!
I’m sad there are only two episodes left in this build series, but happy for Ramelle to be able to move into her beautiful home. Congratulations, Ramelle!
Thanks @tmoss7122! I started moving in furniture on 3/22 - actually passed Jamie and crew on the Cardinal Coffee road in my car with it and two trucks loaded down with my furniture. I got moved in a week ago, 3/28, which allowed me to wake up for my first morning coffee in my place on my birthday! I have now been in my home for 1 week. So much still to do to get to the comfy cozy stage. I am slow because I take a medication that has side effects of fatigue and brain fog (breast cancer diagnosis 18 months after my husband’s death- thankful to be cancer free for 25 months now!) and then with all the packing and moving I aggravated a hip impingement and arthritis in the other knee - aging isn’t always an easy thing 😅.
Trying to give myself space and grace to get it done without causing more damage!
@@ramellesmith1520 - Congratulations, Ramelle! I hope you enjoy your new home and it proves to be all you hope for it! Good luck and enjoy!
You have a beautiful home! May you continue to be cancer and pain free. God bless you and your family.@@ramellesmith1520
This videos are time shifted IIRC. Might be Ramelle already lives there. ;)
@@ramellesmith1520 that's incredible. Amazing to hear you're in remission and that you were able to move in by your birthday!
My wife and I are naming our second son Arlo!
After Arlo Guthrie?
@@jamespppyacek342 yes smartass
😂😂😂😂
Arlo seems to be the most knowledgeable member of the team. His is always working away quietly in the background ready to provide an answer. He will be missed when he retires. Great member of your team. Your whole team is great and work well together.
I know you guys always say you typically don't, but I was really hoping you do a full reveal in the final video, this is such a cool house! :)
Thanks for appreciating my home. It’s possible, if timing works, that Erik can video the completed home, furniture and all, in a few months.
@@ramellesmith1520 Really hope so Ramel. You're going to have a beautiful home and we appreciate you all sharing the journey!
@@richardneel6953 - it is a beautiful home, celebrating 1 week today of living in it! Grateful I was given the opportunity to share the build. PBB and crew are the best!
@@ramellesmith1520 oh, and sorry about misspelling your name, Ramelle. There, I feel better :)
@@richardneel6953 - no need to apologize but thanks. It gets misspelled and mispronounced all the time. Glad I have a not so common name and not so common house - it’s a theme in my life 😹
Arlo you can not retire at your age you are to young! I am 65 and a finish carpenter ( started this full time at 50 & was part timing it before) . My dad built homes and was a full time carpenter into his 79 th year then part time just retired at 84/85 he is almost 90. Work is so important to your health ! I tried to retire once and I went right down hill !
Buddy you keep that tool belt on !
40+ years as a carpenter now, and I always heard "the first 80% takes 20% of the time, the last 20% takes 80%". I've certainly found that to be true. Looks nice!
Me too. Agree 100%.
when the rock is up, you're 1/2 done...
So so spot on, nothing worse than the last jobs
Especially with everything not being in stock (still) and you have to wait for the thing to arrive...
Arlo is a Gem, Would love to pick his and jaimie's brain some day. Theyre a wealth of knowledge, great crew.
Poor Erik! Proud of the detailed screen he helped build and all Jaime cares about is knowing he didn’t actually do it himself. Such a minor detail but what a great solution
been watching your videos for about 2 years or so, one thing i might suggest is after the "thanks for watching" ending, throw in a blooper or two. "trailmater" does that and its well worth it. thanks guys, love your channel
Great idea… thanks
For some reason this build has been especially fun, we will miss Ramelle! Congratulations on your beautiful home. And of course, Arlo will be missed as well, but congratulations and well deserved to you on retirement and hope we still see you occasionally in videos!
Glad you enjoyed, it was certainly fun for me what with the PBB and crew humor! Thanks for watching and for the well wishes!
I have to say I love that you covered these hard time consuming finicky projects like the screens and especially the coverage on the oven process. I think one of the most positive outcomes from that is that you encourage professionalism and attention to detail to the bitter end and in the areas that you would rather avoid and therefore rush. This encourages me to take the time and cost to do the same.
Gosh the screens turned out really nice and will help to keep the birds out. Now that's what I call a baker's dream oven. Do like the metal siding as well. So happy for Ramelle to have an exciting home to move into. At the same time have really enjoyed this build and will be sad at the end. Truly will miss Arlo being around when he retires. Thank you and look forward to the next video.
Arlo is a national treasure!
I love how much you guys care about doing the job right. ❤
A good screened porch is so enjoyable when it's nice out. Great feature
It will be once I get it furnished. Having to get creative since the build went over budget causing the furniture and decor budget to be non existent 😢. Fingers crossed for some gifts from the furniture gods!
@ramellesmith1520 -- start a UA-cam channel! You already have plenty of viewers!
Or onlyfans
@@Bonkswell - ha ha! Probably not as many fans as you think! But thanks for watching and, I guess, being a Ramelle fan~
@@Bonkswell - I got an education from some of the crew on onlyfans one day - that would be a hard no!
That oven reminds me of the USS Midway CV-41..the bi close oven doors...the cooks on the Midway were awesome..and inspire me to this day...
I think this has been my favourite series from you guys. Ramelle, your home is looking absolutely beautiful and I cannot wait to see it finished with the metal siding. I hope you enjoy many happy years in your new home. It's an aspirational build from the Perkins Bro crew. Watching this all the way from rainy England and must admit the wide open spaces you all enjoy in some areas of the USA are truly amazing!
Oh and Arlo, if you hang up your toolbet after this build then good for you and enjoy your retirement!! You'll be sorely missed in these videos though!!!
Thank you! You, the rest of the subscribers, PBB and me all have wanted to see that metal siding installed!
Nice to see that Jayson also started using Keeps😂
I like this kind of video just as much as any other. You may not like it, but we do! Thanks.
Ramelle - loving the color choices! I hope we get to see the place furnished too. Thanks for letting us come along!
@Tractorgal - thanks for appreciating my color choices and for following along. Grateful to PBB and crew for my awesome home and for sharing with folks how it came to be!
And if timing works Erik seems willing to a follow up video of it furnished.
I love Arlo for his job like a super pro
Looking good and i know she loves yall, but is ready to have her house!! SO close!
I love the way you guys consider issues that may arise and devise a plan to avoid them before completing the task. Not many contractors put that much forethought, planning and pride in their work. Keep up the great work!
I never get tired of the contents... always fun to watch
Another great video! Thank you to Ramelle for sharing her new home. The over is great!!
Arlo could write a book on construction solutions.
I love the color in the kitchen Romelle, and the rain chain, thumbs up!
The devil is in the details! Awesome work, beautiful home!! Congrats!
The screens turned out great, but won't bugs still be able to get in through the deck boards?
The cart idea for installing the oven was genius! Also, you gotta drive through the puddles. Always.
“You made that?, ‘well Arlo.’” Classic. Jamie, bustin’ balls!
I love how many check engine lights Jamie’s truck has.
Great attention to detail, like the way you’re careful not to damage the final installations
PBB and crew are the best!
That thin measuring stick tip is a great tip.
I found that funny the finish work always takes much more time than you think it will.
Ramelle should do some youtube videos about what she'll be cooking with that super expensive oven haha.
On one hand these are my favourite videos as you see it all coming together, but on the other hand it's a shame it's coming to an end, especially as Ramelle was such a joy too. Congratulations on a fabulous home. I see you are in now, so happy new house living!
Thank you! Living the dream for sure ~
Man, I'd hate to be in that house during a hail storm!!!
Happy birthday Arlo! 🎉😊
The finish portion of a job is the cherry on top of the sundae. Thanks for including it in your build videos.
Big Tex trailer. Jaime needs to get one. Will solve all his trailer woes and make him happy.
Super nice job getting that oven in without damaging the cabinets. That’s how it’s done.
Great details shared by your entire crew, thanks!
Love watching your videos. The paint colors drive me a little crazy but maybe I will change my mind when it is all done.
The final details are my fav part of the builds! No need to apologize for them!
Arlo is the 🐐 goat!
Hello, I'm from Brazil, I really like your content
Love the attention to detail!❤
Great work on those custom frames. Pro tip strech screen completly over frame ans staple to bench top it's easy to strech tight and then attach cover frame and finally trim excess screen with knife. Ray
ill be the one to appreciate your edit of opening the oven door to the beat, good job lol
That is one beautiful house! The detail that each of you put into it really shows and I'm sure Ramelle will enjoy this for many years to come.
Thank you! A collaboration between me, my architect and PBB and crew! I have been enjoying it for the last week as I officially moved in to enjoy my first morning coffee on my birthday!
big fan from saudia
keep the good work
I'm already getting excited about the next project.
Arlo was just testing you Eric, Arlo never wrong lol
I like these type of videos because this is what most homeowners are going to be doing for installs and repairs, the last thing I framed in was my daughters drawing from middle school.
We had to order the same sink 3x’s. Now we have 2 dented ones in the basement!!!
You guys should get Vevor to sponsor a hydraulic lift table. Handy for precision placement of heavy stuff like that stove.
Great job guys, you're almost there. Thanks for sharing.
That oven though!!!❤❤❤❤
I enjoy the finish stuff!
Great Teamwork 👍👍🥳🥳
Really close guys looking awesome
I love that we are getting to see all the end bits. I've been learning heaps. If you want to show how the door handles are installed to meet the lock on the jam (or even how the hole in the jam is done), I'm not opposed 😅. Thanks for another great episode, have a great week. Also Ramell, thank you for allowing the PBB to take us alone on your journey ❤
Grateful I was given the opportunity to be a PBB client so you could see the build of my beautiful home! Thanks for being a PBB fan and for watching the Modern Hime Build series- it’s been a blast for me!
Love every steps of the build!! Thanks for everyone's skill and efforts!!
This is the first house I’ve seen you guys build that I honestly think is beautiful. Ramelle truly has a sense for the aesthetic!
Thanks so much for the compliment! There was some collaboration and a few strong suggestions on the part of PBB - most notably the trim but my own mix of stain for it.
Watching Eric swing leg over ladder makes me want to start singing Cool Rider (Grease 2) 😂. Love watching y’all’s banter. So attached made me tear up when hearing Arlo talking about retirement. 😢
The most work is in the details. Awesome work guys.
This was another awesome video. You guys are so much fun to watch
Love that oven!!!!! So happy for Ramelle.
Love this house ❤
Thank you! I am loving living in it for the last week!
I have one of those staplers, it's awesome.
Kitchen color turned out really nice!
Thanks! So glad I was mistaken about how it would dry!
I hope Keeps is paying Erik’s dog for the fine acting in the background during Erik and Jason’s commercial. Hilarious!
Great episode! Love the oven. Very fancy
I love the look of the oven. I have been in the house a week now IRL but haven’t had time to crack open the Manuel to figure out how to turn it on and work the beautiful thing! Still unpacking and will be for a while longer!
You are guys are funny and informative.
Good call on the sink Jamie, Hell of a try you guy's.
You guy's are so cool this Old Lady needs that oven with all the baking I do and give goodies away God Bless you ALL
I love that oven..it’s beautiful
Thanks! I loved the idea of the French doors and wasn’t a fan of the gold handles to begin with. A friend said it would make for a good story since she thinks of me as the golden baker. Since the plumbing and fixture company was looking to get it off their floor I got it for only $500, a super great deal and have since become a fan of the gold handles!
that oven was awesome!
Thanks! Grateful I got a screaming deal on it!
Such a wonderful video as always !! I could watch You All build, all day !! I LOVE YOU ALL 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Yeah it's gotta get done but I hate door knob days towel bars etc etc etc
I can't wait to see that metal sheeting wall done and gone.
You guys take a lot of pride in your work arlo is amazing I love watching his skills ❤
Love this project and all of the detail. Metal siding looks great. Congrats to Ramelle on a beautiful home.
Thank you! Happily residing in it for the last week!
Stapling screen never works. The wind will eventually rip it. I’ve ripped grooves down each face of the frame and used window spline to stretch it tight. The table saw blade and the window spline used were roughly the same diameter so the fit was tight. Cap it with trim and it’s held tight for for years. Easy to repair as well.
That oven solves a problem that never existed with a single door oven. Love it, lol!
That oven is 🔥🔥🔥. And the screened in porch is just beautiful!
Thanks!
God bless Arlo
That oven is gorgeous!
You need to convince Arlo to write a book when he retires, the knowledge that man has should not be lost but shared!
Still hoping @ramellesmith1520 shows us her moved in space!
There’s a chance, if timing works, that Erik will come back and video. It’s gonna be a while before I have it all cozy and comfy. Getting creative about furniture, interior and exterior, since that budget got blown by build budget needs. Building costs are astronomical!
Never hit stainless with metal unless on the unseen side. Use a rubber or plastic mallet with something hard behind it, but that is covered in something soft like white plastic.
Jamie Eric and team, I have really enjoyed watching new guy's work and for the giggles. Watching the homeowner film you every time you go to do somethi know?
She's just doing this for her own benefit. For the future she gonna look back on. What happened and how her house was built? But it's just so funny. She's in the background.Always got that d*** camera running.I love it.Thank you for the videos
For my benefit from my perspective for sure because Erik’s vision is different!
Grateful I was invited to be involved as much as I was. On our first call Jaime said I could throw on a tool belt and bang away. Since that’s not my skill set I did what I could to help - from clearing the land, hauling blocks and cement for the foundation, painting said foundation interior, being asked to help lift the first wall, too many site cleans ups to count, sent to get materials so the guys could keep doing the real work to running to get coffee that subscribers gifted to baking snacks and making lunches. I did what I could to have some sweat equity in my home and understand in detail the ins and outs of the build of my home. So grateful for the extraordinary opportunity to hang out with longtime friends in PBB and crew! Heart full homeowner now living the dream in my home that was designed (architect Tim Mason) and built by PBB and crew - the home built of/by/for community!
Nice oven
Thank you. So grateful for the incredible deal I got on it. Otherwise it would have been a very meh choice in wall ovens!
Arlo is the best!
Another great video. You guys are fun to watch,
That oven is a wow factor. So happy for Ramelle.
Thanks @pamelahousley7543!
I found the oven early on so I knew it was going to take my kitchen to a whole other level of form and functionality! Grateful the local national plumbing and fixture company was willing to let it go for a mere $500!
“The reason this isn’t done is we were not wanting to do it” Felt this to my core.
those trim screwz work well…use em plenty myself
Love your video as always… So excited for her
Thanks! I have been in my home a week now with the post of this video. Grateful for my beautiful home!
Just wondering about the screen porch. Looks great, but what about the gaps in the flooring?
I'd love to see a 'revisited' episode to see how everything worked out
Is screening placed “under” the floor? Love your show! TYTY for sharing! ❤️❤️🙏❤️❤️
No, it’s not as cat fur and debris would cause a tapping issue. The cats love bugs do they can be entertained by the occasional bugs and have a crunchy treat too boot! 😂
