I only use eBird on my laptop, because unfortunately the Android app demands that you have location turned on. I wish they would let you manually set your location in the app the way you do on the web site.
I just saw a female Orchard Oriole in Gainesville a week or so ago, eating berries in the Carolina Holly tree in front of my townhouse. I put it into eBird, and a message popped up saying how it was a rarity in this area for this time of year and asking me to post corroborative evidence if I have any, which I don't. Now I'm on the lookout for it, hoping to see it again to try to get a picture.
I get chipping sparrows in my yard...but so hard to take pics...last winter i notice this in Ebird..got flagged and tbey email me to provide evidence 😂😂... i hoping they visit this year and get pics to send to ebird ...i amin orlando. ❤❤
