Great news everyone! Wonyoung has officially won the lawsuit against Sojang. Hopefully this will teach Sojang a lesson to not spread nasty and malicious misinformation about idols.
Very happy indeed that Wonyoung has won! But knowing the appeals process, and whether or not Sojang would comply, Wonyoung still has a road ahead of her in the area of Collections now. Wonyoung may need to consider hiring bailiffs soon, just in my opinion. But congrats to Wonyoung nonetheless.

She wouldn’t have stopped unless she got hacked. Taehyung tried to get that account taken down over a year and she just kept going. Just like a sasaeng, attention fueled her hate. My pure gripe in this issue is that the channel had to be hacked for it to disappear. Surely YT has received enough reports to demonetize or terminate the channel all together but that didnt happen at all. YT didnt do anything and the fact that Soljang mentioned that they received money from it makes me question YT's capability to enforce their own rules on those that really need it enforced on.

I vividly remember when Sojang made the video regarding Sullyoon’s rumored boyfriend, as well as her uploading a video regarding the alleged couple which is MX Minhyuk and Red Velvet’s Wendy. For some reason, a few of the comments on the Sullyoon’s video attacked the two men as a p*do for being involved with someone who is still in her early 20s (when as we all now, that is far from the truth. Also as a monbebe, i think the past “dating” scandal with Shownu greatly impacted him… or as SSE informed the public). Now, while the Minhyuk x Wendy was seen as cute, Minhyuk did stated in some of his lives then that his interaction with other idols should not be seen as anything other than a normal interaction/s (and I mean knowing Minhyuk, he is one of the few idols I know that also likes to call out either obsessive fans or haters). Overall, I am kinda glad that both SSE and Hybe are going to push through with the lawsuit (this is only as far as I know since there is no withdrawal news of the lawsuit) because what she has done in the past few years greatly affected a lot of idols and K-actors/actress.

If you asked general audiences for their picks on the most toxic/problematic KTubers, they’d probably say Everglow-Up, Nabi Core, Taejiu etc (Just making it clear, these are all friends of mine and I don’t find any of them to be problematic. People just can’t handle opposing opinions to their own.) There are people like this that exist purely to stir drama and garner clout from fabricating false rumors. There are actually hateful and toxic people out there that are trying to ruin to lives of idols. Having negative opinions on groups, music, companies, fandoms, etc isn’t being toxic. Just critical. Thanks for uploading a vid on her tbh she reminds me of this fictional problematic blogger +V+ (V) from Idol Gossip by Anna Leigh Young who would make up crazy rumors enough for authorities to believe they were true or “expose” stuff that would cause everyone to get in trouble. One is example is this one girl from a Kpop girl group got kicked out of her group for dating, but everyone got in trouble by getting their phones confiscated. All trainees and all idols under the fictional company. If you ever get the chance I recommend reading Idol Gossip it’s a good book.
I think although artists and companies have tried to ( and probably did ) sue this person before, what makes this situation different is Starship’s approach. As they revealed in their statement, they have been working since November with Google to try and track this person down and allegedly once they received the information needed back in May-June of this year, the channel coincidentally got hacked... so whether that is true or not ( the hacking ) part, it is an odd coincidence... one can only speculate but I am very happy to hear about how invested & determined Starship was to uncover this person and take them to court. Wonyoung’s reputation will forever be affected because of what this person did, she’s literally the punching bag of the kpop community and a lot of that has to do with the groundless rumors this person spread about her. A 40 y/o doing this to a then 16-17 year old teenage girl! Despicable.

KookieLit used to be a nice update channel and had this super sweet voice narrator. But ever since that narrator went away, the videos also started to become more like a typical gossip channel that gives attention to hatred. I think Be Boss channel is also connected with the people who now run KookieLit channel.

I think she’s unhappy with her life and needs this to fill a void. It gives her something that she is missing and not getting elsewhere, so trying to get others to think these idols are bad people makes her heart feel more full. She probably needs therapy to find out what it is she feels she is missing that she tries to fill with this damaging and destructive past time of hers. But people like her never admit they need help so she will likely be this way for her whole life, sadly. It’s no coincidence that Sojang picks on beautiful idols like Sullyoon and Wonyoung. I lean to the side that she is deeply, deeply insecure about herself and likes to think she has the power to bring down beautiful people in the eyes of others so they can be on the level she feels that she herself is on. I wish people like this would simply seek to better themselves (such as with therapy) instead of taking their problems out on the world and other living people who are just trying to also find their own peace and happiness in their one life. Thanks for uploading a vid on her tbh she reminds me of this fictional problematic blogger +V+ (V) from Idol Gossip by Anna Leigh Young who would make up crazy rumors enough for authorities to believe they were true or “expose” stuff that would cause everyone to get in trouble. One is example is this one girl from a Kpop girl group got kicked out of her group for dating, but everyone got in trouble by getting their phones confiscated. All trainees and all idols under the fictional company. If you ever get the chance I recommend reading Idol Gossip it’s a good book.

I think although artists and companies have tried to ( and probably did ) sue this person before, what makes this situation different is Starship’s approach. As they revealed in their statement, they have been working since November with Google to try and track this person down and allegedly once they received the information needed back in May-June of this year, the channel coincidentally got hacked... so whether that is true or not ( the hacking ) part, it is an odd coincidence... one can only speculate but I am very happy to hear about how invested & determined Starship was to uncover this person and take them to court. Wonyoung’s reputation will forever be affected because of what this person did, she’s literally the punching bag of the kpop community and a lot of that has to do with the groundless rumors this person spread about her. A 40 y/o doing this to a then 16-17 year old teenage girl! Despicable.

Despite me being an avid fan of many Kpop girl groups since 2017, I had not even heard of Sojang before now, which I will consider a blessing because I'm sure I would have been disgusted by her slanderous ways long ago. She fully deserves whatever she has coming to her.

KookieLit used to be a nice update channel and had this super sweet voice narrator. But ever since that narrator went away, the videos also started to become more like a typical gossip channel that gives attention to hatred. I think Be Boss channel is also connected with the people who now run KookieLit channel.

This is just one channel. There are numorous other channels trying to hate and spread misleading information just to earn some stupid money and think they are cool. Many people fall into this trap leading to such a great defame of K-pop. They think it's fun to hate a whole damn industry just because it's in trend. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. Just beacuse you don't like someone rising up, you can't create rumors, give death threats or even reach to the point that you're literally physically attacking an idol. Sojang's so called apology doesn't seem sincere. It just looks like a jealous narcissist who has nothing better to do than to cyberbully any idol that she has a problem with. I think she’s unhappy with her life and needs this to fill a void. It gives her something that she is missing and not getting elsewhere, so trying to get others to think these idols are bad people makes her heart feel more full. She probably needs therapy to find out what it is she feels she is missing that she tries to fill with this damaging and destructive past time of hers. But people like her never admit they need help so she will likely be this way for her whole life, sadly. It’s no coincidence that Sojang picks on beautiful idols like Sullyoon and Wonyoung. I lean to the side that she is deeply, deeply insecure about herself and likes to think she has the power to bring down beautiful people in the eyes of others so they can be on the level she feels that she herself is on. I wish people like this would simply seek to better themselves (such as with therapy) instead of taking their problems out on the world and other living people who are just trying to also find their own peace and happiness in their one life.
