At first I would've gone with red as my color, but seeing most of my favorite Star Wars characters using blue, I'd definitely go with that. Obi-Wan Kenobi!
I would use the red lightsaber crystal on a double-bladed lightsaber. The reason for it is that there is no peace, there is only passion. Through my passion, I gain strength. Through my strength, I gain power. Through my power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken. The Force shall set me free.
Hyperdrive, I like that poem, I think I'll apply it to me, because I will never be able to control my emotions to the Jedi standard. Are you able to change the tints of your lightsaber, you know, choose whether it's light blue or dark blue, because if you look at people's lightsabers, even when they're the same color their shades differ.
***** Hmmm, so I think I might have to be a rogue Jedi, and just not be a part of the Jedi Council, and protect whoever I want to however I want to. Thank you for responding to my comment!
Helen Drill Sword I think that'd be called a "Grey Jedi" - someone who is neither Dark nor Light side, staying in a Force neutral zone, where they don't abide by the Jedi or the Sith tenets.
***** YAY! I have a name! Don't Grey Jedi, for lack of a better name, get killed by both Dark and Light side Force-wielders? Because the Jedi would kill them for fear they'd join the Sith and because they don't follow the Jedi's rules, and the Sith would kill them because they wouldn't join them.
2:43 "Famous users include..." Every sith ever. Except for General Grevious... but I wouldn't count him as a sith though, since he can't use the force.
There's actually an exception to the red lightsaber crystals growing naturally. Darth Vader's lightsaber originally had a red synthetic crystal, but he would later switch it with a rare crimson Adegan crystal.
I would have one single-bladed purple lightsaber. I would be a Jedi, but be more aggressive with my lightsaber combat and force abilities, drawing from both light and dark side techniques. As Palpy himself once said, "If one is to understand the great mystery, one must study all its aspects, not just the dogmatic narrow view of the Jedi. If you wish to become a complete and wise leader, you must embrace a larger view of the force."
One minor issue - you crossed the Jedi Sentinels with the Jedi Shadows - they are two very different and distinct groups. Sentinels are the ones who are the bridge between Guardians and Consulars, and have side abilities like tech, tracking, etc. Shadows are the ones who focused on rooting out and destroying the Dark Side, and were sometimes not known to exist.
it is possibly, i can proove this because using powerful jedi with every single color in the rainbow, they use their own crystals to bind together using the force. this crystal would be EXTREMELY powerful.
The real origin of the purple lightsaber was Samuel L Jackson asking Lucas if he could have a purple lightsaber so he could stand out in the arena scene of Geonosis. It was used by jedi who wanted to stand out in a huge crowd, not ones connecting to the dark side.
Fail! It was mentioned in other sources before that, but Lucas made it officially in that way. Also Mace Windu was in end dark side using Jedi, so.. well, in ironic way yes, both answers are correct.
Well, it's pretty easy logic when you mix red with blue. But Samuel said he got purple that way, in interviews. Whether he was saying that for the sake of George or not I do not know.
skyguy7567 Yes, he could got it such way. But point is that purple sabers were in games already (Jedi Knight series for example), so that wasn't ad hoc, more like good occasion.
***** "he did not succumb to the darkside" No one said that. Experienced Jedi could use dark side of force, and only those who fail were swallowed by emotions and fall. "or use darkside techniques he just used that end of the force spectrum to enhance the power he could draw from the light" He clearly did. He use short burs of emotions (dark side) in some attacks, and then cool himself in others (based on light side ones). How you could use emotions to enchant techniques which need lack of emotion is beyond my imagination though? Point is that use of dark side wasn't prohibited for masters (some of them did that), just it was dangerous path so they mostly avoid that if they don't need or have talent for that.
K, so I came up with this wacky kind of lightsaber. It's built similarly to a double-bladed lightsaber, but only one blade can function at a time. I would have two of those, made out of durasteel, and one is a shoto, while the other is somewhat standard sized. They would have rigid grips on either end for one-handed use, and the rest of the hilt would be wrapped in leather for a comfortable two-handed grip. They would be yellow, mainly because that's my favorite color. However, I would be a Jedi Consular, not a Sentinal.
There is no dark side, nor a light side. There is only THE FORCE. I will do what I must to keep the BALANCE. There is SERENITY, Yet Emotion. CHAOS, Yet ORDER. I am the wielder of the flame, the protector of balance I am the holder of the torch. Lighting the way I am the keeper of the flame, soldier of balance I am a guardian of balance I am a Gray Jedi.
There is no emotion, there is peace. There is no ignorance, there is knowledge. There is no passion, there is serenity. There is no chaos, there is harmony. There is no death, there is force.
Lego Lord A lightsaber is also called a laser sword, and lasers also come in ultraviolet. The sun emits ultraviolet rays but they are not detectable by the human eye. Also starwars is in a galaxy far far away, how do you know what frequency of electromagnetic rays that galaxy's suns emit. If you didn't notice, I was joking
Throughout all of the quizzes I’ve done, I think it’s safe to say that a green baton saber is meant for me. The purpose of it is to have multiple ways of attack to disrupt the enemy and change my stance and offensive during the fight. It is also use as a fast, precision saber. However, due to the green crystal, I usually look to a peaceful option first. When looking at all Jedi with a green crystal. I would love to have qui gon as my master. Although you can’t pick your master, I feel like he would teach me the ways of the green crystal and how to become a Jedi master efficiently. He may also teach me to become a Jedi ghost after I have departed along with other Jedi’s such as Yoda, obi wan and Anakin Skywalker.
the reason mace windu used a purple lightsaber is because samuel jackson requested it because he likes purple. i dont remember him ever using any dark side powers.
He's fucking aressive....You think Master Yoda would have tried to execute the chancellor when he was on the floor...So yes he has a relation with the Dark force
Ben Baker Smh, Ashoka is the one who uses a white colored crystal. You just bashed one of the original Star Wars characters without even knowing. And to prove you wrong Tarkin made the Inquisitor behead two of the commanders, "kids show!"
Add another thing to white lightsabers (which I would use, sometimes in conjunction with a black lightsaber to mirror the dark and light sides): White lightsaber crystals are also created when a red lightsaber crystal is "healed", which is how Ahsoka got her lightsabers. Also, I have a question: what would happen if a Jedi purified a Bane's Heart crystal? Would it have the same properties? Or would have entirely new properties because it now has power in the lightside?
I really don't care, I like the EU and all, but I see why, the new movies should be approachable. Plus they didn't retcon them, they put them aside for their own canon, which I find understandable it's all in the favor of making a story we haven't seen before.
I think negotiation and combat are equally important, so I'd use an Orange lightsaber. The build would be that of Assaj Ventress, with the single blades that can merge into one double bladed saber.
Recent material makes it out that red crystals are naturally other colors until they’re corrupted by the dark side, typically the hate energy of the user. I personally like to headcanon that both varieties of red crystal exist. The synthetic variety being used by apprentices and Dark Jedi, especially old republic times where there was a fuck ton of Sith. The recent “bleeding” variety being used by true Sith Lords or other individuals with strong Dark Side connections.
Honestly, I’m not a fan of “bleeding” since it means the Sith will rely on the Jedi and nature. I prefer Sith making their own crystals proving they control and do not rely on nature.
The Dark Saber also appeared in the Force Unleashed video game, and in Force Unleashed 2 with the bonus effect of instantly disintegrating enemies. As I recall, it was revealed in Clone Wars that the Dark Saber was a primitive form of light saber from the earliest ages of the jedi order. As for its meaning, I think you hit the nail on the head with "loyalty to ones self" As for me, I'll take my purple single blade with a slightly longer handle to enable better two-handed wielding.
For me I'd have to have 2 curved dual phase lightsabers with an interesting design. One with a dark green blade, to symbolize my using of both the light and dark side of the force, and one being orangish blue to show that I'm both a sentinel and lightsaber specialist. I use these because I'm sort of a form 2/form 5 kind of guy.
Tempest Wing Not to mention the ones colored Burgundy, Mohagony, Pink, etc. There is literally a rainbow of colors for a Lightsaber. It's just, they're not very common~
Black, considering I don't like the idea of having to choose any side but my own. As far as the hilt goes? Make it like a claymore. Able to alternate between one hand and double hand use. Since lightsabers aren't as heavy as an actual sword, one handed would be easy enough. Would be able to alternate between extra swing power with two hands. Extra speed with one hand. Make the handguard out of cortosis.
Qu Rahn never officially used a gold lightsaber. He stole it from a dark jedi named Yun to fight jerec and his other dark jedi. Rahn actually used a green lightsaber before he was captured.
Kyrrim I have never heard of a female "Darth"... I would love to be a "Darth" :-D I thought the Empire prohibits female "Darth"s like the Army prohibits women in the infantry.
A single bladed yellow one would be my eventual goal, so I could hunt down the dark side as a sort of Jedi 007 Agent. Before that however I would focus on green in order to focus on becoming strong with the force.
+Tyler Crane u know that its says during the old republic my mandilorian ancestors attack the jedi temple and stole the black lightsaber making the black lightsaber a relic of the old republic and the rarest lightsaber and the black lightsaber gets collected in form the emperor in the final fight dark maul vs the emperor and the emperor collect the weapon making the greatest relic of the old republic before the clone wars where mandilorian people attacked and stole it form the temple where they were super greater then the jedi during that time
When I first saw Count Dooku's lightsaber, I thought, "his lightsaber looks a bit like a gun. I wonder if he could've modified it to project bursts of energy to hit targets outside the range of normal lightsaber combat?" Hence my idea to turn mine into a blaster/lightsaber combination.
+D3AD RAVEN I like the double bladed saber. being able to wield a pole arm with very long ends that can just chop off any limb of your body at any time just seems awesome.
I would have two sabers one with a slightly longer handle, dual phase function, and an orange blade that becomes yellow when shortened; and the other would have a curved hilt, dual phase setting, and a silver blade that turns purple when at secondary length.
Darth Cole if none of the Jedi/smith have it and it has not been spoken about if it was possible then at least 1 jedi/smith would have it so no it's not possible
What not being possible? If you are talking about the blade changing color when it changes length, Corran Horn's lightsaber does that, being silver when at standard length and purple when extended.
Every where I go people say shitty little breaking bad puns to me, Jesse couldn't take it anymore and ended up cutting his own throat, why Jesse? Why can't you do it to Walt jr
GamersrageFTW 132 Well black lightsabers don't exist anymore due to their style of building not being the same as our lightsabers, you'd have to be a force ghost to even have one in life
blue = jedi guardian, sword combat green = jedi consulant, force powers yellow = jedi sentinel, stealh red = sith, ruthlesness purple = strenght & dark+light side abillities orange = negotiation gold = strong light force bronze = powerfull stenght silver = calm & force focus white = singel minded, mercenary black = singel minded, self sumed them up for ya
Good and evil have always circled one another in an eternal dance. They balance each other...push and pull, life and death, yin and yang, Jedi and Sith. I would choose a purple lightsaber because of this. Two actually, both single-bladed but one being a shoto (a short lightsaber), similar to a samurai's katana and wakizashi. The lightsaber can be one or two handed, with the shoto just one handed. The hilts would be standard and of course have a cool, futuristic design but with some old-school flare (look up menuki and tsuka ito). Finally, they each would have a tsuba (guard) with a design to represent both sides of the Force.
the reason you get the color is because you meditate with your kyber crystal A LOT before building your lightsaber so it picks up on who you are & what your values are therefore once you build your lightsaber you get a color, you don't choose, another reason for a red blade is a sith will use the force to dominate a kyber crystal & bend it to their will causing the crystal to bleed giving the blade the red color, Kylo Ren took this a step further & cracked his crystal giving it a serrated look, I also have a little theory about purple blades, I think they turn purple after the user has established affiliations with both sides of the force, thank you for reading this comment, I know I may come off as a show off here but I am just filling in a few spots in the video & again, thank you for reading this comment have a great day........or night, whateves
and because it is serrated, or broken, cracked, whatever you want to call it, it needs the two cross guards to let off some extra steam, or melt the saber/combust
this video was uploaded almost five years ago, back when crystals had a predetermined color and that crystal's color is what gave the saber its color. you are correct NOW but back when this video was relevant no one would have any idea what you're saying and would chalk it up to nonsense. Hell, a few people probably would have screen capped your comment for their crazy conspiracy theories. although, those same people would be the one's laughing now I suppose.
Joseph Hartenberger Best way I can see of doing it would be to have a solid staff-like weapon with three small blades on prongs at one end. Stab like a lightsaber, but can't block like one
Lightsaber color is like Mandalorian armor color. Occasionally symbolic meanings were ascribed to their use, but more often than not it was personal preference and, in the case of lightsaber blade colors, based upon the availability of various types of focusing crystals. Adegan and Ilum crystals were the more popular crystals used by Jedi, Adegan because they were known to react to the Force and Ilum because the Jedi owned the world after which they drew their namesake --- hence why most of them were blue or green. Synthetic crystals were more often than not red in color, and Sith used them because of the very, very small possibility that a red synthetic crystal's blade would short out that of an opponent's. This almost never happened, but the mere possibility is why many Sith chose the labor intensive process of refining their own crystals using the Force. They were not always red, however, as Luke made his second lightsaber's focusing crystal out of a green synthetic crystal, following Jedi instruction manuals left behind by Obi-Wan Kenobi on Tatooine. There were tons of different types of crystals and gems used for lightsabers, their use often determined by their simple availability, though some of them had varying degrees of effectiveness in narrow applications. Bondar, Kaiburr, Corusca, Ruusan, Opila, Damind, Nextor, Phond, Stygium, and the extremely rare Quixoni crystals were just A FEW of the various types used, and the colors were as varied as were their relative effects on the blades' constitution. Meetra Surik even sported a one-of-a-kind crystal that was attuned to her specifically (even preventing Meetra's lightsaber from being used by individuals other than herself), and its appearance and nature depended upon her strength in the Force as well as her moral predilections. Some examples of common lightsaber colors: red, blue, green, yellow, purple, bronze, white, viridian... the list goes on. They're not really due to a chosen meaning, but due to the crystal used in its construction, more often than not the product of its respective user's personal preference rather than an overarching martial philosophy.
Two green-bladed one-handed double-bladed paired lightwhips. I could use the Force to make the blades stiff or flexible, having both a sword and a whip in one package. I could wield one single-bladed, one double-bladed, two single-bladed, two double-bladed, one long-handled single-bladed, or a saberstaff. The ultimate Jedi weapon!
I heard that Mace Windu had a purple light saber simply because Samual.L.Jackson just wanted that colour. He asked Goerge Lucas and Lucas said, 'Yeah, OK, I don't see why not'?.
Two single handed orange sabers but would primarily use one at a time. Only using both if necessary or for intimidation. Also each have a connector at the bottom of the hilt allowing it to be come a double-bladed if the situation required and would allow me to still use them individually if cut in the middle while connected.
Red, purple, yellow, green, and white. Because in my headcanon, colour does nothing. Also, reminding that Luke built A lightsaber. I doubt he cared about the colour, and made use of whatever he had.
+NotOrdinaryInGames Actually while color doesnt do nothing, where you get the crystal does, certain crystals provide a hotter blade, a stronger inclination to a certain side of the force, or indicate that the weilder has an almost transcendent mastery of the force
+stevenmael the color does well i geuss your right it only shows your way on the force in what style like green dosent do anything just says that your a jedi counciler and yeah like you said where you get it most matters
+Stacy Feaster im british so i spell it colour but i believe in the USA it is spelled color. another example of where British "english" (i say "english" because i dont know how else to describe it, seeing as i belive american was based on english but then the languages went down seperate paths from there, kinda like monkeys and humans acctually, starting as one and the same then going seperate ways.) and American "english" are different. another example is Honour (british) and Honor (USA i believe). also dont shout at me if im wrong just politly correct me please because i honestly dont know all that much about the specifics of america and american history.
4:10 Actually, Tera Sinube's lightsaber was a light-blue, with Dave Filoni clarifying it on Facebook. As for Corran Horn, it was silver, but he had a dual-phase function that allowed him to produced a three meter long purple blade.
a black bladed scythe type weapon, I write star wars fan fics and one character is Reaper who wields a black bladed scythe like lightsaber who slaughters force users.
I'd have to go with a silver lightsaber, even though I'd go beyond the typical calm-ness you described. I really like the design and I feel like it would fit well for Gray Jedis like myself. I've done a little research on the gem and it's created from Durindfire crystals on Tatooine. It seems not many were actually harvested and thus this type of lightsaber is highly possible. It'd also be similar to your lightsaber design, where I can switch between single and double handed.
I would go with yellow crystals in my straight grip lightsaber and shoto as my preferred character is a human/near-human Jedi Sentinel, prioritizing stealth and misdirection over pure power. My main style would be Makashi in the fashion of a traditional Renaissance fencer, but with concentrations in both Shien (blast deflection) and Niman (Jar'kai and integration of telekinesis in sequences). In addition I would also carry a meter-long walking stick made of cortosis weave, both as a non-lethal option that can deflect or disable a lightsaber and as a prop to disguise my Jedi status. No one expects the seemingly crippled old hobo to unleash a fresh can of whoopass on them and slip away into the shadows.
yes. in the 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars' show, there were two episodes basically telling you how a lightsaber worked and how the padawans found their crystals. It mentioned at one point that you can only see the crystal that belongs to you.
+Epix Tank Man So in a way if you know the meanings of the color crystals, when forming a lightsaber, you can predict what type of fighter you'll be...
A double purple, as I would be a grey Jedi personally, using the advantages of the dark over the light and the light advantages over the dark. And I also love the design of a double bladed, although it’s difficult, it’s badass.
Dual Wielding yellow lightsabers. I would dedicate myself to being a true and powerful Jedi Sentinel, delving deep into the underworld scum of the galaxy and bringing light where I go. The pair of yellow blades would constantly remind me even in the darkest of places, surrounded by the most sinister of characters, that there is always good to be found... and fought for.
dear god they day someone gaets is there death i mean you would fight self and at times think of this your destiny is to kill a sith lord but when take your light saber out the red brakes the blade but im preaty sure evry body would leave you alone i mean you realy want to fight with the most powerful guy in the universe ;badguy hey your ganna die ;you [pulls out lightsaber] ;badguy nope
I’d like a green light sabre that is double sided because I personally think that they are pretty bad ass and my favourite colour lightsaber is green but my real favourite colour is purple
A purple light saber with a curved hilt, single. Both the Sith and Jedi are equally oppressive, on the other hand in different areas so I'd imagine I myself would be someone who'd use both light and dark abilities along with the curved hilt which is supposedly able to help perform certain maneuvers. Single blade, as that's the easiest to learn and the easiest to master, along with leaving another hand open for quick and easy use of force powers if need be.
Purple. A a little darkness helps now and then. Generally the purest of the pure get forced into some self-sacrifice or get blind-sided by a traitor. Pure darkness wielders are notoriously selfish to a fault and often get killed by either their own kind or even by their own hand. It's a sign of strength to be willing to use light or darkness to further the greater good; embracing both sides is needed to control one's own connection to the Force.
If you truly are one with the dark side of the force you need not be ended by one of your kin. Also remember that we dark side users draw energy from passion, not just hatred or aggression, we at least can love, unlike you heartless Jedi.
Forkont Aerialis What? Whole idea of Sith was based on killing own master. They were sometimes more focused on killing themselves in order to be "strongest", then on fight with other enemies. Though you would be stupid if you attack someone stronger unprepared, and for that time you serve as drudge for they master. Of course you could also referee to fallen Jedi, but they were mostly insane and not "one with dark side" (what that even mean as Light/Dark side was artificial division). In fact Jedi also sometimes use dark side (Mace Windu) if they somehow obtain those skills, but Jedi simply not allow train those in order to avoid insanity.
Gaberiel Schrader So? Sabers colors aren't fixed stuff. Jedi chose most appropriate crustal to they skill, and what color it have in end is secondary issue.
The amusing thing is that most of the lightsaber colors do not have any particular meaning in the canon, and many have just propped up for arbitrary reasons. The only colors that appear in the original movies are red, blue, and green, and most explanations given in this video have no consistency, with frequent overlap that give really pool excuses for the color meanings. The only color added to the standard three by Lucas was purple, which was actually just a personal request by Samuel Jackson, because he wanted his character to stand out and purple is his favorite color. It's the same thing with all the various jedi cast designations; sentinel, guardian, and so on, which rose from computer games iirc. In practice they serve no real purpose, as combat skills and force abilities and powers mix in different known practitioners. Yoda and Dooku are two great example, who both exhibit the highest level of skill of both guardians and sentinels; being both swordmasters and wielding powerful force abilities. And ofc, there is always the funny black lightsabers... It sounds cool until you realize the practical reality of it. All and all, all these things are just superficial addons to something that really should not need it. The EU is interesting enough without such silliness.
I think it is very interesting that we like the meaning of the lightsaber colos, but in the TV Series "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" there was an episode were Master Yoda and Padawan Ahsoka Tano take a group of younglings to harvest the crystal that each will use to build their lightsaber. In this episode the explain that The Force guided each one to find their crystal, and trough means of The Force only them could see the crystal that was meant for them. That makes me wonder the following: Are Jedi predestine to a specific roll due to the color of their lightsaber, like those you explain in your video? And, what about those that have 2 lightsabers of 2 different colors like Ahsoka Tano? She has a green one and a yellow one (or maybe another similar color). You mentioned that Green Lightsabers belong to the Consul, but Ahsoka was never a member of the Consul while her first lightsaber was the green one. She actually got expelled from the Jedi Order because she was framed for a murder she didn't commit, and when her innocence was proven, she was asked to come back to the Order, but she refused, thus never becoming a Consul Member, and yet she used a green lightsaber. Also, General Grievous, who was a Sith, had 4 lightsabers (2 blue and 2 green). We know how he got them (by killing Jedi), but this goes to show that the colors seem to not have very much meaning after all, although I would very much like that they had a meaning deep like the ones described on this video. Thanks for your video, it was most educational to me.
It is not Jedi council members entitled to a green blade but Jedi Consulars. Lightsaber color is not a symbol of authority but a class. For example, Yellow=Jedi Sentinel, Blue=Jedi Guardian, and Green=Jedi Consular. With those who wield different lightsaber colors it means they have mastered multiple classes. The deal with General Grievous is that he cannot use the force. He works for the Separatists but is not a Sith himself. General Grievous uses fallen Jedi's lightsabers as a means of showing how many Jedi he has been able to kill. Hope this helps!
C_C_Syrup But how would you explain the crystal harvest? Won't every youngling get a different crystal that will have different colors when they build their lightsaber? Also, do you or anyone knows how and when Ahsoka got her yellow lightsaber? I mean, I saw all the episodes of the TV Series Clone Wars, and never saw how or when she got it. All I remember is that on one episode she had 1 lightsaber and the next episode she had 2 of them. That puzzled me.
i.rodriguez The younglings have a limited choice of crystals because some are very rare . The usual choices are green, blue, yellow and sometimes purple and orange because those are the 3/4/5 classes. Jedi have more freedom with force crystals once they become older and can search for other rarer crystals. The deal with Ahsoka's lightsabers confuses me too.
Consular is a type of Jedi that relies more on the Force than lightsaber combat, this should not be confused with the Jedi Council. Ahsoka is strong in the Force, but like Anakin chose to focus on saber combat. Shes is one of the few that uses a crystal color used by knights & one used by consulars. General Grevious was not a Stih in any manner or meaning. With that said, he was a cyborg & due to his new natural (cybernetic) abilities Dooku Trained him to use a lightsaber & that it disgusting that Grevious used four. Grevious was mainly trained in lightsaber combat for the purpose of killing Jedi; he was a weapon of the CIS. The Force does guide one to his crystal & color based on that user's abilities, but it is more like the Sorting Hat from Harry Potter. The Force isn't the only thing guiding them to that crystal, the process can also be influenced by the user. This would be in the case of Anakin, he is really powerful in the Force, but instead chose to be more combat oriented. This influenced him getting a blue vs a green crystal. Most users who have the rarer colors like purple do not start out necessarily being able to use both the light & dark, but naturally gain the ability to harness both sides & therefore may seek a purple as they do not naturally grow on Ilum. Jedi tend to use the Lightside & are apart of the Jedi Order, Gray Jedi have a tendency to use the Light & Dark Sides w/ no affiliation to the Jedi Order, Dark Jedi use the Dark Side while having no affiliation to the Sith Order, Sith use the Dark Side & are affiliated to the Sith Order. The Sith Order started as Dark Jedi who broke from the early Jedi Order (mainly due to philosophical differences; ruling over vs protecting) & found the culture of Sith Purebloods on Korriban. They then adopted this culture, thus becoming the Sith we know & love (or hate).
Duel Wield Violet Color Reason: Balance. Choosing one side over the other is narrow minded. Kreia points out the flaws in exclusively choosing one side over the other quite well. Duel Wield Reason: To effectivly duel wield you must be dextrous, and this is, in my experience, the best warrior. Speed over Power. You see it all the time in any melee scenario. That being said, the best fights are a combination of force and melee. Being nimble enough to get the advantage, and keep it over your opponent. Using detraction to knock them off balance. Being deceptive in your attacks. All require great dexterity. Oh...and in most games that have duel wield..you get far superior attribute buffs. : P
Dual wield (not duel) fails on every aspect. It was never done historically, which tells you it's an idiotic concept for sword fighting. If you don't have a shield in one hand (which Jedi don't), then it's better to assume a two-handed grip and use your one weapon to defend yourself. Flailing lightsabers around all badass would not work in reality.
First thank you for the correction. :3 Second it was used historically, just not as a main widely used form. It was taught in Japan, Europe, the Philippines, Mongolia, Egypt, China, and Thailand. It was very rare, and situational to use two weapons. Third, this is fantasy dude. Yes in real life it falls short due to a shield's superior ability to defend. Force senstives have god-like reflexes due to Force augmentation and/or perception. Deflecting blaster bolts is imposable in real life, yet it is a staple of the SW universe. Historicaly some specail few could deflect arrows, but if you take into account the velocity of a blaster bolt would be exponentially higher, you quickly see that it would be imposable. You're really going to argue about reality? C'mon.
IronRooRoo I'm doing Eskrima and we usually dual-wield - beats Kenjutsu all the way (and it's battle proven in WW2). But I think dual-wielding lightsabers wouldn't be effective though. As a parry sword on the left hand I would wield a cortosis blade (not the cheap cortosis-weave swords) - it shortcuts lightsabers ;) see here: bit.ly/1B6x4XL
And dual lightsabers could help to defend against multiple opponents, giving you the upper hand. Meanwhile, with two lightsabers you could lose control if you are a beginner trying out complicated strikes.
I would be able to attach my sabers together to create a stuff and detach to duel wield...but I favor darkside powers So Black and red or Black and purple. My power crystals would be kryatdragon pearls due to giving more darkside power. I would'nt believe in abstainig from having sex or doing what I feel like doing.
My sith character that I created uses two kinds of light sabers. His primary is his single bladed saber, who's shape is very unique to fit in the hand. (Ultrasabers monarch) however, if that proves not to be efficient enough, he taps into the full fury of the dark side of the force, switching to his Tonfa sabers and will completely literate the opponent with a barrage of stabs, slashes, and ancient force powers, such as the force shout. (Ultrasabers brood guard)
Watching this in 2020 xD Anyway I want to confirm Corran Horn uses a silver lightsaber which has unique ability to shorten and lengthen the length of the saber. I read the novels.. particularly that awesome duel Corran did to save a planet in the Yuuzhan Vong war.
I know that like 80% of this is no longer canon but I love this video
It's canon if you accept Legends as the only canon.
same
Good times. "Thanks", Disney.
It is canon, I don't care what the mouse says.
@@HJCZB1999I second that.
Purple makes sense with both sides.
Red and blue make purple
❤️➕💙➖💜
Red Heart plus Blue Heart plus Purple Heart... equals even more Purple Hearts!
Red plus blue minus purple, so no color? That’s like 1+2-3=0 🤔
The more you know......
Uh big brain moment
ctually that does make sense
At first I would've gone with red as my color, but seeing most of my favorite Star Wars characters using blue, I'd definitely go with that. Obi-Wan Kenobi!
Blue all the way!!! I don't get the shift toward favoritism for the Sith in this culture.
Ethan Frost but Sith are always cool looking. Look at Darth Vader, or Darth Nilus
Yeah, sure, VENGEFUL VADUM H2. That's a great reason to support them. Maybe I'm just taking my hobby too seriously.
Star Wars HQ obi wan also has a green light saber
Desmond Reyes no he does not
0:24 - Blue
0:54 - Green
1:22 - Yellow
1:56 - Red
2:52 - Purple
3:21 - Orange
3:40 - Gold
3:51 - Bronze

Helen Drill Sword
Poem? Why, it's the Sith Code. And yes, tints vary from wielder to wielder.
***** Hmmm, so I think I might have to be a rogue Jedi, and just not be a part of the Jedi Council, and protect whoever I want to however I want to. Thank you for responding to my comment!
Helen Drill Sword
I think that'd be called a "Grey Jedi" - someone who is neither Dark nor Light side, staying in a Force neutral zone, where they don't abide by the Jedi or the Sith tenets.
What about Exar Kun or Ulic Qel-Droma
So true!
also he's a jedi killer sabers are his teophy
+Austin LastName (ThePineAppleGamer) yes he uses his trophy as his weapon
Lol
How Disney might see this topic: boys blue lightsabres, giels pink lightsaber.
none are real lol
+Yuma Tsukumo Magenta was a color at one point but not in any films
Lol
+Jamiez stop motions light saver??!!??!??
yep
There's actually an exception to the red lightsaber crystals growing naturally. Darth Vader's lightsaber originally had a red synthetic crystal, but he would later switch it with a rare crimson Adegan crystal.
I'd just have an ordinary red lightsaber, simply because it's synthetic and I'm a cheap bastard who won't make the trip to the far off planet.
ROTFL! XD
lol
I'd go with yellow cause it looks the coolest in my opinion, and being a spy also sounds pretty badass.
+Matthew Henry Ye me too :D
Same
+Matthew Henry same
+Matthew Henry Badass is being Starkiller with white and black light saber
I would have a silver light saber because I'm calm and it would be double bladed
still watching this in 2019 and soon to be 2020 xD
I'm here after Rise of Skywalker to know Rey's lightsaber meaning
Dan the man same
Yea
Aye lmao XD
Rey's lightsaber means three terrible movies.
If you wish to become a complete and wise leader, you must embrace a larger view of the force."
selfish one I see
ok wannabe mace windu.
Definitely!
So ur bassiclly mace windu.
Bros quoting the most evil man in starwars and wants to be a jedi
One minor issue - you crossed the Jedi Sentinels with the Jedi Shadows - they are two very different and distinct groups. Sentinels are the ones who are the bridge between Guardians and Consulars, and have side abilities like tech, tracking, etc. Shadows are the ones who focused on rooting out and destroying the Dark Side, and were sometimes not known to exist.
they both use yellow though
True, but he labeled them both as Sentinels which is wrong.
Rainbow colored saber with a unicorn horn hilt FTW!
I dub thee....Darth Dash
thanks for the chuckle bro
How is that even physically possible with the kyber crystals
it is possibly, i can proove this because using powerful jedi with every single color in the rainbow, they use their own crystals to bind together using the force. this crystal would be EXTREMELY powerful.
or extremely unstable, depending on the proficiency of the crafter.
Whether he was saying that for the sake of George or not I do not know.
skyguy7567
Yes, he could got it such way. But point is that purple sabers were in games already (Jedi Knight series for example), so that wasn't ad hoc, more like good occasion.
Eh, probably. Samuel could have gotten that idea from that too. But really, don't think the purple saber would have existed in anything official.
*****
"he did not succumb to the darkside"
No one said that. Experienced Jedi could use dark side of force, and only those who fail were swallowed by emotions and fall.
"or use darkside techniques he just used that end of the force spectrum to enhance the power he could draw from the light"
He clearly did.
Lighting the way I am the keeper of the flame, soldier of balance I am a guardian of balance
I am a Gray Jedi.
There is no emotion, there is peace.
There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.
There is no passion, there is serenity.
There is no chaos, there is harmony.
There is no death, there is force.
Nnnno, you are just a Revan wannabe. :P
No you're not a grey Jedi your a gamer....
No there is only the galactic empire and your skull being smashed
You're
The meaning behind purple lightsabers is that Sam Jackson wanted to look cooler than the other Jedi since he was the only good actor in the prequels.
+AspectZ yup
Ewan Mcgregor is still awesome
Camo McSwiggins
true
+Slug Kingsly, Natalie Portman?
What abou the guy who played obiwan?
my lightsaber would be ultraviolet, so my enemies will never see it coming
God damnit Electron :D
Hutts, Kamionians, possibly Miraluka and Force sight users can see the ultraviolet colour spectrum.
Cristopher Pérez why must you ruin the fun with your obscure knowledge?
i don't think you can even HAVE a ultra violet light saber and the sun gives of ultra violet rays so they would only SEE it coming
3 whole months and still no one cares
the reason mace windu used a purple lightsaber is because samuel jackson requested it because he likes purple.
i dont remember him ever using any dark side powers.
But he was VERY willing to kill Palpatine, and straight up killing is somewhat dark, even if he was a Sith.
Warrior Sloth
so was yoda.
was he dark too?
Well then they had to make a meaning for it so Lucas and his team just made some stuff up and called it good
Justin Curtis
it wasnt lucas and his team. it was other people who made up meanings. there is nothing in the canon saying what the meaning is, if any.
He's fucking aressive....You think Master Yoda would have tried to execute the chancellor when he was on the floor...So yes he has a relation with the Dark force
I''d have a quintuple-sided rainbow colored lightsaber with a built in Skittle dispenser in case I got hungry.
bong, that shoots the beam out the top if you stuff it wrong. also optical illusion colored. or maybe purple, cause im black and love grape soda.
In a Star Wars Rebels video it said that the white colored crystals are used by people that aren't Jedi nor Sith.
Kids show? Ok....
Ben Baker Smh, Ashoka is the one who uses a white colored crystal. You just bashed one of the original Star Wars characters without even knowing. And to prove you wrong Tarkin made the Inquisitor behead two of the commanders, "kids show!"
Ben Baker Because Clone Wars was obviously for grown-ups. Besides...Clone Wars' Filoni makes this show, alongside Greg Weisman.
Mongward Clone Wars was made for grown-ups? You're kidding me right? You seriously have to be joking.
Beezinthetrap Nicki
I thought that was obvious.
Add another thing to white lightsabers (which I would use, sometimes in conjunction with a black lightsaber to mirror the dark and light sides):
White lightsaber crystals are also created when a red lightsaber crystal is "healed", which is how Ahsoka got her lightsabers.
Also, I have a question: what would happen if a Jedi purified a Bane's Heart crystal? Would it have the same properties? Or would have entirely new properties because it now has power in the lightside?
That's Disney's new cannon . This video was made before following what we now call legends
@@pieprincess5778 oh right
For me, a blue double bladed lightsaber that can split into 2 sabers and also work as 1 saber!!!
a friend of mine wants precisely the same exact lightsaber as you
That's a good choice.
David Fernandes here we are 2 years later and cal uses that exact same design saber in the new fallen order game
David Fernandes Jedi fallen order 😳
This was the beginning
I would take a purple lightsaber because I'm thinking neutral about the different sides of the force.
And I would take an double lightsaber because 2 > 1.
+Mirkan Duvarci not all the time
+Doughboy Quan But you could also use only one blade.
Mirkan Duvarci Blade? What?
+Doughboy Quan I'm talking about the lightstaff with two laserblades.
Wrong, Mace Windu's lightsaber was purple because his favourite drink was grape drank
That's not true actually he wanted his purple so he could know where he was in the battles as purple stands out but in Star Wars lore the vid is true
ethan dienert dang calm down XD that why THE COLOUR is purple not why and what it means idiot
False, in the lore he had perfect vision, instead he enjoyed drink grape drank with his fried chicken that's why he chose purple
Laughed my ass off. Grape kool aid
Kappa Pasterino what? i didn't say anything about his vision -.-
I come back to this video all the time, ever since I first saw it when I was six, thanks for making this Evan!
Single red blade lightsaber to I can cut down mickey mouse for killing the EU
Ikr
+Qeusen Still EU is not canon anymore X(
+Lego Fan you suck not eu
I really don't care, I like the EU and all, but I see why, the new movies should be approachable. Plus they didn't retcon them, they put them aside for their own canon, which I find understandable it's all in the favor of making a story we haven't seen before.
yeah yeah original movies and stuff but they didn't need to CANCEL ALL OF EU THEY JUST COULD CANCEL EVERYTHING AFTER EPISODE 6
Purple Lightsaber true meaning
I wanna see myself in the Battle of Geononsis nothing more but Sam L Jackson wanting to see himself during the movie
Actually the reason mace windu is because he told George Lucas he wanted a purple saber.
Yeah, the actor who played Mace always has something purple on him. It's his favorite color.
+Spark1383 All these theories about the purple lightsaber, and it all started because it was Samuel Jackson's favorite color. Lol.
+Shadow Draws no he wanted it that you can see him in big battles .. not that he is black or something
+Freeszore That was my very first theory that I scrapped in five seconds xD
Shadow Draws why? :D
Carlos D Rodriguez Ironic, I pretty much have the same headcanon.
Honestly, I’m not a fan of “bleeding” since it means the Sith will rely on the Jedi and nature. I prefer Sith making their own crystals proving they control and do not rely on nature.
Single bladed curved hilt green light saber. I've always loved the idea if being a consular. Using more force training before and during a battle
Oh I see why mace windu uses purple, because he's on the light side... But also dark 🌝😏 geddit 👨🏿
Haahahahahahahah
+Ben Hunt-Deol I'm pretty sure that's racist...
Hey I'm not the one discriminating
He's the one who chose purple
+Ben Hunt-Deol It's purple because Sam Jackson wanted to be able to spot himself in a fight scene...Because you know he doesn't stick out at all
+ShockwaveITB yeah cause all three black people in the star wars universe do not stick out.......
After 10 years still a great video
The Dark Saber also appeared in the Force Unleashed video game, and in Force Unleashed 2 with the bonus effect of instantly disintegrating enemies. As I recall, it was revealed in Clone Wars that the Dark Saber was a primitive form of light saber from the earliest ages of the jedi order. As for its meaning, I think you hit the nail on the head with "loyalty to ones self"
As for me, I'll take my purple single blade with a slightly longer handle to enable better two-handed wielding.
+Daniel Gilmore The Dark Saber is awesome!
In the clone wars series didn't the mandalorian specifically say it wasn't a light saber but rather a laser sword or something like that?
+Daniel Gilmore If you declare the darksaber is yours then it will loyal to you.
Selfter
in it's first appearance in season 2, he literally said "This ancient lightsaber has slain many jedi"
There's also the Cyan colored lightsaber and the Viridian colored lightsaber.
In a role-playing guide, it was stated that Yoda gave him a gold lightsaber.
Wasn’t..... wasn’t that Kyle Karan (May have forgot his name)
you mean Kyle Katarn?
@@TheMudKip-ff2tb Kyle Katarn used Qu Rahn's green blade that his father, Morgan Katarn, gave to him.
Don't the eternal twins from old republic use gold too? I know they look yellow but I'd like to think they were gold.
Red, because I long to be a Sith Lord ;) You will all soon know the power of the Dark Side!
Why just a lord when you could be a Darth? Where's your ambition? :P
Kyrrim
I have never heard of a female "Darth"... I would love to be a "Darth" :-D I thought the Empire prohibits female "Darth"s like the Army prohibits women in the infantry.
***** Darth Phobose is a female Sith she is the same race as Darth Maul
Bryan Delfino
I didn't know that :)
well now you do lol im glad to tell you that
A single bladed yellow one would be my eventual goal, so I could hunt down the dark side as a sort of Jedi 007 Agent. Before that however I would focus on green in order to focus on becoming strong with the force.
+Tyler Crane Mine would be the Black lightsaber.
+Tyler Crane The name's Bond....Jedi Bond *007 theme*
+Tyler Crane I wanted to embrace the power of the darkside but guardian of the light, so maybe purple for me
+Tyler Crane i would do the same thing but i would have a single bladed one with a bit of a hand guard if i were to build my own
+Tyler Crane u know that its says during the old republic my mandilorian ancestors attack the jedi temple and stole the black lightsaber making the black lightsaber a relic of the old republic and the rarest lightsaber and the black lightsaber gets collected in form the emperor in the final fight dark maul vs the emperor and the emperor collect the weapon making the greatest relic of the old republic before the clone wars where mandilorian people attacked and stole it form the temple where they were super greater then the jedi during that time
I would like a Pink one instead. That'll strike fear into my enemies for sure >:3
LOL
Really?
Shinigami Sama Damn right!
MERICA
Yes... And be known theoughout the galaxy as Darth Kenny
You my friend, defined my love of star wars and childhood, I salute to you sir, you earn my deepest respect. 😁
Purple, cause I have perfect balance between the light and dark side
NohonstoleMyName purple is still slightly tilted towards Jedi. I recommend white.
Just a plain blue, single-bladed lightsaber. Might seem boring but hell, it just looks so slick and epic
You're the only one in the comment section who's not crazy with double bladed sabers and curved shit. And yes, single bladed blue sabers look sick.
+D3AD RAVEN I like the double bladed saber.
being able to wield a pole arm with very long ends that can just chop off any limb of your body at any time just seems awesome.
+D3AD RAVEN I want a seven bladed light saber so when I try to stab someone I stab myself first. Oh and don't forget the cross guard.
+Jake Therien Star Wars Episode 7.5 confirmed! Kylo V.2's new saber!
+Artameful very true. I thought double bladed sabers were a little weird but now I think they're sick!
Just re-found this video after years and years. Still a great video!
I would have two sabers one with a slightly longer handle, dual phase function, and an orange blade that becomes yellow when shortened; and the other would have a curved hilt, dual phase setting, and a silver blade that turns purple when at secondary length.
sjaws99 that not being possible
Darth Cole if none of the Jedi/smith have it and it has not been spoken about if it was possible then at least 1 jedi/smith would have it so no it's not possible
Charlie Green I would have one purple saber and one bronze
What not being possible? If you are talking about the blade changing color when it changes length, Corran Horn's lightsaber does that, being silver when at standard length and purple when extended.
sjaws99 I would have a darksaber and a darkdagger
I'd have yellow cos the whole thing about undercover Jedi is awesome
I thought your favorite color was blue, Walter. :)
Every where I go people say shitty little breaking bad puns to me, Jesse couldn't take it anymore and ended up cutting his own throat, why Jesse? Why can't you do it to Walt jr
then maybe dumbass dont put your name as walter white
GamersrageFTW 132 Well black lightsabers don't exist anymore
due to their style of building not being the same as our lightsabers,
you'd have to be a force ghost to even have one in life
blue = jedi guardian, sword combat
green = jedi consulant, force powers
yellow = jedi sentinel, stealh
red = sith, ruthlesness
purple = strenght & dark+light side abillities
orange = negotiation
gold = strong light force
bronze = powerfull stenght
silver = calm & force focus
white = singel minded, mercenary
black = singel minded, self
sumed them up for ya
Can't believe this video is 10 years old now
Double Purple blade that can detach into two because I want to use both dark and light side techniques.
Notster07 hah same. just hope you'd be a sith..
Legit george lucas said the only reason there was a purple lightsaber is because sam L. Jackson wanted purple.
I'd choose purple because I can't make up my mind.
+Notster07 that would be the one which I'd choose too
+Notster07 Same, but curved hilted like Ventres's lightsabers
+Sebastian Wittmann You sensed correctly lol. Love that show.
rainbow colour. because I'm gay
+tyler chapman gold
Slay
lmao 😂😂😂😂
cool
+tyler chapman 😂😂😂
You know, this is always the video I refer to when discusses Star Wars, no matter what canon there is, I live this channel and the original meanings
the reason you get the color is because you meditate with your kyber crystal A LOT before building your lightsaber so it picks up on who you are & what your values are therefore once you build your lightsaber you get a color, you don't choose, another reason for a red blade is a sith will use the force to dominate a kyber crystal & bend it to their will causing the crystal to bleed giving the blade the red color, Kylo Ren took this a step further & cracked his crystal giving it a serrated look,
I also have a little theory about purple blades, I think they turn purple after the user has established affiliations with both sides of the force, thank you for reading this comment, I know I may come off as a show off here but I am just filling in a few spots in the video & again, thank you for reading this comment have a great day........or night, whateves
That's what i heard about the red light sabers too
and because it is serrated, or broken, cracked, whatever you want to call it, it needs the two cross guards to let off some extra steam, or melt the saber/combust
this video was uploaded almost five years ago, back when crystals had a predetermined color and that crystal's color is what gave the saber its color. you are correct NOW but back when this video was relevant no one would have any idea what you're saying and would chalk it up to nonsense. Hell, a few people probably would have screen capped your comment for their crazy conspiracy theories. although, those same people would be the one's laughing now I suppose.
日番谷冬獅郎 I've never heard of that, was it in Rebels or something?
日番谷冬獅郎 z
Can we all agree how cool a trident shaped light saber would be?
agreed
Forkont Aerialis I don't know
Joseph Hartenberger Best way I can see of doing it would be to have a solid staff-like weapon with three small blades on prongs at one end. Stab like a lightsaber, but can't block like one
I would use the a double lightsaber with the colors red and blue u know like the double blade like maul uses
Thats impossible
Jesse Parish I remember seeing concept art of that from the force awakens
Curved Green. A symbol of elegance, and discipline. While also emphasizing force abilities.
interesting choice
triple bladed multi coloured ( Gold green and purple ) ha it would look really cool.
actually that would be pretty awesome
I would have a single purple lightsaber (Maybe double not sure) But purple because I would use both techniques because that's just me.
Docioa Docioa nice ide be purple too but dual wielding because that's my style
Docioa Docioa SAME! :)
same and curved hilts like dooku
I would use purple as well following the path of a grey jedi.
Mace Windus association with the dark side was that he was black.
Deam you Racist jedi!
God damn it man
+Kap Bab That's fucking cold
that's brilliant 😂😂
iooi youre absolutely right. Also like their fascination with grape soda and purple drank.
No matter the quality, no matter the age.
This will always be my favourite lighsaber video ever
A 3m long lightsaber attached to a 6.9 inch caliber grenade laucher
Oh and two extra curved white sabers with magnetic ends
Uffle 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
What kind of grenades would u be shooting?
Kristoffer Sana mini nukes
Two green-bladed one-handed double-bladed paired lightwhips. I could use the Force to make the blades stiff or flexible, having both a sword and a whip in one package. I could wield one single-bladed, one double-bladed, two single-bladed, two double-bladed, one long-handled single-bladed, or a saberstaff. The ultimate Jedi weapon!
Who coming back to this video 9 years later
Me 😁 ✋
i would have a double bladed curved white light saber cause it looks cool
TheOne CalledJack same
sorry I would have yellow
purple lightsaber is really badass, i'd like one!
WoW! I took the quiz and i got purple! (that was after i wrote that comment) I Guess those colors have a meaning behind them after all.
+Bolek Lolek theres a test ?
just google lightsaber color quiz, the one i took was on buzzfeed
+Bolek Lolek i recommend doing muiltiple, if memory serves me correctly, buzzfeed was that great
I got purple as well. it's cool because that is my favorite light saber
Also each have a connector at the bottom of the hilt allowing it to be come a double-bladed if the situation required and would allow me to still use them individually if cut in the middle while connected.
lightsaber cannon (cannon that fires lightsabers) and rainbow colored ammo
He said so he can switch between one handed and single handed.
Read the description
Red, purple, yellow, green, and white. Because in my headcanon, colour does nothing.
Also, reminding that Luke built A lightsaber. I doubt he cared about the colour, and made use of whatever he had.
+NotOrdinaryInGames Actually while color doesnt do nothing, where you get the crystal does, certain crystals provide a hotter blade, a stronger inclination to a certain side of the force, or indicate that the weilder has an almost transcendent mastery of the force
color not colour
+Stacy Feaster I prefer the british spelling.
Double purple light saber, have to be slightly darkside
They too cool
+Coppercrusader why even go there?😂
Same i would have it detachable so i can have 2 and one double headed one I NEED THe SITH ABBILITIeS
+Katia Rivera i would have 1 double bladed blue lightsaber and 1 double bladed green lightsaber.
+Tyler Keilman i was thinking the exact same thing
a black bladed scythe type weapon, I write star wars fan fics and one character is Reaper who wields a black bladed scythe like lightsaber who slaughters force users.
his role model was Darth maul because he barely relied on the force but was extremely skilled with a lightsaber.
thats a very interesting character you should keep working on it
I'd have to go with a silver lightsaber, even though I'd go beyond the typical calm-ness you described.
I agree but I like the curved handle better but yours sounds cool too
TheMrGhostastic hmm... so what color would your lightsaber be? Silver as well?
+Past Analysis yeah cause I feel like I would fit with the gray Jedi's
TheMrGhostastic Same ^^
Actually, on second thought, I think I'd go with a white lightsaber instead. I just like the color more.
I rewatch this video once a year.
No one expects the seemingly crippled old hobo to unleash a fresh can of whoopass on them and slip away into the shadows.
that's pretty cool
I would go with the yellow crystal and maybe purple, blue, or black which ever looks better.
Did you happen to work your wrist of King with your pecker of King
lol
What would the color pink mean for a lightsaber? hmmm.
If I was a Jedi I would have duel teal or purple lightsabers with my Energy sword.
Wait wasn't there something about the crystal chooses the Jedi not the Jedi chooses the crystal? Idk I remember something like that
yes. in the 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars' show, there were two episodes basically telling you how a lightsaber worked and how the padawans found their crystals. It mentioned at one point that you can only see the crystal that belongs to you.
+Epix Tank Man So in a way if you know the meanings of the color crystals, when forming a lightsaber, you can predict what type of fighter you'll be...
Harry Potter??
Bardock ' maybe the crystal know more about you then you do
+Bean Then what about the Jedi who become sith later ? The red crystal being synthetic, how could a crystal predict it ? By being Purple maybe ?
A double purple, as I would be a grey Jedi personally, using the advantages of the dark over the light and the light advantages over the dark. And I also love the design of a double bladed, although it’s difficult, it’s badass.
Dual Wielding yellow lightsabers. I would dedicate myself to being a true and powerful Jedi Sentinel, delving deep into the underworld scum of the galaxy and bringing light where I go. The pair of yellow blades would constantly remind me even in the darkest of places, surrounded by the most sinister of characters, that there is always good to be found... and fought for.
Awesome words coming from a guy with a Goku profile photo on a Star Wars video - this made my day!
TheGospelgamer Well as a Saiyan Jedi I aim to please! :D
i would be single bladed with rainbow colours XD
because i would like to use all techniques and i would like the handle to be curved
u should dual wield and have DOUBLE RAINBOWS!
but every time you bring it out you must scream "fabulous"
dear god they day someone gaets is there death i mean you would fight self and at times think of this your destiny is to kill a sith lord but when take your light saber out the red brakes the blade but im preaty sure evry body would leave you alone i mean you realy want to fight with the most powerful guy in the universe ;badguy hey your ganna die ;you [pulls out lightsaber] ;badguy nope
Fabulous!
you forgot darth revan in red and purple
DGFigs no reven also used blue when he was a Jedi before becoming a sith
he also forgot Meetra Surik. (Similar to Revan)
heroman588 no
DGFigs i was just about to write that
Dylan G and darth Bane
I’d like a green light sabre that is double sided because I personally think that they are pretty bad ass and my favourite colour lightsaber is green but my real favourite colour is purple
Double bladed purple. Mostly because I love the powers of the dark side but I don't want to be evil and I like ten double blade look
Or I would have two long hilt (at least 2 feet) purples for the range
They are REALLY hard to use though. Some Jedi/ sith chop limbs off when trying to use them
What? The long hilt
damn it... me too😧
Orange, the sentinel is very much my style. One handed with a basket-hilt made of the same material as vibroblades.
same here
Yeah, orange all the way. Besides the Sentinel being awesome, I also have a theory that orange is used by more skilled and experienced sentinels.
Also, I would have a single bladed lightsaber which I could also use as a reverse grip lightsaber.
Bazmandoo 22 kind of an odd fighting style. I myself am experienced at fencing so I would probably fight with a stab oriented fighting style.
nice that's the kind of Jedi my brother would be but would wield two yellow lightsabers
A purple light saber with a curved hilt, single. Both the Sith and Jedi are equally oppressive, on the other hand in different areas so I'd imagine I myself would be someone who'd use both light and dark abilities along with the curved hilt which is supposedly able to help perform certain maneuvers. Single blade, as that's the easiest to learn and the easiest to master, along with leaving another hand open for quick and easy use of force powers if need be.
same purple
Black Red Lightsaber :P Because it look badass :D
That´s my opinion, too.
Quin lin Vos was known for using some dark arts in fighting but he had green
I appreciate the speculation at the colors not touched upon much at all. Thanks for this!
That makes me wonder the following:
Are Jedi predestine to a specific roll due to the color of their lightsaber, like those you explain in your video?
C_C_Syrup
But how would you explain the crystal harvest?
C_C_Syrup
Thanks for clarifying that for me.
Hopefully somebody will shed light on the Ahsoka's lightsaber topic.
For me pink, the gay side of the force is strong within me.
lol
in that case might i suggest the rainbow lightsaber then?
ahahah
Duel Wield Violet
Color Reason: Balance.
Second it was used historically, just not as a main widely used form.
Watching this in 2020 xD
Anyway I want to confirm Corran Horn uses a silver lightsaber which has unique ability to shorten and lengthen the length of the saber.
I read the novels.. particularly that awesome duel Corran did to save a planet in the Yuuzhan Vong war.
