Remember me CP? I told you so. I was the only guy defending Vientos early on. I knew he was gonna be a Star because of his HR power and he reminded me a lanky young Carlos Beltran before he signed with the Mets. He needs to put on muscle and swallow creatine. If he grows his 6'4" 185 lbs frame to 210-220 he'll have more power than Soto. I think our arguments helped convince you a lil bit.
Agreed always room for improvement but in comparison to where I thought he was at defensively prior to the season starting vs. now… im very satisfied personally! Thanks for tuning in it means a lot.
Always diving for balls when he shouldn't have to was Derek Jeter's whole gimmick and he fooled everyone into believing that he was an All Star Gold Glove shortstop when statistically he's been proven to be the worst defensive shortstop in history.

It takes a lot of hard work to progress the way Vientos has. Enjoyed the player spotlight CP. Thank you. LETS GO METS!
Thank for tapping into this episode! Mark Vientos 100% deserves everything he is doing this season - hard work does indeed pay off.

Nice breakdown. He could improve a little defensively. He is below average as a 3B defender, always diving at balls because he lacks anarobic range

Rob Manfred should be replaced. He is incompetent.
