Major props to pipan, the art is absolutely fantastic. Only flaw is that Rayman is in his modern design rather than his classic, which doesn’t make much sense considering the setting of the game. Otherwise, great stuff.

I had an idea, this game takes place before Rayman 2 yeah? It would be cool if this is the game where he learns to swim. I'm sure Ubisoft already has an explanation as to why he can't swim in the first game, but it would be a nice touch.
I wasn't really planning on explaining that, though if I had to, I could think of something (he washed up on shore with no memories in his Rayman 2 origin story, so he could be afraid of it). That's kind of lame though so I'll probably just leave it.

Will you add stuff from origins and legends? Such as locations, enemies, characters etc? And are any locations from previous games returning?
Also will Rayman know Globox from the start or will he meet him here? And will he be red or blue? In origins is was revealed that he was originally red (a member of the Red Wizards) but became blue after a blue mosquito bit him. It would make sense to have Rayman meet Globox here, since he wasn't in Rayman 1 at all.

Hey, It's PolishBoy again. I know Adsolution that you don't anwser questions like that, but I want to know just one, little thing about ROTD. I heard that this fangame will be like Rayman Revolution for PS2. I understand that you can't promise when fangame will be ready, or when it gonna come out, but is it ever will be ready? Will it gonna be continued, even after Rayman 4?

Maybe you think I'm nuts If I'm saying this, but I want you story of development of this game.
It all begin somewhere in 2009. Adsolution begin making her own fan game of Rayman, which took events between 1 and 2 game. Originaly it was meant to be released in 2012 with help of Ubisoft. But because of that, work on fan game was still continued this long, that even today noneone knows when this wiil come out. I saw at Badman Revievs some early cutscenes presenting voice acting with Rhook and Dark Rayman, and I can't find them. I also saw some models, concept art, soundtrack videos, but I haven't seen any enemy design, other cutscenes, characters, storyline, gameplay elements. Not metioning that I haven't nothing new since last year. I'm sorry If I will break some of your feelings with my words but... I THINK WE NEVER GONNA PLAY: "RAYMAN: REVENGE OF THE DARK".
P.S.- Dear Adsolution, If you gonna read this comment, I'm sorry if i masę a mistake in it about ROTD. I am also specialy sorry if you feel bad because of me. I'm not angry at your work. I think your fan game is incredible, and you want to make it even better than Rayman Revolution, and I sure it will be the best Rayman fan game ever. But with this development time I won' t think we will ever get my hands on it. Please, understand my words.

So that means the project is still alive and well? I hope so because the soundtrack and art are amazing. Also, I was wondering if you need some coding help? Just asking - It's been a while since last gameplay vid and I'm not sure what's the cause.
The stalls are mostly related to the lack of documentation in specific areas of CryEngine, the main one right now being the character animation system. I know I've had animated characters before, but the system has been overhauled since then, and I'm also newer to the C++ side of the engine. I do have a complete blueprint of how the animation mechanics will work though, utilising some of the engine's most up-to-date features to make even running around in an empty room fun, flowy and dynamic.
Yeah, I know that feeling, always admired the power of Unreal or Unity but at the same time that power was a little overwhelming for me, so the stalls are understandable when you're trying to do something great. On the other hand... I know that you're probably getting a lot of this kind of questions, but don't you think that eventually there has to be *that* time? Time to actually finish the game? I've been hobbist game dev for 10 years or so and(at least for me) this is kinda frustrating when you have a long-time developed project you're excited for, but it seems to be a never-ending-story. Lately, I discovered that it's really impossible to be a team of one guy - consider a game, AAA title, team of 300 professionals. They need at least 3 years to make something playable, that time extends to roughly 900 years if you cut the team to one person. I learned that fact the hard way and now I'm focusing on making things much simpler than before. I also have a "sketch" for my own ray fangame, work should begin in few weeks or months(depending on my free time, university etc...). I hope to make a playable demo few months later, rest of the development will depend pretty much only on the graphics content and level design. Yeah, the main goal is to utilize my own, simple, partially reused engine - in order to actually finish the game. I'm not hating or showing off or anything. Just ask yourself "am I making a game to continue making it forever or am I making a game to finish it".

1 I see you make locations, physics, character animation, but I want to know, If your game gonna have normal enemies. I like combat system from Rayman games, but I don't see aby enemies on your posts.
2 I seen some of yours characters, like Rhook, Bzzitz, Moskette or Ly, but (excepting Rayman and Dark Rayman) they are only characters I see. I would like to see more of it.

1) There'll definitely be normal enemies, they just haven't been made yet, though we do have concept art and are happy with the designs.
2) Same - there are plenty more which just haven't been made yet
