I blame the critic reviews. The user views are at a 8.5, and that's exactly what it deserves. Actual Mana fans love this game. The music has been the only sore spot for me, it never reaches the heights of Secret of Mana. It's such a shame the studio was shut down. This is my daughter's first Mana game and she loves it like I love SoM. It's terrible that she may never see another as good, or have to wait 30 years for a better Mana game.
The GameSpot review was extremely harsh. There is a subset of the JRPG fans who will reject a game wholesale if they dislike the story and characters in it. The reviewer’s criticism of the story elements prevented them from appreciating the other aspects of the game.
This is exactly the kind of AA game that everybody says they want, but then they don’t buy it. I don’t think the demo did it any favors, it was kinda overwhelming with tutorials that weren’t necessary for like 45min of story progression. I’ve almost beaten the game and I love it, I hope it gets a second life on the new Switch.
Square Enix should hire the fired staff from Ouka Studio and have them work on a Switch or Switch 2 port of Visions of Mana. I am sure Nintendo fans will like this game.
I just finished 100%ing this game on Steam in about 70 hours of gameplay, and I had fun. I'm a long time Seiken Densetsu fan and yeah, I pre-ordered Visions, and it was a pleasant comfy experience. It makes me sad that the game and the series sell so poorly, but I can't change that.
One of the better Square Enix releases killed by a lack of marketing, a lack of development support, and a poor release window. Killing Ouka studios damaged the games reputation, but I dont believe thats why it flopped. Nine months ago, this game was first announced with the trailer gaining a total of 670k views. Three months ago, this game's release date trailer released garnering over 629k views on Square's youtube channel. It seemed highly anticipated. However the actual launch trailer two weeks ago just managed to scrape past 119k views (26K on Sony's UA-cam Channel). Other games were more interesting at the 60 dollar price point. You know it, I know it, Blackmyth Wukong knows it, everybody knows it.
This was the best Mana game for me and I've played Secret, Legends and Trials. I think it's sad this game didn't do better. I REALLY do not want to see this game franchise vanish.
Square Enix says they're going cross platform and this game shows they need to do it faster because this game would have sold 100 times better if it came out on Switch
To be fair, this game was probably in development a long time before Square-Enix's representatives changed their mind in regards to multiplatform game development and releases
Too bad. Bought the game. I think it's awesome. It starts really slow and some of the dialog is not great. But once you play for 3 or 4 hrs the game really opens up and gets awesome. Even the characters get better dialog wise. I think it's the best Mana game out of the series
I don't know if it's "the" best; there's SoM and ToM which is a tough competition; but it's definitely up there. The second part of the game and the scale of some battles actually surprised me.
@@tsukicat3143 SoM is hands down the worst mainline title except for Dawn. It was already boring, slow and unfinished at its release and only due to nostalgia people hold it in high regard.
I don't get it. This game is awesome. Do people just not enjoy fantasy settings anymore? 😢 It's such a beautiful game with lovely characters. I bought it for my steam deck and I'm having a blast.
People are brain rotted these days games like this won’t sell to people with an attention of a 5 year old. Bang bang fortnite call of duty big boom , default dance to oblivion.
Mana has always been niche. I think this is easily game of the year...but I never expected it to capture the mainstream audience. I'm just happy this series got a game of this level of quality.
40k for a JRPG is pretty insignificant even considering it's a niche genre, specially when entries of old established franchises have no problem selling a million. Between 200 to 500k I would say is a decent expectation for the more niche JRPGs, this didn't even scratch that, which is honestly a shame... I'm having a blast with it personally.... 40k at release price gives you what? 2.4 million? That's not even counting how much Sony will bite into that or how much the physical copies cost overall. Dunno if that even covers development costs, specially considering how gorgeous the game is. I just don't get why it's not selling, people complaining about the story? Honestly, it's the best in the Mana series, story was never the strong suite in the series. Gameplay is a improvement of Trials of Mana Remake, which is by far the best in the series. I think it's a case of most people who say they like Mana just having Nostalgia for Secret of Mana instead of being actual Seiken Densetsu/Mana fans...
Good idea. Not being on the Switch is a part of it, I'm sure, but truly, the optics of closing the dev's studio on the day of release (or so) does *not* look good, so what do they expect? I'm sure that's one of the things had an impact on sales -- closing the studio. I've yet to play this, but I'm sure I'll like it.
Yep, and as someone who has played a number of pc games where studios abandoned game after launch or studio shut down, I know that means bugs might not get fixed.
This game is such a blast. ❤ Its a whimiscal journey through the lands of mana. I love it as a fan but i can see why others might not. That said, i wanted legend of mana get get the trials treatment. If i want somthing deep and grittier ill play space marine 2 This is my quiet time game lol
We purchased 2 physical copies in ny ps5 versions we love the game ! It will pick up for holidays! We plan on purchasing 5 more physical copies as gifts for family and friends! This definitely needs support.
This game is pretty good I'm halfway through and give it a 7/10 so far if your on the fence pick it up on a sell my two main complaints is it's a little slow to get going and the world feels a little empty
Bit slow to start, but story picks up nicely once you hit chapter 3 and get the 4th character. If you struggle to finish open world games like me, this game keeps things on rails enough to enjoy without feeling overwhelmed by exploration.
I don't think its flopping, but I do think its not doing as well as what Square Enix wanted, likely because they had their expectations too high. Remakes/Remasters have nostalgia factors going for them, and tend to be lower budget as well. I don't think its the case here that this game is selling poorly. I think its doing about as well as it could be. If anything, Trials of Mana was inflated because people had nostalgia for that game finally coming to the west when it never previously got localized. The Mana series has been in a rut for a long time now. Its unfortunate but that is the way it is. Visions of Mana is a great game and I hope it gets more attention in the future. Another factor: game sales were on the rise in 2020. I checked to confirm, and yet, Trials of Mana released in 2020, which _also_ inflated sales. A lot of problems we have with our modern AAA gaming scene is precisely because of companies increasing expectations based on 2020, where people around the world were basically told to stay indoors so what did they do? They bought video games to play and pass the time, which GREATLY increase the sales of many games worldwide. Trials of Mana was no exception in that regard. So I reiterate: the problem isn't Visions of Mana underselling, its Trials of Mana OVERSELLING for what it realistically should have. And yes, having a Switch release would have helped somewhat, but it probably still wouldn't have Trails of Mana numbers. NOTE: A similar problem happened with Crash Bandicoot 4. Activision greenlit CB4 because of N-Sane Trilogy, but there was no possible way Crash 4 could ever have matched the success of N-Sane Trilogy.
It already disappeared from the Top Ten weekly games sales in Japan, the game is not doing well, I think the only market in which it sold decently was in France
@@pablocasas5906 I'd be surprised if it didn't sold decently in germany as well. but a ps4/ps5 game leaving the top 10 in a week is normal in japan. There's a problem with PS5 sales here overall, even big names like FF leave the top 10 after one or two weeks. To a point where it's ridiculous. For most weeks, the top 10 is 10 switch games, period.
@@FelixS. "while it still matters" implies more people should follow along, which I simply disagreed with. No need to be this defensive. Those CEOs wouldn't defend you, either.
@@NoctLightCloud You can disagree but I just said don’t tell anybody else what to do with their money. Besides the impact of visions of mana selling a couple 100k units more is bare non remarkable for „CEOs“, I think you don’t know how CEOs salary is defined, buddy. Additionally the profit of a CEO would just be a side effect (if there was any profit resulting from visions of mana sales, which isn’t), first and foremost the consumers do benefit from more sales, which was the intention of the OPs comment.
Their marketing worked on me. It’s my first mana game. I was super hyped for it. I’m playing it now and it exceeded my expectations. The game is absolutely stunning to look at too.
It could also be because it released so close to the holidays. I'm going to buy it, but I'm going to see what Black Friday and Christmas sales have to offer first. Other than pre-ordered collector's editions, I don't intend to buy a lot of games until I see the holiday discounts.
It’s an easy second guess to say a switch port was the main reason it didn’t sell, but Romancing Saga 2 remake is coming out soon with the switch as its primary platform and the graphics there are a massive step down from Visions. I think they set a technical standard for this that was higher. To go to switch you’d have a Witcher 3 situation where you have to absolutely kill frame rate and resolution to make it work.
It was intended as a Switch 2 launch title. That PS5 34gb file size heavily suggests this. These visuals would be in the 45-60gb range. They are using compression techniques and they dont need to unless theres a Nintendo version. Enter Switch 2. Pushed back to 2025. And Square -Enix probably should have delayed it to said launch. Especially since we really didn't need Visions this year. That I think was the mistake. We had FF16 DLC, Rebirth, FF14 expansion, DQ3 Remake on the way, in addition to publishing Fantasian. Thats plenty for 2024. Im even more convinced that Square-Enix's new strategy of all platforms means Nintendo Switch 2. That is the key.
i don't think there was a switch 2 version made. you're looking too much into this. Have you forgotten that the PS5 has a compression algorithm? If there was an existing nintendo version, there would already have been leaks about it. right now, nobody from credible sources has confirmed there is an existing switch 2 build
@@NuiYabuko this. They said they want the switch to have a 10 year life cycle. That would be 2027. They logically would release the next system 2 years before discontinuing the original. They'll most likely have a big sale to sell remaining units before fully moving on.
The game should've been planned and built around the Switch from the inception. They basically threw away what they tried to build with Trials and the collection to chase visual fidelity. Square Enix are where they are now with disappointments after disappointment because they have producers making questionable decisions like these and are now trying to rectify.
No. The game is WAY too pretty for the switch to be hindered by the switch. The dev team was going to get shut down regardless of how this game performed because the Chinese owners wanted to start investing less into Japanese companies and more into Chinese companies instead. Building for current gen with possibility of switch 2 port was a better move for the product. 71% of switch owners also own other consoles. That is over 100 million people that could have bought this game on another console if they wanted to. The only thing a lack of a switch port did was increase the quality of the game we did get. Poor marketing in an already niche series is what hurt this game.
Ive never played a mana game but i just bought visions yesterday and i only played it for about an hour last night... but so far i think its pretty cool, it definitely starts slow but so far im interested enough to play it through. Ive never been real big on jrpgs, usually i play dark souls style games, dmc type action games and stuff like that... but i did really like a couple of the tales games and visions of mana has similar combat so im happy with it so far
I’ll buy it day 1 if it comes on Switch or Switch 2. Don’t have a PlayStation or Xbox so I couldn’t support it unfortunately. Hopefully it gets a second chance to succeed.
I hope the mana series can survive this sales slump because it's a series close to my heart. Visions was a day one digital deluxe purchase for me because i don't want this series to go the route of other legacy titles.
Best example there was no commercial in the usa for this game japans commercial is 6 min long beautiful and emotional i preordered it because of the japanese commercial
This game deserves so much fkn love, man. Been hooked since release, but i knew it was gonna flop because there wasn't much promotion. rpgs, in general, are falling off and most gen z & and Gen Alpha are on battle royale games. The dangerous thing is SE rn is in a state where anything that fails to perform is getting thrown in the trash
Perhaps one of my favourite games ever. It hits so many right notes for me. I agree that they should have found the time to develop it for the Switch. It would have done so much better. I’ve bought it for Xbox and PC, and I’d definitely buy it for Switch as well. I really hope it finds its second wind.
I've got about 25 hours into it and while I think it's fun and certainly not a bad game, it really doesn't seem to offer any new experiences as the game goes along. Story beat, open up new area, go around and collect the same things you've already collected in the previous areas, press the same two buttons to fight pretty much the same monsters. The demo actually sold me on the game, but the game is really just the demo repeated over and over with different backround environments.
which is ok tbh. We need such games, too. Especially for when you get home from work. Not everything has to be a dense, spectacular, elaborate blockbuster.
I think overall a colorful RPG like this NEEDS a switch 2 port at some point and that is where Square Enix can make back a lot of the money. Kids are attracted to that color pallette and the Switch is popular in japan because it's portable machine. Why this game isn't ported to switch in some form I don't get it. I bought my copy day 1.
the strange thing is that they made a PS4 version. They bothered with that, but they wanted nothing to do with the switch. what a strange business decision. Even if we know a switch version would have been horrible performance wise, i think it would still have done better in japan with that version.
I think the reason they didn't release it on the Switch is because the graphics are just too good and to make it work on the Switch you would have to downgrade everything to the point where it just wouldn't look good enough. It's a real shame because I would have loved to see this game succeed on the Nintendo Switch, but maybe we'll get a Switch 2 port.
@@Victor-wi7vr i mean i already said it would run terribly on switch so i king of already knew that but, this feels like a game that should have used switch as the lead platform instead of playstation 5. playstation is a dying brand in japan, there is no logical reason to chase after the playstation crowd if your game is made for the japanese public
@@Victor-wi7vr Emulate how it may looks like on Switch: FSR 2 turns to Ultra Performance and Grahpic Quality to Low :D Honestly, Switch struggles to run Trials of Mana, a less-intensive game, so I don't think Switch can run VoM without a lot of graphical sacrifice.
They had NetEase work on it? Likely cheaper than you think OJ given how much workers get paid in China if they did the majority of grunt work. I will definitely buy this for the PS5 though.
@@JaidynReiman Yeah just saw this. As a gamer looking up NetEase's record of who they own is legit terrifying, they own both Quantic Dream, Grasshopper and one other company whose games I buy. I may not know their games record and maybe they are more talented than Tencent's own copycat games but I still want to avoid giving them my money.
I really like the Mana series, and this boy was this disheartening to hear. Mistakes were made but I'm sure Square can salvage with a bit more sales & fans like me doing what they can. None of us want this series to go back on hiatus.
It looks visually nice but I'm spoiled by DQXI.. That's my standard now for JRPGs because I loved exploring each characters past, and going on long comprehensive side tangents with them. It was a masterpiece in my opinion. I can't just trudge through a generic "let's save the world because reasons" game anymore. No.. tell me the reason. Make me care. Make me believe the characters are the ones to do it.
Bro it's literally what you are searching for, I'm 37 hours in the game, DQ 11 is my second favourite game, and I'm loving Vision so much I can't explain
Digital stores, Steam, and GamePass/PS Plus have devalued retail launch sales for physical copies on consoles. A Switch port wouldn't change a whole lot, game sales have been really bad for AA games for a while.
@@GATXShinGundam exactly. People act like a Switch port would have SAVED this game. Sure it might bump up in sales, but not much. The game was barely marketed. The demo didn't help with pushing sales either because it was mediocre at best
@@kian26masterthis sentiment gets thrown a lot. If a game is successful people say, "See, a Switch version wasn't needed", and if it fails then they say, "A Switch version wouldn't have helped anyways". Honestly, S-E did try to market Visions of Mana in Japan, they released some commercials where they made references to the previous Seiken Densetsu games on the Game Boy and Super Famicom ironically, but the audience who could be nostalgic for the Mana series is not on PS5 anymore. If Visions would have been developed for the Switch in mind, like other S-E games like Bravely Default II or the ports of Dragon Quest XII and NieR Automata, and had a spotlight in some Nintendo Direct, perhaps the game would have sold better
Very fascinating stuff👏🏿! Great video as always OJ! I’m thinking about grabbing this on Steam at some point on my laptop in the future as someone who loved my preorder of the Seiken Densetsu 3/Trials of Mana remake back in 2020 as well as the English localization of the original SNES Seiken Densetsu 3/Trials of Mana in the Nintendo Switch exclusive Mana collection in 2019. Visions of Mana and Star Ocean 6 both really should have been on the Nintendo Switch. I love and adore Star Ocean 6 on my laptop and Xbox One but I really wanted to triple dip and have it on the Nintendo Switch as well🫶🏿! Smaller Japanese Jrpg franchises like this really need to ALWAYS have a Nintendo release to guarantee minimum success!!!!!!
Its a fun game. I like the different classes. But revive the series? Maybe more combos. Story is ok. Better than your average tales series. Maybe needed more interesting things to do in the open world. I honestly just continuing to experience all the classes and how they can combo together.
I'm trying to do my Part on the Xbox. I bought 2 copy's one physical, one digital. An I talked to buddy's into getting it. Lol one of my boys done 100% it too. It's a great game
It’s a shame that it’s tanking cause it’s one of the best JPRGs I’ve ever played. I have no idea how it wouldn’t have got a switch release tho wtf the switch and PlayStation are the go to spots for JRPGs
Do the elements interact with the environment at all or is it pretty much just combat related? Like can you use an ice attack on a lake and form an ice bridge like in Genshin impact? lol. Light torches with fire element etc
If you like graphics get this. If you like performance get this. Native 4k60 and dynamic 4k60 modes. One of the best lookkng games on console with 60fps. No need for a ps5pro
I absolutely love the game. I felt like there has been more interest in jrpgs more now than ever in the west. Pretty much no marketing, which I think is probably why this isn’t selling well.
Just bought it at Target, usually do Amazon pre, but for some reason, u was hesitant. But the need to get all the vessels finally got to me. And I super happy after ff14 burn out. I am sorry this is failing. The mouthing issue is irk some but not a game killer
There is a plethora of good games that were just released. People are still playing those games and still haven't bought Visions of Mana. That's what I imagine is happening. I will buy it, but I haven't finished FF7 Rebirth yet, I played Elden Ring and then Shadow of the Erdtree. Then I bought Black Myth, but can't play it due to reasons. I'm sure many people are still playing Black Myth and even Shadow of the Erdtree. And Silent Hill 2 and Enotria too. I want to play Enotria and Silent Hill 2, and still haven't bought those games either. And to me Visions and Enotria and Silent Hill 2 are overpriced. Maybe at a discount I can manage to anticipate my purchase of these games. But most people are adults with responsibilities and in my case facing some health issues at the moment, and cannot be purchasing and playing all of these good games in a short span of time. Just chill, capitalism.
It's so depressing to hear about how poorly this game is doing. I'm like, "this is the sorta real-time hack n slash J/ARPG I love, is it ME that has weird niche tastes that most of the gaming market doesn't have?" There aren't many things like this, you either get traditional turn based JRPGs (maybe with an active time element, or something like Xenoblade does) or action games with relatively little of the whole RP side of things.
I'm loving this game. It's very good actually. Probably my favorite mana game. Honestly I think that if they aren't going to invest in stellar voice actors, drop the English. Save money and keep it in Japanese.
?? Do think people are beginning to hold back anticipating the new Switch console? This game looked so nice, I was looking forward to this for my Switch. 🤔
Idk why a lot of people say visions is bad. I played and I am loving it so far. Can anyone tell me why it is bad? The last mana game that I played before visions was legend of mana.
The future of the mana series is a little bleak now that we are seeing the sales ( in JP) of visions of mana. Other than die hard fans of the mana series, most people just passed on this game ( me as well), followed by OK reviews. I would also expect JP sales to be a lot higher given such a big IP there. Depending on sales outside JP, we may not see them add any updates and given the situation on the studio, its unlikely even more so. I expect a switch 2 port at some point, which sadly probably would have helped the first week sale numbers. Its sad Switch is so old and is hard to develop for at this point.
They shouldn’t have emphasized the story in the marketing. Mana isn’t really about story anyway and I think they bit off more than they could chew with the subject matter.
Essentially, this game came out and the video game industry failed this game. Maybe if the collectors edition didn’t cost an arm and a leg, and if there was a physical PS4 version in the US not just the UK and if there was a Switch port it would be another story. I don’t want to continue playing games in a all digital future/pure live service games
Some of the reason is because a lot of people have been turned off by squares sorta playing in the woke department with some games and people start turning away from companies doing it ! And it's sad because this game don't seem to be part of anything but being a good game ! We love it ! Another reason is people right now can't even afford food let alone buying 60 or 70 dollar games.
I’m having a great time with Visions. They need to quit handing the IP over to their B teams and bring it up to the standards they hold for the FF series. Visions is gorgeous environmentally but they just can’t seem to stop cutting corners on everything else.
They'll probably just have it on sale for (pre)black friday and the game will fly off Amazon shelves at that time (like Trials of Mana on BF). Unfortunately, much of Mana's user base is on Switch, so I agree that not having it on Switch was a huge missed opportunity. And it's competing still with Square's own blockbuster FF7 Rebirth. Switch 2... remains to be seen, but by that point it's probably going to be too late...
I will buy it on PS5. They should learn from it, take the good things (world- and citygraphics) and make a new Mana game for Switch 2 as the base that is ported on every plattform of the world. They should put a bit more work on character design (NPCs and Maincharacter) and more quality sidequests with stories.
Hey don't look at me, not my fault. I bought the disc. I think a Switch 1/ 2 port can boost sales get closer to a million. I bet Nintendo could put their own people to work on a port for this game(that Shiver studio)
That's actually a smarter answer than a lot of the ones I've seen. People are constantly parroting "yeah but the switch could run Nier automata but 1/ this isn't nier automata 2/ Nier automata already made a truckload of money with the ps4 version alone; the risk was considerably less important. and porting it on the switch 1; not 2; would cost A LOT; the game already has problems on a ps4 and that's a downgraded version. You would need REALLY big pockets in order to fund this.
What a shame. I've been playing the game for well over 40h now and I can safely say that it is worth every cent. It does have its weaknesses, but overall it's a great game.
So i buy games on xbox because they let you get a refund. Play it for an hour or 2 and dont like it. 80% u may get a refund. On my ps5 if u look at the game. No refund. Xbox is generous with refunds up to a point.

The studio closing is not square enix’s fault. We need this game to do well so we can have future mana games.
Literally don’t care what anyone says. This month I am playing this and astrobot and I couldn’t be more pleased.
i mean i did my part. i bought two copies, one for me and one for my niece.
This game is so good and is getting great word of mouth, so I'm hoping it has long legs!
I'm sure it will come to Switch 2 in the future. It is truly such a fun game so far so I hope people give it a chance in the future
needs to be part of the launch or with in that same period same for metaphor re-zero
@@dashawnjean3604 dq 11 that is all
I convinced my friends to try the game... they are all waiting for the Switch 2 release. Not being on Switch was suicide.
The english translated dialogue is kinda cringy for me.
The art style /graphics are phenomenal
We need Sword of Mana and Heroes of Mana brought to modern consoles too.
40,000 units being a “flop” is crazy. I think games are suffering the same bubble as movies.
Its a whimiscal journey through the lands of mana.
I love it as a fan but i can see why others might not.
That said, i wanted legend of mana get get the trials treatment.
If i want somthing deep and grittier ill play space marine 2
This is my quiet time game lol
We purchased 2 physical copies in ny ps5 versions we love the game ! It will pick up for holidays! We plan on purchasing 5 more physical copies as gifts for family and friends! This definitely needs support.
This game is pretty good I'm halfway through and give it a 7/10 so far if your on the fence pick it up on a sell my two main complaints is it's a little slow to get going and the world feels a little empty
They should do a Switch 2 Port and include better sidequests and fill the world.
Bit slow to start, but story picks up nicely once you hit chapter 3 and get the 4th character. If you struggle to finish open world games like me, this game keeps things on rails enough to enjoy without feeling overwhelmed by exploration.
@@xdcksgmd37 yeah I found going through the main story tell I got to chapter 4 was the best way before going back and doing the stuff I missed
@@Kozmo-Kamuy If I could go back in time, I would have waited until chapter 7
I just bought a PS5, waiting for it to arrive and honestly, this might be the first game I buy.
OG forget to mention the xbox version keeps selling out on amazon
mn this game was just tooo damn good man. 40 hours in so far.
I bought it full price while it still matters. I was sitting on Visions of Mana and other games, but this one more desperately needs a sales boost.
Felt the same
I'm not gonna contribute to financing the CEOs' next vacation. Decisions have consequences. Let them feel them.
@@NoctLightCloud Maybe you start first and let other people make their own decisions. You have no business in how others spent their money.
SE needs to fix their attitude towards remasters.., constantly censoring sh1t!
Didn't really enjoy the demo, but bought the game day1! Really glad I did that!
Who says the Switch 2 was pushed back? Seeing Nintendo's output for 2024, it seems more likely that the successor was never intended for 2024.
@@NuiYabuko this.
They said they want the switch to have a 10 year life cycle. That would be 2027.
They logically would release the next system 2 years before discontinuing the original. They'll most likely have a big sale to sell remaining units before fully moving on.
First time playing a Mana game loving it so far. Great game
The game should've been planned and built around the Switch from the inception. They basically threw away what they tried to build with Trials and the collection to chase visual fidelity. Square Enix are where they are now with disappointments after disappointment because they have producers making questionable decisions like these and are now trying to rectify.
Spot on
Only reason that there no sales, thr studio shut down,no furture updates.
I'm literally waiting to buy this on Switch 2
This game is fire. I actually played trials and after that i bought this one too because it was amazing. no regrets
Fair, I find it comforting and a great bedtime game. Not too intense or serious, I can just vibe with it
I think overall a colorful RPG like this NEEDS a switch 2 port at some point and that is where Square Enix can make back a lot of the money.
@@Victor-wi7vr Emulate how it may looks like on Switch: FSR 2 turns to Ultra Performance and Grahpic Quality to Low :D
Honestly, Switch struggles to run Trials of Mana, a less-intensive game, so I don't think Switch can run VoM without a lot of graphical sacrifice.
I bought it for the ps5 and I really do like it. I feel that it should have released on the switch. I like the mana series!!
They had NetEase work on it? Likely cheaper than you think OJ given how much workers get paid in China if they did the majority of grunt work.
I will definitely buy this for the PS5 though.
Netease is the owner, but the game was actually developed in Japan by Ouka Studios.
@@JaidynReiman Yeah just saw this. As a gamer looking up NetEase's record of who they own is legit terrifying, they own both Quantic Dream, Grasshopper and one other company whose games I buy. Not a fan of Tencent's but NetEase outright owns more game companies of consequence to me.
I want them to get their hand out of my pocket in terms of taking my money.
It's no Y's game, but I have enjoyed playing the past 30 hours. I have always loved the Mana series.
Every RPG lover is playing Wukong. Trials of Mana cannot compete in terms of hype
I would love an hd-2d mainline.
Will pick it up down the line, but on a huge sale. Trials of Mana went on huge sale, and I'm counting on that to get Visions of Mana
Its a fun game. I like the different classes. But revive the series? Maybe more combos. Story is ok. Better than your average tales series.
Maybe needed more interesting things to do in the open world. I honestly just continuing to experience all the classes and how they can combo together.
They need to put a physical game on PS4
I loved this game, actually think its one of the best in the series, I still have Secret of Mana as the best.
I'm trying to do my Part on the Xbox. I bought 2 copy's one physical, one digital. An I talked to buddy's into getting it. Lol one of my boys done 100% it too. It's a great game
This is a good game o I'm convinced if it's trailing in sales it's because people are broke bruh. Life is lifing lol
I’m planning on buying the physical copy shortly
Seen enough to justify it
It’s a shame that it’s tanking cause it’s one of the best JPRGs I’ve ever played. I have no idea how it wouldn’t have got a switch release tho wtf the switch and PlayStation are the go to spots for JRPGs
Visions is a great game and japan is failing this series and its sad 😢
Do the elements interact with the environment at all or is it pretty much just combat related? Like can you use an ice attack on a lake and form an ice bridge like in Genshin impact? lol. Light torches with fire element etc
If you like graphics get this. If you like performance get this.
Native 4k60 and dynamic 4k60 modes.
One of the best lookkng games on console with 60fps. No need for a ps5pro
I absolutely love the game. I felt like there has been more interest in jrpgs more now than ever in the west. Pretty much no marketing, which I think is probably why this isn’t selling well.
Im basically holding out for a Switch 2 port.
Would definitely support a switch version… let’s get it
Just bought it at Target, usually do Amazon pre, but for some reason, u was hesitant.
I'm like, "this is the sorta real-time hack n slash J/ARPG I love, is it ME that has weird niche tastes that most of the gaming market doesn't have?"
There aren't many things like this, you either get traditional turn based JRPGs (maybe with an active time element, or something like Xenoblade does) or action games with relatively little of the whole RP side of things.
I hope they'll port it to Switch, it's my main console now
I'm loving this game.
I don’t see square spending all that money to make the game just to put it on sale for 29.99 or 39.99
Essentially, this game came out and the video game
industry failed this game.
They've played in the "woke department" for decades now. Stuff like that is really painful to read.
I think they are going to make a switch port of this game sooner or later since the switch 2 will still be backwards compatible.
we still don't know if it will be BC.
Work with Nintendo or pay the price because Nintendo is now the king of video games and that's the Truth.
It's strange because the hype for this was huge. It looks as good as a Xenoblade game. But I guess there is lag? I suck so I wouldn't even notice lag.
STOP having handholding, that is why i point finger towards it. At least let us turn the auto hints off!
I plan on getting this game but don't have a lot of extra funds right now.
I’m enjoying the game. And ya if it came out on the switch the sale would have been way better for sure.
What a shame. I've been playing the game for well over 40h now and I can safely say that it is worth every cent. It does have its weaknesses, but overall it's a great game.
I love this game!
So i buy games on xbox because they let you get a refund. Play it for an hour or 2 and dont like it. 80% u may get a refund.
On my ps5 if u look at the game. No refund. Xbox is generous with refunds up to a point.
