PayPal Payments is a new plugin that combines 2 features together called PayPal Checkout and PayPal Card Processing. Both used to be their own standalone plugins. PayPal did this to eliminate confusion and create an all-in-one solution with 1 plugin. If you use PayPal Standard are confused I have another video for that. You could also upgrade from PayPal Standard to PayPal Payments. The same goes for users that are currently usiing PayPal Checkout and want to upgrade. Overall, let me know if you have any questions. I also think I may have to make a video describing differences between PayPal Standard, PayPal Express Checkout, and PayPal Payments and how they all work. Is there a certain way to link your venmo account with this? All other methods are working but when I hit the venmo button it brings up a QR Code that leads to an error (expectedly because I haven't linked the account)
Hi, woo-commerce has a payment option paypal, but doesn’t accept direct credit cards payments to all countries. My country is not on the list with countries that I can receive direct credit cards payments from woo commerce payments module. Any solution? Thanks!
One Question concerning Payment Providers
When working with Subscriptions. There are a couple of addons that allow the Change of Active Subscriptions.
(e.g. Self Service Dashboard, or others) - Even a Admin could change a Subscription e.g. when a User is in need
of a Change.
When Changing a Subscription e.g. by adding new Subscription Items, or only by changing the Quantity of a Subscription Item,
this would lead to a significant change of the Recurring Amount. This should be generally possible (as per Documentation / Advanced Features)
But when reading the Docs of the Payment Providers its getting Complicated.
PayPal Says, if you want be able to use Subscriptions, or have access to advanced Features you need to have "Reference Transactions" Enabeld,
which you have to apply for at PayPal. And even the enablement of Reference Transactions I'm not sure if a bigger increase of the
total Amount would go through. ( i read something about 20% is possible in a 180 day period)
So my requirement is, when i give the Customers the Option to add items to a running and active Subscription which Payment
Provividers are "totally OK" with this, and which are kind of problematic ?

Hello, I have a trouble, we don't see button Venmo on ios, desktop safari -- on apple devices in summary. Only button Paypal. But on others (androind,windows) we see both button- Paypal and Venmo, right. May be anybody can say where need search a problem? Thanks

I went through many literature about this and I don't see where we canot use our personal account to accept payments. Maybe it's recommended to have a paypal business account but it's not mandatory if you are a small business and just started

Does Authorize.Net Work with Woocommerce PayPal, or Do we need to have Stripes? We use Authorize.net for payments in Woocommerce and would like to set up PayPal and Amazon Pay on our website.
Do you have any idea why this just wouldn't work on some woocommerce sites? I have done all of the things you mentioned, but PayPal still isn't working. (It's installed & connected but I get an error when I try to complete a transaction with paypal.) Do we need to enable advanced card processing? Or is there some other reason why this might just randomly not work?
Hi Tina, what is the specific error message you receive from PayPal if you do a test transaction from your live site? In addition, is this for a regular product or a subscription based product using WooCommerce Subscriptions?

I believe you need to host my website as PayPal will not be able to load their scripts when you are on localhost. I could be wrong but if you are having issues you need to host on a domain. I do recommend Kinsta if you are looking for a high quality hosting provider that also has a free tool called DevKinsta that you can push/pull from your live domain to localhost: sgwp.dev/zky

Do you currently use a multi-vendor plugin? Are these vendors or affiliates? I would first try to find a multi-vendor plugin that has a PayPal integration or researching to see how others solve this.

Did you try clearing your cache? In addition, if you go to your site in an incognito window and add a product to the Cart, go to Checkout, do you see any payment methods?

So, this is not a new account.. the plugin is updated and there's no other payment methods active.

The old PayPal checkout was working fine
were you using the old PayPal Express Checkout plugin? Or was it PayPal Standard?
I was using the old WooCommerce PayPal checkout until the plugin was removed by WooCommerce, so am using PayPal standard now
There was a message from WooCommerce to switch to this present PayPal checkout which I did but card processing enabling. So am using PayPal standard now

@@Chibuikeanyaehie213 If PayPal Standard was working for you I would deactivate the PayPal Payments plugin and then reactivate PayPal Standard. If you want to upgrade to PayPal Payments in the future I would recommend testing on a staging site.

If you go to WooCommerce Settings > Payments > what payment methods are enabled on your site right now? In addition, what other payment plugins do you have activated besides WooCommerce PayPal Payments?

did you try logging out of Paypal > disconnecting > reconnect again > login to paypal?
@@simongondeck I don't think I have managed to connect the account as yet. Clicking the link for connect your account simply reloads the same page.

If you go to WooCommerce Settings then click the Payments tab what payment methods do you have enabled on your site? In addition, did you connect your PayPal account under the title called “PayPal Payments” in the Payments tab?

@@taofeekadekunle1120 what payment method did you use before? Has that been deactivated? In addition did you enable logging in PayPal Payments in your WooCommerce settings ? That should tell you more.
