When I first found your channel I was going to ask you why on earth you didn’t have a hound to keep you company and then I saw that you tour with your band. At least you get to look after Mango. He’s adorable ❤❤ And, every cloud has a silver lining as you found out with that new switch having to be replaced! Peace ✌🏻
@@mynarrowboatlife They change your life immeasurably for the better. We’ve always had Staffs and I can’t imagine not having a dog or two around. Maybe when that beard is fully grey, eh? 😉
Thanks for sharing and bringing us into your home, if ever you did a Q & A my question would be what you dislike the most and what you love the most, Save that one for later, you’ll be glad spring is here 👍🔨📐😄
Just found you on Liveration...New Subbie, Beautiful Boat I'm in Awe...I have the Grand Union canal on my Doorstep where I walk everyday as I love the boats...it was Great to actually have a tour of yours Thank You
Hey bro, Excellent vlog,,, well done for the quick elimination of finding that fault!!! U did well And yup nice to have a man’s best friend eh? A loyal dog with never ending love with no questions,, Nice one bro 💪👍
Pricing up electrics for a narrowboat like fuses, isolation switches, batterry connectors. Soon can add up. So i ended up going for the cheapest prices. Might have to re-think that. Cheers for the shared knowledge.
Your switch like you said is a shunt, so your cables short somewhere on the circuit or maybe because of the electric storm and blow your shunt for protection, always good to keep a tools box with some spare parts... I see you are equiped with Makita tools, you can go wrong... It was my first video i see on your channel.
The switch is actually separate from the shunt (I have two) It was more wires being stretched with the continual movement of the boat. Which made the wires loosen!
Really interesting. Your life on a boat is great to see. I love your music too. And, can I give you a kofi to the price of the nearest barber for a beard tidy! Don’t know about over there but in Oz there’s barbers all over even in regional places like mine (Blue Mtns.) and all the men are better for it. :)
@@mynarrowboatlife if the women around are bearded you have a problem and if it's guys, they All go to the barbers, even the Bears!!!!! :) There are many beards here in the mountains
Great video, just found your channel and really like your videos, Your boat looks awesome and living the dream, I've been very interested in narrow boating for some years so have subscribed. A question I have is what is the internet reliability and speeds like on a narrow boat, I'm guessing that it would depend on your location perhaps and how far away you are from cities or towns to get reliable connections. I'm seriously considering buying a narrow boat but would require reliable internet for work to maintain an income, I would appreciate any experience or advice from those in similar situations.
Couple of questions I have, do you stay put or cruise the network, how long is your boat, and where is the area you were / are moored on the liveration channel? , it looks like a river not canal, this is where I first saw your boat … thanks !
@@mynarrowboatlife its a nice spot, very picturesque, & indeed looks like u are on a river, the in laws used to live on a 64 footer on the macc canal. up here in peak district. like the icelandic musician look man. keep it going, keep living the dream fella
Loved all the music you used, especially when you got the power back up it switched to a plugged in distorted, harder riff…was that you/your band? Great video, appreciated it!

Hello Mango, what a lucky boy you are. A warm fire and a boat with electrics. Loved the music in the background.

My advice is not to go cheap! You end up having to replace it anyway
@@mynarrowboatlife Buy cheap, buy twice.
