Good! I like this version but the live one is GREAT! 😁
Ha! Saw the first image of the actual video and told myself NOT to say anything. This has been up 47 minutes, so you'll have plenty of comments already. But this way you get more chance to pay attention to the lyrics. Official and live videos are almost always worth a listen each. Thank you for your breakdown.
It's easily done with Ren Video's but the contrast between this and the Live version is so big makes the Live version a must
There are no wrong videos with Ren mate. All provide a different angle and sound. Subscribed! Hope you do the live version too the vocals are beyond amazing.

The live version is the best and it has a real video. I still like this one because it is quite different than the live and a cool lyric video.
Loved the reaction! You should really check out How to be me (Live) with Ren and chinchilla together. Same vibe as this one, but maybe even better in my opinion. You’ll love it!

Thank you. I,ve been subscribed to your channel for awhile. I don,t really comment often, but how quickly you interpreted this particular song, made me feel that there is at least someone else out there that gets it. I suffer from both mental health issues; as well as, a debilitating rare autoimmune disease. This articulates how I feel in regards to mental health and expresses just as accurately how it feels having my particular illness. It can be tempting to stop standing on tip toes and not just fall, but actively step forwards. It’s nice seeing that there are people who understand and deals with similar situations. Thanks again.

I'm REALLY ambivalent about your really - sorry you understand the lyrics so well, and pleased that someone else out there reacted so similarly to me. Not alone. After years on a roller coaster, I'm in the chalk outline phase with my mental health meds. Better than I was - at least I can leave my home now - but now hollow. Empty. Being aware that you aren't feeling like you should, especially the good feelings, because all of the feelings and connections are gone. Walking around in a floating chalk outline. Not only is Ren a mad talented artist, but he has something worth saying. And to do it so eloquently...

It's not a problem or anything, but could you pin a comment or include the mention in your description when you reference another song (esp if you've reacted to it)? I'm really curious about the Bo Burnham song you mentioned, but I'm not familiar with his/her music. I'm fairly new to your channel, so it's just something for future videos if you remember.

If you haven't already done "Animal Flow," you may want to consider approaching it similarly, but in reverse. 😀 I'd watch the live acoustic to understand the lyrics, then watch the video, which adds layers to the lyrics if you're familiar with Orwellian thoughts.

After seeing a million reactions to the other version, this was nice.. . I do hope you do the other, but great reaction all the same, and I had forgotten how good this version was
New Subscriber... LOVE your Ren Reactions! No need to be angry at yourself about it; Ren frequently puts out several versions of a song, and it's not always apparent which version the fans are "looking for". Trust me when I say, you won't lose any views if/when you do the "Live" version, the fans will all be happy to see it. You already nailed it with the really odd one out, Money Games 2 (Lyric Video), if the fans weren't specific with the recommendations, it's not on you.
Also, you've been hitting the heavy Ren catalog since you started (cheers on that!), but it's worth seeing his other work as well, particularly his busking for a breath of fresh air. I *VERY* highly recommend either:
The Big Push - "I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop" (it's all 3 songs in one video, but look for the video with Ren in RED SUSPENDERS), or
Ren & Sam Thompkins - "Earned It/Man's World/Falling" (again, its all 3 songs played together in a single video)

Please try 'Crutch', 'Dear God', 'Insomnia', 'Dominoes' and 'How To Be Me'. Those are his older tracks but absolutely amazing and very very very touching.....
This isn't the wrong video m8y! It's actually quite refreshing seeing this one, not seen this one been reacted to for a while.. they both hold there own but yes the live one does have a crazy ceiling vibe witch I thi k emphasises the song its self. But still great reaction! 👊👍

Charlie, (may I call you Charlie?), I think you accidently made the right call here in watching this version first. Don't beat yourself up over it. My reasoning being, you were able to concentrate on the world alone this first sitting, without the distraction of watching Ren and Chinchilla. This gave you a chance to really digest the meaning of the song. Now you will be able to appreciate the addition of seeing the performance, without being overwhelmed by trying to take it all in at once. Then again, what do I know.....?

Most people seem to recommend the live version of this but I definitely prefer this version. It's just glorious.
Please do (Seven Sins) 1st song off his number 1 album "sick boi". It is fantastic, and describes exactly how he feels physically and mentally.

I knew you were going to get "I'm scared of being OK" - looking forward to watching you react to the live version of this. I appreciate that. I do ha e some things working against me though. I'm nearly 40 with 3 kids, single dad trying to make ends meet, and I struggle with Muscle Tension Dysphonia so I can very rarely sing. I hate it
