he's not a moron but he is right in saying out of all of the professional oboists in the world they dont all quite have the same level of musicianship. Some are different artists than other... i think he shows a lot of versatility in this recording that many oboists just simply do not have.
I do like the sound of this oboe, but I can't get used to the lip vibrato. I don't hate it, it's just different. I heard he uses a Ludwig Frank oboe. Is this correct?
i chose to stop responding to someone resorting to childlike comments and name calling. Albrecht Meyer and Emmanual Abbhul are by no means 'common" oboe players. Look at the major symphonies and you'll find that even out of those numbers, very few are at the same level as they are. Only the best of the best reach that level. No one said that most have lmiited versatility, but we said most are not at this level. His loss, not mine.

Very good sound and very romantic a performance but I dont like vibrato because he is doing from the lip.
