Andrew, I just found this wonderful floral lesson from 2019. I love that you still present such a simple approach to painting loose for we beginners. I also LOVE your singing. See you next weed on Live Painting. Good to connect with you and all. Cindy in NM.
Hullo from Rome again! I love your videos and tonight also one of my favourite Beatles songs. Your vase with flowers is so fresh and spontaneous. I think one of these days I will take all my courage and try to have my first watercolour. Tnank you!
Omg how have I missed you?! How much fun this was!!! You are like watching a comedy show that you can learn a bit about Watercolour too! Loved it! And your painting ❤️ 🎨
The sound and picture were great today Andrew ... I am viewing this 2 months late though. Beautiful painting. I must try Hahnemühle, I read somewhere it works well for wet on wet. My papers always buckle a lot.
Andy, loved the scamp! Loved the beetles singing. Very fun today, even though I'm a day late. Thanks for leaving this up a few days. My gmail didn't deliver the mail until today? Weird, dont think I had that happen before. So glad it cam in today. I bought WN Mauve & couldn't wait to use it.
You are so much fun and so gifted to boot!! Thank you so much for sharing your talents and giving me a happy time. And yes, I was singing along here in CA. Did you here me?? 💕
Susie, I'm not exactly sure when he started using his own collection of brushes, but he uses brushes referred to as "The Loose Gang." There is a link to them below the video. They include Big Brian, a size 16 round brush with a modified tip, Dangerous Dave (red handle) a modified size 14 dagger brush, Mini Dave (black handle), which is also a dagger brush, but quite a bit smaller. (I own several other brands of daggers and his "Mini Dave" is by far my favorite for it's ability to hold both water and pigment); Miss Rigger, which is a rigger with a script brush handle, and lastly Flat Phil, a 1/2" flat brush. I did not purchase this, as I already owned a good 1/2" flat brush. I have Big Brian, Dangerous Dave, Mini Dave and Miss Rigger and love each of them. I will say that Dangerous Dave has taken me a bit of getting used to as it holds SO MUCH water and pigment. Andrew designed these brushes to help us to get "loose" in our painting style and they do help! They come from the UK and took a little over 3 weeks to arrive. I hope this helps! P.S. In this video I believe he used Dangerous Dave, Mini Dave and Miss Rigger. Lastly, he also has monthly membership, which gives you access to over 100 completely narrated videos with drawing, pigments used listed at the beginning (he uses Winsor and Newton Cotman pigments primarily, unless a color he wants is only available in W&N's Professional line.)

Picture keeps going in and out of focus! Is it my tablet??
Darlene, I had the very same problem. I live in the states and just figured it was because the video streaming was from over the pond.
or black?
I like your painting style but all your videos are blurry for me (other UA-cam videos are not). Wish I could see your techniques better!
Hay... Mucho habla ... Me cuesta mirar como trabaja y a la vez leer

Your painting is very pretty but please do not sing just paint, thank you.
