I met Mike one time before a Rancid concert. He was just standing at the front door. Everyone was walking by and didn’t notice him. I said hi, he then proceeded to talk to me for an hour. Just shooting the shit. He was asking more questions to me than I was to him. Nice guy. What a character.
I always thought Punk N Drublic was their one true masterpiece. It had all the best elements of who nofx were but also paved the way for what their sound and style would eventually evolve to. It had the intensity of S & M Airlines but ended softly with classic gems like Reeko. What was best about being 13 in 1994 was that i had my whole teen years to watch the pinnacle of 90s skate punk evolve into all these wonderful sub genres.. its good seeing fat mike still relevant and the same
A few years ago he wrote a guest article for a German music magazine where he named Suffer his favorite album. However, he states in this video, that the three records mentioned may not be his favorites but rather a selection of 3 records you can listen to front to back wihtout skipping.
"The decline" is not the best NoFX song but The total artwork of this century. As if God had managed to express himself philosophically through NoFX and Cesar Cepeda so that finally the human being becomes aware of the love he owes to himself.
Mine are The Decline, Theme from NOFX Album, Perfect Government, Linoleum, Dinosaurs WIll Die, We Called it America, Separation of Skate and Church and many many more. :)
Two of his top 3 are my fav two of my top three of their songs! So disappointed I didn't hear The Decline when I saw them live. It is an 18 min or so song tho.
Sweet, I wondered what Nofx thought of herojuana cuz i never hear them play it live but its like my favorite song of theirs, along with the decline lol.
He used to be. He changed his mind for some reason. It's actually pretty funny, because he became a vegetarian shortly after Liberal Animation was released, which had a ton of anti-vegetarian songs on it.
don't feel bad about Eating something that's dead So why should I be sad For chickens being force fed So I like eating fish Tell me what's wrong with this How can you blame me For eating chicken of the sea? Vegetarian Go fry an egg Yes incredibly pro vegetarian lyrics there.
I always thought he hated the Beatles, and didn’t he used to go on and on about how he’s a vegetarian or vegan or something? He used to get real preachy about people who eat meat

Pretty interesting, nice that he seemed genuinely happy to talk to a fan instead of being a dick like some people.
Obviously that wasn't during his Cokie The Clown phase.
Lucky
at least did you hug him? I would love do it..
The way, dungeon, cage and body bag appeared in the boxes so nonchalantly legit made me laugh.
that sounds like my boyfriend...
And Wife's pee
"My wife's pee"
That's fucking disgusting
I respect that
but that's fucking gross hahahaha
Don't knock it till you try it!

For me it's Pump up the valuum then PID, it's a very fine line. I think mainly because my introduction to NOFX was Dinosaurs Will Die.
And yeah, he hasn't changed a bit, still an asshole Hahaha
their one true masterpiece? have you heard the decline?
According to Wikipedia, “Milo Goes To College” by Descendants is his _favorite_ album
He also says that in the song "13 stitches"
@@ilquintopezzo "then I hopped a bus, to licorice pizza and bought, my all time favorite record!"
@@KidRoctopus93 And pretty sure he says that in Hepatitus Bathtub too
@@jimb1453 he does but I'm pretty sure he sang it first

Well, like Mike once sang, he's a huge fan of Bad Religion!
I had no and I mean no fucking clue The Beatles would be Mike’s #2 all time favorite band. That put a smile on my face.
question, why not use the bands music that you're interviewing as your transition/intro songs?
copyright probably
I love watching these but the intro is awful, why not play the bands music ?
theyre called shitty core whatsoever scream shit
maybe because of copyright issues?
Favorite punkrocker on this planet since 1991!
Herojuana- really underrated song
The entire Pump Up The Valuum is
Reda Lhioui Pump Up The Valuum is fucking awesome
Most underrated song is Lower by nofx. I don't understand how that was a b-side.
Underrated by who?
i don't think so, they play this live some times, there are so many underrated songs in nofx i can't even start to count
God i love NOFX!
Me too!
I don't like me anymore! I can relate to the song, and the mark on the list he gave it.
Tyler Phillips aren't you edgy...
Zerdok311 aren't you a fuckwit for talking shit on a UA-cam comment?
*My **_favorite_* *NOFX* songs are: _Bob, Johny Appleseed, Linoleum, Stickin' in my eye,_ and _I am an alcoholic_
wow... didn't expect Mike's top 3 own songs would be the exact same ones I'd choose
I would agree with The Decline being their best, it's fucking incredible.
I bet Fat Mike smells bad. Bad Religion is my favourite band as well! Goodnight!
"The decline" is not the best NoFX song but The total artwork of this century. As if God had managed to express himself philosophically through NoFX and Cesar Cepeda so that finally the human being becomes aware of the love he owes to himself.
The Decline came out in 1999; which was the previous century (20th century).
Having read their book, all of those answers are no surprise anymore^^
Fat Mike as a peaky blinders fan makes so much sense lol, that show is fucking incredible.
The Spits are so dope! I agree that they are a band I tend to play on the reg. Just listened to em yesterday actually.
Dude, did he just say he drinks his wife’s pee? 🤣🤣🤣
Herojuana, The Decline and Falling in Love are my favorite NoFx songs.
Mine are The Decline, Theme from NOFX Album, Perfect Government, Linoleum, Dinosaurs WIll Die, We Called it America, Separation of Skate and Church and many many more. :)

Oh look, another nazi projecting his behavior onto everyone else.
Eat the meek, stickin' in my eye & hotdog in a hallway are my favorite 3 nofx songs
I love seeing love for "Hotdog In A Hallway". Totally awesome opening riff and song all around.
Music we agree but food we definitely do not. Good TV. BR no arguments but the amber liquid I prefer is single malt
Two of his top 3 are my fav two of my top three of their songs! So disappointed I didn't hear The Decline when I saw them live. It is an 18 min or so song tho.
Kudos on The Spits brother. Agree wholeheartedly

3:06 Jesus Christ Mike....
Is Fat Mike being serious about this stuff or just messing with us?
Well, he's Fat Mike, so neither of those answers would surprise anyone haha
Venomous Vince he's serious. He used to hide it but he decided to be as vocal about it as possible.
clashcitycretin10 I'm not surprised lol
Venomous Vince Just listen to S&M Airlines (the song, not the whole record) and you'll get your answer.
Read the book hepatitis bathtub or listen to it on UA-cam it’s awesome but you will love the opening line of the book
clashcitycretin10 May I ask what influenced your name? I used to play at a beloved venue in Riverside, CA called Clash City Station.
Always The Three Stooges. Fat Mike and I had finally found something in common. 👍☺
God I fucking love NOFX and Fat Mike X3
what is the band/song playing during the intro/outro of the video?
Luigi Cilla I want to know too. Apparently this channel not professional enough to put it in the description like everyone else does.
Luigi Cilla Being As An Ocean - Mediocre Shakespeare

Sweet, I wondered what Nofx thought of herojuana cuz i never hear them play it live but its like my favorite song of theirs, along with the decline lol.

He used to be. He changed his mind for some reason. It's actually pretty funny, because he became a vegetarian shortly after Liberal Animation was released, which had a ton of anti-vegetarian songs on it.
